Create one cab file of many different cab files

Hey guys.
I am not very into the topic cabs, but is it possible to create one cab that installs all the cabs of my favourite applications ? This would make the post-flashing process much much easier.

Cant be done man, sorry. You cant mass install like 5 cabs in one hit. All you can do is create a cab to extract 5 cabs to a location

You can get a program to install them consecutively after one another (like Sashimi), however as luckyluke1137, that's probably not possible. If it were, WIN CE CAB Manager would be your best bet for manipulating/playing with CABs.

What's the story with Sashimi? It looks like it's been pulled whenever it gets posted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392983) and I can't find a developer's website (Google failed me). Any ideas? I presume it's a paid app and the developer is prohibiting distribution...

okay thank you for your answers...unpacking the cabs to one folder is not nessecary because they are all in one folder on my sd card. Just thought if there was an easy opputunity to install all of them "one-click". but seems this is not possible.

Most rom are UC compliant and it's very easy to write a quick script to install all your favourite apps as part of the customising process just after the flash takes place.
I've a script to install a few apps and also to setup my email account. You can also do loads of other stuff to if you want to such as setting power settings etc.

thank you very much crankshaft. i will have a look at it. only have to find out if the roms i use (leos) are UC compatible. but this would be exaxtly what i was looking for !!!

No worries mate. Most roms are UC compliant, having said that though I've just seen that Dutty's forthcoming rom will not be but I'm sure he'll get round that eventually.

its possible with commercial software or trialware. but it's time consuming because you have to extract each cab merge the install setting files merge the registry settings file then rebuild the cab test the cab etc... i have done it one but with uc it's not important enimore.
i suse this method only to incorporate custom settings in cabs file.

@ tylwith okay sounds very hard to do. i think i will stay with UC then. Even if i will test dutty´s new rom because it looks great

Beginner cooker problems

Hi there!
I'm a beginner cooker and need some help with few things that I can't solve with myself
My ROM is based on WM6.5 build 61222 in Ervius Kitchen 8.0
1. Copying the files in File Explorer doesn't work... First I tap on specific file, then I select "copy", then I want to specific the path in the top left corner, f.g. from IS to maim memory and then it crashes...I don't know what to do
2. Opera9.exe and AlbumSearcher.exe are active all the time in Processes list in dotTask Manager. I have to kill them but after SR they appear again. Isn't it something wrong?
3. After every SR calendar and contacts are poping up... how can I solve it?
4. I want to set the softkeys (I'm not using Manila or Titanium) so I made registry key, but I don't know what is the .exe name for contacts? For sure it's not poutlook.exe because it gives no reaction. So what .exe should I put into the registry file?

2: there's a registry entry you need to add for opera to exit on closing; google for this one
3: check your init/and-or startup
4: it's actually a link in rai; poutlook -contacts

1. Total Commander is an alternative program but I want to fix the problem with builded-in File Explorer. I want my ROM to be free of bugs as much as it's possible.
2. It's not problem with closeing because opera9.exe is there at the beginning, after every SR even if I didn't run it.

TF3D config and .theme files question

This post has 2 questions.
Intro: I have a HTC HD flashed with Dutty's 3.7 XT ROM MSVC. I have used HD tweak as the tweak tool.(I am not sure this is relevant).
1) I downloaded Diamond tf3d config and installed it. I tried running it and get an error as soon as it starts. I tried the standard fixes including deleting the tweaks file as well as ensuring the "PressureThreshold" key is a DWORD. It makes no change, the program still gives an error. Could anyone suggest a fix.
2) I want to use tf3d config only for installation of .theme files. Is there an alternate app to do this? Also I know that i can just extract the .theme file as a zip file into the windows folder and restart touchflo for changes. However how do I remove the theme? I read somewhere that I can just delete the replaced files and the original files will be self re-generated. Is this true?

I Dont Believe That Diamond TF3D Config Functions Properly With New Manila Someone Feel Free To Correct Me If I Am Wrong

Well, now that you mention it I remember that tf3d config worked for the stock rom which has old manilla, and doesn't work with dutty's rom with new manilla which I am now using.
So if I cant use tf3d config does anyone know an alternate way of installing .theme files other than tf3d config.

Yeah, I finally found out that tf3dconfig does not work with the new manilla. to install the theme, change the file extension of the theme file to zip, extract and replace the contents in the windows folder. Am not too sure how to uninstall.
All this information was found after 4 days of searches in xda. the search function on the site does seem to be strange as I ended up with the relevant result on the last page.

i looked everywhere for the cab and couldnt find it. i finally found where someone had uploaded the source in a forum with permission from the author. could somebody use wince to make it a cab for me. i downloaded wince cab manager but when i got to import it says it is only for registered members and i really dont want to have to dish out the dough for a program im going to use once. it would be really appreciated. the files i need turned into a cab are freeware and its so you can press more then one key at a time on the apache, useful for playing emulators and stuff.

[Q] Sample mortscript for nopushinternet

Hi,
I am trying to learn mortscript. I was wondering if someone could send me the code for an accompanying mortscript to NoPushInternet.cab, as I think with a sample like this I could make some good progress. (I intend to use this with XDA_UC if that matters).
This cab comes up and I want to select the radio button for \Storage Card, then press Install. Is there an easy script for this? I haven't found anything that seems to help with this in the documentation but I have probably overlooked it.

OK, maybe a better question is this - for those of you who use the XDA_UC features in custom ROMS to update your preferences of cabs etc. after a new flash, how do you auto-update the nopushinternet cab file? Is there another way to do it that's easier and automatic? I know many don't just manually install all their cabs, I appreciate your advice.
