Hey, searched around but found no answer to this!
I have flip it installed, and I set global to turn in each direction just to see if it works.. soft resetted, only calc and games flipped, and tried to uncheck g sensor on, soft again, check g sensor and then another soft.. but still.. only calc and a few other apps that flips witht he phone.. but when I open a Image, hold phone i landscape, and then press the home button, tf3d shows in landscape for a second before it turns back..
what am I doing wrong? I want tf3d to turn to landscape all the time! and for the one second it shows, it seems to be perfect so.. I don't get why it only flips and stay flipped for a second when I go to home from a open image, and nothing else.. (set override settings in manilla to flip all ways to, just to be sure.. cause manilla is tf3d, right? ) Anyone, please help? Running dutty's 3.4 atm
and a second question.. when dutty releases a new version of a rom, or if I want to flash another rom... I can flash from his rom? I don't have to flash back to 1.54 first?

Hey guys, Ok I know that S2u2 and S2P are intended for touch screens. However, I was able to get S2u2 to work perfectly with a few minor registry changes. I would like to use S2P (another one of A_C programs), but I have not been able to get it to work. I am using version .40 and have found no registry keys that can help. Does anyone have any ideas? It looks like a cool program to incorportate with S2u2. Thanks for the advise.

How did you get s2u2 to work exactly, can you share which version you used and the reg settings? If i can get that going, I'll try to help you with the s2p.
The version of S2u2 is v1.01. When I first installed it it seemed to work but the default setting is to shut the phone off after 30 seconds of being locked so I changed that setting
hkey current user\ Software\ A_C\ S2u2\ OffLCD=17
OffLCD should be 0
THe other settings are just cosmetic. I changed the clock setting to "h" instead of "HH" so it wouldnt show military time. And I changed the file path in hkey current user\ Software\ A_C\ S2u2\ wallpaper to point to .gif files for animated wallpaper.
Thanks a bunch for the help. I really like the look of s2u2 and I think that you will to.
I also got S2U2 to work. The only problem,,,, and this is a BIG problem for me, is that the S2U2 "screensaver" would not stay on infinitely for me. If i had the phone setting there for a while and "woke up" the screen i saw that the s2U2's program was not running in the foreground and showed me the default homescreen. It was still running, however, in the background since i saw it in task manager. If i clicked on it again in task manager, the program started right back up. I'm not sure if this is a conflict of another program ( like smarttoolkit, or the weather app, or photo contacts pro) or if it's because it wasn't made for smartphones. I would love to get a fully ported version for WM 6.1 standard though.
I am still running 6.0. This could be why I have had a different result with
S2u2.
why don't u guys post what others ppc apps that works on dash??
I tried the s2u2 v 1.05 and my phone doesn't like it, maybe i had the settings wrong. I installed and then tried to run ilock, and got error. I could run s2u2 and start the lock manually though. Once i locked it, if i pressed any key, the display would light up. If i was on battery power and pressed the center key to wake it up, then the display would not come on at all , but my keypad lights would and it would lock up my phone and get stuck like that until i removed the battery. I thought I disabled it, but then I got a phone call and the slide to answer screen came up(without the slide though) and then i couldn't unlock the phone and had to pull the battery again. I finally uninstalled. Is there some reg settings that are mandatory to get it to work or is it just that buggy on smartphones?
The only reg change thats manditor is the offlcd=0. I am using V1.01. I wonder if that could be part of the issue. It never did that for me but I am on the old 6.0.

yeah, I did the offlcd=0, because without it when I manually ran it, it turned power completely off, like you said earlier. I couldn't find the 1.01 version.

pm me...i have 1.01 if you want it
Ok, got 101, now no more glitches, so it was problems caused by 1.05. But s2p doesn't seem to have a chance without dpad controls available. On the s2u2, how come it doesn't autoset when display turns off? Is there a reg setting for this? And is it just me, or is the display supposed to light up whenever a key is pressed. I still have to unlock for the key to work, but I can't have the display turning on whenever I accidentally touch a key.
my rhodium phone screen always blanks.
This happens under WM 6.1 (original version) or WM 6.5 new cooked versions
I have tried 4 different ROMs.
I have tried to tweak using HD TWeak utilitites. I have tried to disable any power savings settings. I have disable the settings which allowed the phone to blank the screen, during a phone conversation: no help!
The blanking happens when the phone is close to my ear: when I detach from my ear sometimes the screen comes back to alive, but sometimes (50% of times) it remains blank.
To regain control I either have to open the keyboard and close or, when this is not enough, to soft reset
What can i do?
Thanks
Saulo866
I have experienced this problem under WWE Roms and under NON-WWE roms (for example 6.5 chinese ROM)
My device is now running this ROM:
EnergyROM "Genesis" (23016) ★ |Sep 17th| Manila 2.5 & 2.1
Thanks and waiting for suggestions
Saulo
I have even disabled Manila and unchecked all power saving features which I found under settings...I really start to believe that it is a hardware issue. Any opinion?
Thanks
I have this running the Sprint stock ROM. The TP2 has a proximity sensor near the HTC symbol on the upper left side of the screen. When I move the phone from my ear or while in call I sometimes lose my phone screen all together and it goes back to the TF3D home screen so I have to hit the send key to bring the phone app back up.
in registry HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd
set:
DeviceLockWhenSuspend
from 1 to 0
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=82944&highlight=sensor
I noticed this only after I started using the device lock since I added push email which requires me to. Some have stated that changing the timeout to 0 will correct this problem as well. My guess is that somewhere the device lock and proximity sensor are not playing well together and its a design flaw.
When I slide out the keyboard the screen flips to landscape. But as long as I'm in the today view and flip in the keyboard the screen wont go back to portrait.
Same with SMS (Pocket Outlook?). When I go to the start menu it flips back to portrait.
If I'm in the start menu while sliding the keyboard in and out it works perfect.
What could be wrong?
Are you running a custom or stock rom? If you are running a custom rom, at times, certain screens will be programmed to not rotate as the rest of the screens do for which the cook usually releases a .cab to resolve this. If you are running a stock rom, try the following: go to settings>system>G Sensor, calibrate your screen and see if this resolves your issue. Hope it helps.
It's a custom rom and I've actually made it myself. I'm a beginner so I'm not sure if it's something I should have done when I made it?
Calibrating the G-sensor didnt help.
No help, anyone?
I flashed a new ROM a week ago and now the screen doesnt rotate back to portrait when I'm reading SMS. I'm using my own ROM which is basically a 23549-build stripped from most HTC programs. I havent installed any program which does anything with screen rotation.
What can I do to solve this?
My phone was in my pocket, a reminder went off, I left it, thinking I would just let the phone go back to sleep and dismiss the reminder later.
When I got out my phone, the sliding lock screen was gone, and now when I lock the phone by holding the end call button, the Old WM unlock appears as a soft key in the bottom right corner. After pressing it you get the gray screen asking if you want to unlock.
How do I get the Sliding Unlock Screen back?!
been trying to get it back for hours now....
(phone has stock Tilt2 Rom)
no one sure what happened...
Ditto!
This happened to me today! Cannot seem to change it back to the slide lock. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Please help!
I installed HD mini lock. Not bad...

I ended up doing a Hard eset to get it back...cause no one responded...annoying but it works.
I then installed the trial version or PocketShield...and it happened again...but pocketshield is working great to keep away accidental pressing of stuff in my pocket.
I tried Pocketshield, but just kept getting error messages. I want the end call button to turn on a slide lock... and I'd prefer to not do a hard reset...

try anista endkey:
http://ip208-100-42-21.static.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=709124
or else smabergs action screen, which give a similar set of options to anistas end key only you access it by holding down the power button. Both of these should lock with your default lock application.
If you're looking for an alternative program to the default, try s2u. you can find a link in the continuoulsly updated apps worth installing on the tp2 thread.
Edit: OK, smabergs action screen doesn't have a lock option on it... but whatever it was based on did. There is a link to that application in the smabergs thread, i think.
I know the OP has hard reset his phone to fix the issue, but just in case anyone else is having this problem, the following reg key is probably to blame:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen\Enable
Default Value: 1 (for Sliding lock screen)
Changed Value: 0 (for soft key lock a la wm6.1)
I found this because I actually WANTED to disable the default WM6.5 lockscreen as I prefer the soft key unlock, partly because of the memory the sliding lock uses, and also because I want to be able to see the gorgeous sense 2.5 interface when I turn my phone on to see the time
There's also a "ShowLockScreenPicker" value on my phone that is set to 0, not entirely sure what that does though.
Bit late I know, sorry! :/

Tried this & I still haven't gotten my slide to unlock back, any other possible solutions? Besides a hard rest that is.
It is related to pocketshield, everytime I install an update I have to go into the system lock settings display tab and switch it from windows classic to default.
Hey guys:
I have ChangeScreen installed on my HTC Tilt2. Ive set the default on load to landscape as well as set up exceptions to manilla and most of my programs to landscape (as an assurance that the screen will load each app/prog chosen to landscape).
I have set the registry keys listed in this string to 50 sugested in this xda reference thread: xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=8548616#post8548616
My problem is this: I have to hold my phone upright , then lay it flat, then pick it up again in order for the rotation to take effect.
Next prob is: after the screen does go into landscape, then i go to , say messaging, all is good until i exit messaging and navigate back to the today screen. It loads back "portrait". I have to do the same steip over : pick phone up; lay it flat; then pick up again for it to go back to landscape, otherwise, it just sits and sits and sits in portrait.
Is there any other tool better than changescreen that truely 'defaults' the screen rotation to landscape where i dont have to manually keep moving the phone all the time just to get to landscape?
