You did soft reset or hard reset?
Doing soft reset shouldn't cause that problem.
Anyway here is path to access program launcher in Touch FLO (reg)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLanucher

it was a softreset first , then i had to take the battery out

i found the solution
To create a short cut for program in your start menu or programs menu of device.
in your device - using file explorer, find "your program".exe - you should know where it is cos you created this folder remeber!
copy this file (shortcut)
now in your device using file exlorer navigate to the windows folder. open it. you will see a folder called start menu or if u like programs menu - simply paste the shortcut here, DO NOT PASTE THE FILE- IT MUST BE THE SHORTCUT!!!

Creating Start Menu SubFolder on Storage Card

Is it possible to have a Start Menu folder structure located on the Storage Card, with all the shortcuts to my programs (that are installed on the Storage Card), and then link that to the \Windows\Start Menu folder structure.
So that when I upgrade my ROM's or hard reset, I don't have to recreate all my shortcuts on the Start Menu.
At the moment I have a "\Storage Card\Start Menu" folder, with a bunch of shortcuts in it.
I've created a Shortcut called "My Start Menu" in "\Windows\Start Menu" pointing at my storage card folder.
So it kind of works, but when I click on that it exits the Start Menu and opens the folder. So none of the programs that I run are 'remembered' on the start menu.
Or is there another program that will do this for me.

Not sure if you can do that. However I too have installed most of my programs in the storage card. When I need to reload after a Hard reset or flashing I just copy the shortcuts of the programmes loaded in the storage card (from the storage card/program file folder) and past them on the todayscreen using spb plus today plugin. This works for most, but not all software.

Using programs after WM6 upgrade ?

I recently flashed my device to to from wm5 to wm6
I still have plenty of programs on my sd card which run but dont show up in the menus.
Do I have to reinstall them or is there a way for them to be recognised?
THanks, Dean
Copy and paste or create shortcuts and put them in the start menu manually.

Does having them in the start menu mean they will open or run upon start up?
Or will this just put them into the menus
Cheers, Dean
This is just my opinion, but if I were you I would reinstall all the apps you need, this way you can uninstall/install you´ll have all the shortcuts really handy and you don´t need to create them.....but like I said it´s only my point of view.
Once in a while is nice to download to your pc all the data on the sd card and format it(I mean the sd card),should be like a copy/cut and paste in a folder that you create on the pc......if you do it make sure you copy everything, compare the files in the sd card and the folder on the pc,double check they are the same to avoid data lose. But if this is too much trouble for you don´t do it.

Is that the "program files" under the main device or "programs" under windows
I put a bunch in start up after you suggested it - some work and some dont.
Windows>Start Menu>Programs
Some Programs you will have to reload but most should work with just creating a shortcut.

Easiest way is to install Total Commander (file explorer program, google it) which has a create shortcut option. Then save the shortcut under Windows/Start Menu/Programs

you can do it using the normal file explorer, just copy what u want to link to and then go to the directory mentioned and choose paste shortcut
i want tothe icon to appear in the programs when i click add to add a shortcut tab in windows so where do i need to copy the file to?
i got to the exe and copied it to to windows/ start menu and it appears there and allows me to add it as a shortcut but when i try to run it it s not enough memery on the device, yet when i run it on the device from ist normally location it runs no problem
any advice would be great
thanks
I think you need to paste a shortcut rather than the exe itself
instead of choosing paste choose the option below called paste shortcut
your right the shortcut worked a treat thanks

Adding programs installed on storage card to touchflo 3d programs?

Hi guys...
I have several programs installed onto my 8gb storage card..like Tomtom and Need 4 Speed...however they do NOT show up in the Programs menu or even in the all programs menu...
The only way i can launch the apps is by going to file explorer, navigating to them and then executing the files...
is there an easier way to creat a shortcut or something? So that they show up in the programs list in touch flo???

you need to create a shortcut to these apps and then place the shortcut in \windows\start menu\programs folder
Thanks man worked like a charm!!! Finally got Tomtom in my programs list

adding program file manually to start menu

Hi all,
I installed the navigon 1 month trial, I have it on my SD card and it runs from there (I browse to it using Total Commander). It wasn't installed using a .cab or something, just copied to the SD card.
I want to add it to the programs menu (start) but it is not on 'add program' list, most likely due to not being really installed.
Is there any way to add it manually?
thanks in advance
Go into File Explorer, find the executable, copy it, then paste a shortcut in the Windows\Start Menu folder.
this worked more or less like a charm, thanks a lot!
