Wondered if anyone else was seeing this; occasionally the email program will, usually when in landscape mode, have odd corruption in the lower one or two emails in the list view. The last couple of items are drawn as though the device thinks it's in portrait mode, or with graphics from another program drawn in. Anyone else?
One time i had it with textmessages... but switch one time from landscape to portrait and back and it was solved... since then i don't had it anymore. But maybe it comes back.

I haven't found any predictable way of getting my Samsung Focus into or out of landscape mode. I thought the simple act of rotating the device was supposed to do that, but it often gets stuck in landscape, and times when I want it to go into landscape I can't get it to change.
Is there some trick I'm not aware of?
I haven't had a problem with mine. Maybe try a quick shake? Sounds like your accelerometer may be bad.
No problems here as well. It doesn't happen instantly but it does consistently change.
i have this issue, its extremely consistent in the pictures hub / camera
Interesting to hear that it's working so well for others. Definitely not for me, going to have to take it back.
the hubs, start screen, app list, and zune are portrait only, and the camera is landscape only.
try it on text message conversations or something and if it gets stuck there, then yes it would be a hardware issue. but to confirm, i would suggest a hard reset (settings > about > reset your phone), and if it still persists, then take it back and exchange it for another.

Yes, I get stuck in landscape or portrait (can't switch in either direction when I want to) in both messaging and Outlook. Thanks for the tip about a hard rest. If I do that, will I lose everything I've put on it from the Marketplace?
if you loaded it directly on your phone, yes. if you installed it via zune, zune will reinstall the apps for you.
any apps you paid for, they can just be downloaded again and won't cost you anything as they're tied to your account and not to the phone. so don't threat if you end up switching phones down the track, you can redownload them without any additional cost.
I've noticed that when I typed, the GNex can keep up just fine until I get to the second line of the text box and then it slows down like crazy. Even as I type this it cannot keep up, at all. It is lagging on every word.

I can't say I have any problems in portrait, or when I hit the second line, howeve rI have noticed the keyboard is a little laggy when typing in landscape, especially when using both hands/fingers to type. I want to get settled with the device before I consider rooting and flashing a rom which may rectify this.
I can confirm same as well.
Especially it's noticeable in GMail. Typing in Landscape the keyboard becomes very laggy (though still doesn't miss key presses), but it might be unresponsive for whole words, then suddenly spit them out.
Strangely, I haven't noticed this problem on portrait mode..
There is an existing issue raised up about this at android forums, go star it - so it get's more attention: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=22432
I've noticed a little bit of lag on the landscape mode, but generally, portrait has been fine for me. I am a relatively fast typer, and only notice the portrait lag when I'm trying to quickly write out some text. It isn't too bad for me though, since the device still records the keystroke. The delay only comes in when the phone is writing out the text on screen.
OK, so i have been noticing lately that my photospheres have not been turning out that great. I usually see (if i go slow enough) that the little blue target dots move around slowly on their own. so i did an experiment. I placed my phone in my desktop dock sitting vertical at about 10 degrees from completely vertical.
opened up photosphere and the "horizon" blue dot was above where i needed it to be....but slowly the dot started moving down and eventually got to the target and took the first pic...then view kept going town until the transparent circle thing got to the bottom of the first pic...then it just want in a 180 degree circle at that height. there is no way this is normal, and i believe it is causing some issues with my photospheres coming out....not quite right.
so my question is:
is this normal? (i seriously doubt it is)
and how can i fix this?
i have noticed it on the last few ROMs i have tried (CM,AOKP,Mmuzzy ect)
so it is hardware not software IMO.
My gyro is wonky from time to time. Sometimes a good shake up or light tapping seems to get it in line. That said, I get the gyro wandering quite often as well.
Damn. So this is a known issue? It seems it is much worse in portrait mode but almost completely gone in landscape mode for me... Weird

Is anyone else having issues with what appears to be dead areas when scrolling, swipe texting or otherwise using your phone? In typing this message the phone just lost my finger on 4 occasions. When scrolling webpages it often just stops and clicks an area where my finger was. I'll get occasional double clicking on things when I do try to click. I have trouble purposely replicating my problems but in regular us it is driving me nuts. Because I can't constantly replicate I'm not sure trying to take the phone back will be successful. Anyone else having issues? Could there be something I'm missing somewhere?
Sounds kind of mean but I hope your issue is isolated. I saw the ifixit teardown and the ease with how the digitizer came off of the glass has me worried about the longevity of the digitizer.
Happening to me insanely often on my regular Pixel.
This happens to me occasionally. Sometimes, when typing it spams v and b. If I find anything I will fill you in.
Yes, I'm having this problem with my Pixel. It happens across all apps, even in Settings. Generally it happens if I start scrolling after not touching the screen for a little while.. for example when reading a news article. The scrolling freezes, and I can move my finger around on the screen and it doesn't react, but then it might pick up my finger again and the screen jumps around or clicks on something even though I've not lifted my finger from the screen. I tested it in safe mode and it happens there also. I even got my original device exchanged, and the same thing happened immediately on the new phone. I've been in touch with Google Help this morning and they've confirmed it's a software issue. They've asked me to submit a bug report. It'll help them if more people report the bug though and they have more data to fix it, so if you're experiencing the same issue, please report it! You can chat directly to Google support through settings on your Pixel.
Haven't had any issues but I know the google keyboard can be a bit glitchy at times. I used to have a nexus 6P and I would get weird issues with that keyboard as well on that phone. Getting them less on my Pixel though.
Having issues with typing on my 6P, it's so odd as sometimes I can not type when in desktop mode and sometimes not when in mobile. Switching the webpage screen mode and also doing a soft shut off on the phone and coming back both fix it temporarily. Thought at first using a different keyboard app might help but what app it runs does not solve the problem.
Same problem here. Google pixel
Happening to me as well. Did a factory image flash and it seems to have helped but still happens once in a while. I notice it the most when I'm using reddit sync. Seems to just happen too frequently.
Just an update on this... After doing a few steps suggested by google tech support like, test on safe mode, factory reset using bootloader method, etc... They just replaced my unit. I'm using a new one today and problem is not existent now. I would assume the problem would be hardware.
To be honest, I'm quite happy with their tech support...24/7 support and the staff are really competent. This in my opinion, is worth the high price of the pixel. Good job google!
I have the standard Pixel, and I too had issues with typing (occasionally wrong letters or spaces would register), and dead areas in the top corners of my screen when trying to open apps. I was going to return it one day after confirming that the dead areas at the top of the screen were persistent, but for some reason I decided to grab an App from the bottom of the screen and move it by sliding to the top area. Instantly this cured the dead area issue, even after I moved the app back to the bottom of the screen. It's as if it recalibrated the touch sensitivity vertically as it stopped erroneous spaces when typing too.
Pixel 2 one handed thumb scrolling issue
I have the pixel 2 and I have intermittent scrolling issues when I hold it one handed and try to scroll with my thumb. I realized it's because the base of my thumb is brushing the opposite side of the screen and preventing it from scrolling freely.

You should probably post about that in the Pixel 2 forums.
Hi everyone, I hope someone here can help me.
I'm experiencing a bug on my phone that's bothering in several situations.
Apps in landscape mode switch to portrait and come back to landscape (or not):

Voice notes in WhatsApp get interrupted:
http://imgur.com/gallery/yXIlFbI
(you'll see that the navigation bar briefly goes white)
I've factory-wiped my phone, gradually reinstalled the apps and double-checked that there are no weird or potentially dangerous apps.
The tricky part here is that I can't find a pattern, as it randomly happens (for instance, my keyboard went down when writing this actual post).
Has anyone else experienced this problem with their phone? Any idea on what I can do? It's really hurting my experience with Samsung.
Thanks!
You might try another Android version.
Clear system cache on the boot menu.
You can try a hard reboot as well.
Test the sensor(s) that controls that (it could be an intermittent failure, the worst kind to diagnose).
Does manually locking it to landscape mode stop it?
If it's a brand new phone, get it replaced as this is not a normally seen glitch.
Reloads generally don't cure settings or hardware issues and useless it's an old load or has a worm, trojan, etc are generally a waste of time.
As invariably the original issue just gets triggered again... eventually.
