I tried on wiki, and forum search, but couldn't find this hack. The thing is that when the phonecall is busy, I get a really annoying sound (BEEP) that cracks my ear membrane xD. Is there a way to avoid this, or is there a way to disable the sound?
Thanx in advance

Is there anyway to lock the volume on the ear speaker? I am tired of it going up and down during a call.
Also when playing videos is there a way to turn down the volume?
Got the T-mobile dash. Thanks

You can disable the JogBar...just go to your phone settings and you will find it.
This question has been answered numerous times, please take a time to search and read.

Hi guys,
Since a few days, for some reason my phone automatically turns on the speaker when I either make a phone call or am being called. I tried turning off the car mode auto-launch and I downloaded a free app called Car Mode which also didn't work.
I also searched some other forums, it seems that this is a common issue on the normal Desire. Some people state it's a hardware related problem, others say it's software related.
Does anyone know what's happening here?
Thanks
When your phone is on call, and you flip your phone over face down, the speaker would activate. Please use the search before posting for god sake.

I have tried during call a few times but it did not switch to speaker mode.....why ?
audio defaults to speaker
this has just started happening for me too... hence coming across your post...
feel like a **** sometimes when I pickup my phone and put it to my ear to start talking and the voice blasts out the speaker instead
Did you find a solution?? I'll post back here if I find a solution....
On another note.... thanks for the help LittleJerc...

solution...for me anyway
I feel like a little bit of a LitteJerc now myself... I just restarted my phone and phone calls dont automatically go through the loud speaker anymore... why didnt I try that before.... the classic 'have you turned it off and on again'.....
See if that works for you!!??
I want to change my desire ringtone to the Nokia Beep once which i had on my old N97.
I have downloaded it and sent it to my phone but i have a slight issue. The problem is the ringtone keeps repeating itself so it keeps beeping.
I have then used a sound editor to add a silence after the beep. This works as it only beeps once but the problem is if you put your ear next to the speaker, it is hissing as its still on.
Does anyone know how to get around these problems and set it perfectly?
Thanks
anyone got any ideas?
Don't keep your ear against the speaker untill you answer or reject the call.

That i can do, its the battery life im worried about if the speaker is staying on for around 30secs after the beep.
325i could you please post it for us! Thanks
It is a partial solution, but if you are familiar with audio editors you can make a longer ringtone and insert silence in it, so it won't beep repeatedly.
You should try Setting Profiles. That works great for my sound/ringtone settings

Brilliant idea. Made me think why did not I come up with such elegant solution.
Here we go, Nokia's Beep Once ringtone with 30s silence added at the end.

I realize it is an old thread. However, I found it searching for Beep Once solution for android phone. Thus, someone else can find it as well.
p.s. 'to prevent spam' i can't post links for another 8 posts :-(
Download zedge from the market. It has loads of Nokia ringtones on it.
Wow, what an old thread!.
I did create a custom beep once ringtone by adding a silence on it.

Ok so far I like it - and I love the watch
Maybe a have this wrong....
Mute the watch also mutes the phone
muting the phone does not mute the watch????
So you are in a meeting and you place your hand over the phone, or flip it on its back to mute but your watch keeps ringing! Is it working differently for other people? It just seems so dumb - when would you want to mute the phone in a situation as above but want the watch to keep making sound?

I am finding the speaker to be inconsistent across manufacturer phones. I have an LG G4 and it mostly plays nice. I haven't put the call feature through the full tests but I did notice that when I was on the phone-phone and a 2nd call came through, flipping over to the 2nd caller automatically caused my watch to activate and audio conversation came from the watch, even though I did everything on the phone.
I haven't checked the muted issues, but that could really be an issue I need to really test. I have constant conference calls where I mute. I also work from home most days. I would HATE HATE HATE to mute the phone and talking dirty to my passing GF. Fortunately I do not wear the watch much at home but good to know.
sound Alarm
Sorry can not help you in terms of your question, I'm looking to settle another matter! How can add and change alarm tones or notifications, because I have not found tones than only to call?

You have to do it manually, and you have to be rooted. Admittedly this info. is in the the wrong thread, but Motawa88 posted there, so I helped him out there.
Starting at post #353: http://forum.xda-developers.com/hua...skin1980s-huawei-watch-kernel-t3219576/page36
I suggest maybe starting a separate thread instead of posting ringtone/alarm tones in a kernel thread :good:
