Sounds like you set the volume in HD Tweaks to High or something rather than 100db default. I did the same

In-call sound.

The in-call volume is really really low, is there anyway to solve this?
I was just about to make this topic. Seconded. It's so hard to hear people when in call. There has to be some sort of sound boost.
Nice and simple, nope there is no way to increase the incall volume atm. What might work is that super old trick where you call your voicemail in WM and put it in speaker and then boot into android and that maybe would still work on these builds, don't blame me if I'm wrong because its been months since I've even tried this so good luck if it works for ya

Not yet really. There are rumors of an audio boost of some kind for incall coming soon. U can try the volume controller app from the marketplace and see if that does anything.

I think this has something to do with the missing sound adjustment .csv's in /system/etc. I doubled checked on my G1 running 2.1 and it definitely has them.

Its up to you. If you think its a software issue, Do a factory reset or even reinstall your ROM. Flash ur ARC and see, if you have the same issue, it would be a software issue. Feel free to visit your service centre then ..!
Good Luck..!
well with bootloader unlocked no waranty, hope it isnt a hardware problem :S
I reflashed the ROM with same results, Im thinking in doing a full resintall and also give CM10.1 a chance hehe
but before that I would like to know if there are other options, some kind of parameter that I can set or something that I can check, I never liked the idea of something not working just reinstall hehehe
Ok a lot of CM10/10.1 ROMs have been having this problem. Try lowering your volume during call and then raising it again.

Lowering the speaker volume you mean? and it will fix the problem of the other person not hearing me enough? Quite a funny solution hehehe
Didnt work for me?
Any more ideas?
There is a sound level control missing from standard sound settings of arc s,it is voice calls sound level. There are programs for sound control that give you access to this control where you can set it up seperatly from other sound levels. You may also lock the elevel so it will not change by sound level key.Try xperia ultimate HD mod v 4.4.It gives also seperate control on call voice.Hope that helps.

Yup, all the controlls were at full, but doesnt that controll (voice call) managa the volume of your speaker? my problem is the other person not hearing me, so I suppose is more of a microphone problem.

Look I had the same problem as your's and solved it by raising the voice call control to maximum.Do you see this control now and at which level it is.Supply a screen shoot if u can.By the way you can test your microphone by using a voice recorder program.

GS3 Liquid smooth rom. Speaker

I've been searching for an answer an can't find it?
Running Liquid Smooth v2.4 everything is practically flawless IMO, but my speaker volume is ridiculously low?
I've tried all sorts of things and nothing works.
When people have a problem with the speaker concerning this ROM
They seem to only complain about it being too loud?
Any suggestions as too boosting the volume?

Maybe audio that you're trying to play is just low.
What is it that the volume is low on?
Music? Video? Both?

Well ringer volume is fine. But any video playback volume is horrible. Watching YouTube or while recording a video I practically have to yell into the mic for any audio playback. Very weird?

Well that's odd. It may have to do with the ROM itself.
Have you changed anything on the ROM at all? System wise?

Only thing I have changed are the Status bar icons and my boot animation through "ROM Toolbox" other then that the ROM is stock

Hmm, the only thing I can think of then is a problem with the ROM itself.
Read through the liquidsmooth thread and check if anyone else is having the same problem as you, and if there is a fix.

video recording Loud Audio issue

Hello XDA I've searched everywhere and can't find any working fix. The only thing I know is something called AGC. Automatic gain control this is causing the loud audio being cit down.
Basically the problem is when the phone records in a loud environment the audio seem to go low and only your voice can be heard. I know this is purposely implemented but Is they a way to turn it off or off an another video recording app that does implement this feature
http://instagram.com/p/f1CRU3wRHL/
Here is an example I'm in Old Trafford (Manchester United's football ground) you would it's quite loud when the players are coming out indeed it is but my phone makes it quiet and only my voice is heard clearly.any help would be appreciated

if someone knows how to edit smali code, i'm sure they can turn it off, but as far as I know, if someone knew, they would have already done it. I'll ask lyapota.

LG G3 Call Recording

Anyone found an app to AUTOMATICALLY record phone calls? I've tried two, ACR and Call Recorder. Both have problems recording the other person - with ACR the other person sounds garbled and with Call Recorder the other person isn't recorded at all.
The stock dialer lets you record phone calls, but not automatically.
Anyone found an app that will record phone calls on the G3? What is it?
Thanks!
Stock recorder does not let you record on a d851. Have spoken to both devs they all say it a hardware issue but yet tweakedbox g3 records.
AWESOME G3

G3 tweaksbox will allow you to add call recording and then recorded calls go to Voice Recorder app.
FYI, I get the same garbled caller side of my recorded calls with G3 Tweaksbox for some reason.
The other end of the line is garbled and distorted, barely able to make anything out of it, about 85% of all calls are like that, whether outgoing or incoming.
And it seems the louder the other end of the line is, it becomes even more distorted, but it's not from talking loud, my end is recorded fine, even when I tried yelling, it seems to be the way it's handling the receiving audio.

Yes call recording will work natively. The only issue is the other person sounds REALLY bad.

I have the same problem on call recordings with my D851, the other person sounds really distorted.
Pretty sure this is how you can get it working...
After talking to @wideasleep1 about his settings with Automatic Call Recorder (FREE), and applying a couple settings of my own in both phone settings and in G3 TweaksBox, I was able to get the call recording nice and clear!... here's how to do it:
Pic 1 - G3 TweakBox settings
Pic 2 - Settings (access this during call)
Pic 3 - Automatic Call Recorder settings (1 of 2)
Pic 4 - Automatic Call Recorder settings (2 of 2)
*once in a while on a certain call the recipient will sound fuzzy, maybe is related to the phone's main audio volume while on the call though. I'd say about 50%-70% up is a good volume. Anyways, someone wanna try this out and post your results?
Pic 4... Sorry
Ok this will add the record button when on a call. It will not auto record maybe I'll see about modding the apks to make that happen when I get some time. I have tried this and it's not terribly bad. There's a little crackling if the other persons voice gets to loud. So if you just want the option to be there for the next time you call Comast it''s there, also this is a flashable zip so please do a backup first :good:

Are you on a ODEX rom? If so rename LGIncallUI.odex and LGTeleService.odex.
I use boldbeast in the play store on mode four. Has automatic or manual.

Anything.. Lol
The point is that the os doesn't see them. Renaming the file achieves this without permanently deleting the files in case you want to revert later.
So, resurrecting a dead horse here...
When you're hearing the calls sound "garbled", the reason why is because the gain of the side-of-the-call-in-question is set too high
What I mean by this, for people who don't have experience with audio processing:
A file will have a given maximum-volume it can store for any given sound sample.
If it is told to write a volume higher than that maximum, it will write the maximum instead.
"Distortion" is a term for what this type of thing does to sound; specifically in this form, where the numbers are just cut down to size with no finesse, it is called "hard clippIng" and generally sounds pretty awful
The solution is to basically bring down the volume of the incoming sounds that are being recorded – i.e., in this case, the other person's end of the call needs to have its volume brought down coming into the recording app / system
The term for incoming volume is "gain"
So, the LG built-in call recorder needs the incoming gain, esp. that of the incoming calls, brought down to fix this
There is likely a number in some obscure preference file that controls this. I just have no idea where to look.
Anyone have any leads??
One of the updates to ACR this year included a gain control. By reducing the gain, I can now record calls with no distortion. Success!
