even i don't like vista's logo, i have to say it's a great job! taskbar and bottom curtain are awesome. i like even the slider, because i dislike that big trasparent button.
the task bar is trasparent, isn't it?

Yes they do,. They also have a CAB for each of the backgrounds with instructions to give the Today desktop, portrait and Lanscape Backgrounds set properly

Sorry for asking but how did you exactly achieve the clear effect in your top and bottom bars? I searched but the best i found was only the clear slider. None had the same clear effect as your bars right at the top and all the way down at the bottom. Thanks!!

The clear effect is a simulation of transperancy, it's a case of using a part of an original background and overlaying it with a Transperant bar. If you or anyone else would like a more detailed step by step just let me know and I'll set it up.

So if you change the image the bars would remain the same design/colour and thus the transparent effect would be gone? Everytime the background is changed the bars have to be manually changed too?

Can't w8 to see the result. U'r a genius! The theme it self is gorgeous! Wonderful work. I know that you already have an idea of your next project, maybe the next one will be even more better. However i can't imagine what can be better than this. Anyway, ty for your hard work! And keep going on like that!

Your English is excelent and thank you for your words. Yes I do have other ideas for new themes but this one still has a way to go. Ill be posting some new pictures with some new features on the weekend.

Yes I'm sorry to say there are no true forms of transperancy for task bars not that I know of .The background itself those not cover the full screen so if you have a portrait skin of 480 x 800 then the actual background part is 480 x 696 leaving 52 pixcels for the top bar and another 52 for the bottom bar. If you want even more details than this PM me and I'll organize something on the weekend so you can make them up for yourself, assuming you are using wisbar

Thats great to hear! But i've got 1 question, I only recently bought my HTC Touch HD (which is my 1st WM) and was surfing the internet for some useful stuff. Thats when google brought me here I've read a couple of threads and the previous of yours also. So i would like to know if my device needs a ROM change, or whatever it is to get the theme work properly? Because i had problems with some applications, when i was installing them and then tried to open i almost all the time got this error: "You have got and old version of framework"...

I really apreciate your hard work! And i think to the most of HTC Touch HD users it will be a great present for Easter.

[THE] Black Kandi [WA3]

Here we have Black Kandi for WVGA Devices Portrait and Landscape supported. I have included both 'VOLUME' and 'LOUD' buttons in both states, use whichever you prefer.
Requires Wisbar Advanced 3.
When in portrait, you will probably need to disable the clock because if you have more than 4 icons showing the clock goes over the top of the start button. Works fine in landscape though. This is my first full WA3 theme so lots of feedback would be much appreciated.

Hey earni, I've noticed two things with this as I've been using it.
First is the "disconnect" tab isn't in your skinned buttons so this is what it looks like when disconnected...(first screen shot)
Second is the menu drop down, (a.k.a. task panel). There are purple lines around the black action buttons. I don't know how to post large screen shots so it may be hard to see...(second screen shot)
Otherwise I love it!!!

yes, basicly this is skin for wisbar advance 3 , so u need that program to have this, works with every win mobile

1 short question earni, why when nothing started, i got in uper left corner second tab instead of HOME like yours i got Start again and i miss your blue line there, whats the problem?

wisbar is skining app for your taskbars got kind a task management too, im using it since winmobile 2003

Hey Rozenthal, check this site out here > http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/products/pocketpc/WisBarAdvance/ < be sure to check out the forum as well, that's where you'll find the exceptional skins that have been created for WA3.
I've been using WA3 ever since I've owned a winmo device, I love the customization of the task bar and the softkeys! I think it is a far better method for managing running tasks than the htc method.
You can change the font to whatever you want, that was just me playing with the skin.

you will need wiabar advance 3 to use it, just open wisbar settings go to theme>install>then find where you put the theme.

the font is something pandemoniume added, the standard font is the one shown in my firs two screenshots, which goes perfectly with the TF3D imo.

ah, you have two options here, i have personally disabled the text altogether, there is an option to display window text in wisbar, alternatively if you would like the text to match the rest of the buttons, it is Tahoma Size 2.
To get rid of the gap of blue in the taskbar i have inccluded an alternate taskbar, just go to themes>taskbar>background>and change it to Taskbarp2.

You need to go to the Menu>Settings>Taskbar> then under the top drop down menu scroll down to "Window Title". Make sure the box isn't ticked that says "Make this item visible on the taskbar"
That should fix it for you!

I'll help a bit. But to be honest, you could use icons that are already found on the site and mash those up together. Someone had an idea for this a couple months back, but no one did anything/responded to his thread.

nope..dont want whats already there.cant use stale stuff for a fresh mod..
the dificult part is getting a idea into real life..and running that idea on ur phone..that part il be doing!
i want someone who can make the icons loook fab..lush.and out of the box..
memeber jealousy i think is on holiday..mayb him n other few gud image developers can make something cool..

Good idea!!! I would help with photoshop but I am crap...will do anything else though (colour scemes, pr, etc etc ) Thi could be worked in with the slider-start menu thing. Yeah I am amazed rota is even ever visiting xda because of his exmas, but sure as sure his mind is still ticking away, and will go full throttle afterwards!

at first i was like yes yes yes, but been looking at sense ui, the icons are much the same (sense is really touchflo gone android). I definately think we should stick to the original style of icons and maybe release one with original icons (cab for new icons?) but defs like the idea of newer icons although not entirely necessary. Things like an envelope for messages, @ for email, star for contacts, play sign for music, cloud for weather, two cogs for settings etc??? Maybe even windows sign for home...? But I think more people are gonna adopt and enjoy rota's work if the feel of touchflo is kept.

[MOD]SlideHome ~ Changing Backgrounds in the TF3D Home Tab ~V0.81,Tap to Slide!!!!

So..i have made great progress the last days to present you a beta version of Slidehome.
BIG THX to rotastrain for helping me out and giving me inspiration, without you i would have never made it that fast man!!
What is this?
To put it simple, it is a button which turns automatic wallpaper change on and off. nothing more, nothing less.
If you press the button, your wallpaper on the home screen will change every 5 minutes.
If you press the button again, the actual wallpaper stays.
Why Slidehome?
Because it is fully integrated in the TF3D environment. It uses the least ressources i can imagine for such a function and it does NOT slow down TF3D.
What you get in this package:
a new button in the Album Tab for turning it on and off
20 Wallpapers to get started
What you have to do for it to work:
- install the cab
- make a soft reboot
- choose one of the new wallpapers as Background (located in:My Device/Slidehome)
- press the button in the album tab and see the magic begin!
Things to know:
This thing has been tested on Smabergs Touch X (wm6.1)
You can change the 20 picture count to whatever you want now! if you make a custom list with x wallpapers, just change it to x! (HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/hs_quant)
Of course you can replace any of these wallpapers with your own ones, if you rename them.
You can change the 5 minutes duration for a wallpaper change in the registry (HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila/Sliderange)
So..as this is a beta, please tell me if you have got problems with it and if u like it or not!

as I have got a first working prototype of it right now, I kinda felt like i have to share this with you guys!
This is my first project so..be kind!
The title said it all, its all about changing backgrounds on the home tab. I wonder if anybode else has already done something like that before?! (i am sure i am not the first who came up with that idea *laughs*)
At the moment i have a few issues with the slider bar but we will see...!
So it would be cool if you guys tell me your thoughts about this project and contact me if you would like to beta test it or contribute in whatever kind of way! (i have never build a cab before or so but i think i can figure that out )

I make good progress and if i can resolve one issue regarding requiring a lua file i can put out a beta version this evening!!!

I would like to call a function from an embedded lua of another mode9 file in a lua from a different mode9.....so i would have to include this embedded lua in whatever kind of way...could anyone tell me how to pull that off?...simply including the mode9 name doesnt work..

It messed up my Rhodium homepage. The album shows an extra button but none of my photos show up like it did before. Seems like it doesn't support TF3D2 for me. Anyone else experieneces this?

I appologize for not reading the heading correctly. This app is intended for X1 only. I used it on my Sprint Touch pro running WM6.5 with TF3D2.
Great concept! I think you're the first to develope this for Manila interface. Any chance to support other platforms such Touch Pro or Diamond?

of course i could try to write it for another version i guess, but you can try the other program out there first!..just search the forums for diamond background changer.
my implementation is more like a mod and that one is more like an app i guess.

it doesn't work for me. i'm running touch X 10.1.
i have the button in the album tab, but the wallpaper doesn't change and there isn't the registry entry

not even the registry entry?!...that would mean the cab didnt install correctly from the beginning i guess?..
please try the new cab i will make..probably tomorrow...!

hey man, i have looked up the rom u are using and i guess for the new topaz 2.03 it would be quite some work to port it over.
If there is demand for it i will think about porting it to the new version!

across the bottom of the topaz, and i think a few other new htc's there is a horizontal region that is touch sensitive, its used to zoom in photo gallery and opera etc.
just had a play with both the versions of your fullscreen and i have to say that they're bloody amazing. I'm preferring the one without the retractable manila as it is a little buggy for me (understandably). there is enough room to have the slider there constantly.
the only things ive noticed so far, and you probably have noticed them yourself is that when you hit the 'end' key on the home tab the task bar appears, on other tabs the task bar appears briefly before the home tab refreshes over the top. (on further inspection the task bar stays there when you hit the end key whilst on the contacts screen, disappears when hitting end on others)
also there is an issue with swiping from the camera tab to the music tab, ie using the middle of the screen not the slider. didnt notice a problem going from weather back to music though.
im not trying to be critical as i understand its the first release. just some friendly observations on my first use.
i figure your next step is possibly aligning things, however that extra space created between the slider and the rest of the content would suit a notification area (battery, signal, missed calls etc)
just a thought

i would suggest this screen to be permanent.. is there any chance to do that... permanently so that only if i wish it would get changed..??????
the only thing i hate in winmo with tf3d is bottom and top bar..
when its necessary i would better think about option to get bottom bar..
And is that bug or what? wallpaper couldnt get changed.... and some abnormal stuffs in background white screen

Unfortunately it does not work for me. Experiencing white background and graphical glitches. I am on Duttys WM6.5 Leo R2 with Manila 2.5.19 (Leo)...
