If I selected one of the existing cabs what would it change after i install it? I'm JUST looking to change the PANEL only. But if someone could just edit the default rose panel and put a subtle black hint to it...and put it in a cab...yeah, that'd be tits.
Are these the files?
/windows/Focus_Panel_Landscape.png
/windows/FocusPanel_Action_Landscape.png
Well I looked em up using Resco and viewed em on the phone. Sure don't look like what's on the home screen...I'm going to copy them to the desktop and take a look later.

Please see second post for some new icons and a fix for the selected item bezel problem that occurred with my original set of icons.
Thanks to all for your support and positive comments. I am really surprised at how popular this little thread has become. It seems a lot of people are interested in modding their today HomePlugin with new clock fonts, icons, etc. and there are some talented folks contributing some very nice graphics on this thread. Thanks for your efforts!
The new Kaiser Home Plugin is superior to the one we've been using til now, and it is available in color here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316107. The actual number digits are still white in the Kaiser version though, but the same "colorized" digits I posted below will work fine with it.
Hello all,
I really liked the HTC Home Plugin, but its stark white clock digits didn't go well (I thought) with Custel's Black theme that I have installed. So I made some files with different colored digits to replace the stock ones. I just replaced the ones in the Windows folder of my device with the ones in the archives below. Choose the color you prefer, extract the files and make sure that you don't have the plugin selected in your Today Items before you try to replace the stock files. You can either use Explore from ActiveStink or copy them onto your memory card and then transfer to your Windows folder. I also included the original digits in case you want to go back to basic white. Enjoy!
P.S. I'm waiting for permission from Schaps to post an additional archive with the improved Vista-like icons he uses in his ROM. The original icons provided by HTC are way too plain.
Here's an example of the EBlue
Note: I attached the transparent and "spotlight" versions for the button backgrounds. Use the Transparent Bezel to fix the left and right bezel problem as reported by Binyo later in this thread. The Spotlight with icons version is based on JUVS color icons for the Kaiser version. It gives a nice "stage light" appearance to the selected icon and a darkened shadowy icon for the unselected items. You can get the complete set of icons with the spotlight or just the spotlight by itself if you already have icons you prefer (I changed JUVS house icon for example, to one I liked better. You might have done the same.). These work with the original and Kaiser version of the plugin.
Thanks to Schaps for giving me permission to distribute his very nice icons!
HTCHIcons.zip - Here is a package of Schaps' Vista-look icons with some other files that give more transparency to the HTC Home Plugin. These are to be extracted and copied to your device's Windows folder to replace the stock ones. Screenshot is no longer attached, sorry.
TranspSpotlight Clor Icons.zip - These are the new "stagelight' version. See screenshot below.
Here's what it looks like on my today screen:
Looks good, thank you.
Very nice thanks for sharing.
Missing file
Good job! Thank you.
The only problem is when I tried to go back to the original color I find that the HH_HOME_seperator.png file is missing from the HTCHbkup folder.
Can you please post that file?
Thank you for doing that
Also, is there any way to make green digits? (like the metrix)
Thanks again.
Thank you Gmgonzal
Thank you for bringing a little colour to an otherwise drab today screen.
And ofcourse thanks to Schapp's for sharing his great work.
Man, that's what I love about this Forum.

Wow, that was embarrassing! The corrected bkup file is in the first post. I also put the original non-transparent background in it in case someone wants it. I made a matrix-style green one for you, as thanks for pointing it out.

These look really god, thank you, but problem is I cannot use them.
The files on my PPC are Read-Only and ROM flagged so I cannot overwrite them due to the ROM setting. Does anyone have any suggetions?
My PPC is flashed with WM6 with built in HTC.

Sorry, I am assuming you already have Schaps' ROM, it is already enhanced. I made these for folks who wanted to use the HTC Home plugin with Schaps' icons no matter what ROM they used. True your clock is white, but other than changing the files at the source and recreating the ROM I don't think it can be done.
For Schaps and anyone else who is a big fan of purple, here's a set that goes well with Schaps' today image background...

Try using something besides the regular file explorer - like Total Commander or Resco Explorer - and changing the read only flag. It actually works - usually. Give it a shot. Good luck.

Just go into your region settings and change it to the 24 hour format. It will change the plugin format as well.

If you mean the background, I picked it up at this forum. Unfortunately the copy I have is only 320x240 and cuts off when in landscape mode. If I find a 320x320 version I'll send it to you.
Found one!
For anyone who liked the background *this is really getting off topic here, moderators feel free to move this thread if possible* I found one at www.wallpaper9.com that I cropped to 320x320 and modified by tinting it darker blue. I like the darker blue, but I'm including the original color too. In case anyone doesn't know this little trick: copy it to your device, then use the Pictures and Videos app to find it. Tap and hold for the context menu and select to set as today... This way you can set the transparency to 0, otherwise it gets washed out. You could also set the transparency to anything else you like of course.

Good stuff. Tx.
Hi,
I have a O2 branded TouchFlo3D, so it is blue and white. The background image an all manila pages is fading from blue to white.
I have replaced all Luaq- and QTC-Files in my windows-directory with those from the original htc theme. That works fine, but i still got the old O2 background image. Which file do I have to replace???
Please help.
Sers,
maybe the luaq and qtc files are the animation behavor itself and the gles files are the picture informations?
Please report if it will work!
regards
You can try this !
Unzip this file and install CAB on your Diamond.
Enjoy official Manila theme !

Yeah, post a screeny so we can see...I'm using Dutty's Full, with an O2 manilla cab installed. I didn't get the .tsk or wallpaper in it, so not sure what you mean. On the pages after home, the screen is gradient, but with bars. If you don't mind, while helping can you tell me which file is the background images aside the home page?

Did you mean the wallpaper on Manila backgorund when you selected one from the setting page?
If that's the case you should see:
HKCU\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeBackgroundPath
Unless it's not what on your mind.
Hi!
I think, we talking about that picture, what's in the background on all of the other Manila pages. Black with gray rectangles.
Is that changeable manually like the home's one?
What file is it? Anyone can help me?
by Avers
PS: Sorry for my poor english!
Hi, sushilange,
could u plz upload the o2 manila files so I could compare the files with the stock ones?
I really think it should be the gles files which effect the background....
best regards
Yes I mean the background image, which is on all manila pages.
I figured out, just replacing all QTC-Files doesn't work, so i had to replace all manila-files. I think you also need a LuaQ-File for displaying the background?
I have found it.

It's not black, but darkgrey.
If you'd like it, change these files in the Windows directory.
Well, you can read "Editing manila!" theme, where i posted a .qtc format specification and viewer. Then you can find corresponding files, edit them and copy back to the device.
I know, it's kinda complex, but at least it is a way.
Does anyone know where to set the color / background of the white music library menu ?
I've managed to isolate most of the visual manila properties but cannot seem to locate the file that fills the background.
By now my hunch is that it's an inverted version of the default tab backgrounds.
I've searched for hours all over the place but i couldn't find an answer for this part of the background.
Can somebody help me out?
thanks
here you are

That's what I thought at first as well.
But somehow if I replace the file with a grey one it doesn't change the background
I have attached the grey filled manila file i copied to my device.
I used the mode9editor which does a great job with the normal background 4 all tabs without any hex editing.
do you have an idea what is going wrong?

sorry the bad english
looks good man, i made a .xml for this in my application data\home so i can switch between this one and my two others. keep up the good work.
great man, post it here, i wanna do the same thing
it's easy, just take one of the sliding panel media.xml's from Application Data\home and rename this in the blue that's at the top and the bottom of the .xml and rename the .xml itself. rename your .cpr and put back.
