Built of the latest (2.07) OEM ROM, with a choice of XIP/SYS versions. Everything else remains the same between the XIP/SYS versions.
I've updated my versioning methods to hopefully make it easier to follow... So now its Day/Month_Dailybuild (e.g. 1306_10 is June 13, build 10).
It may not be fully functional, since it uses the new Tachi manila, and new ports etc... Give it a shot, and see what happens

The only thing I changed between my tests and the release is the OpenVG drivers...
I'll remove them and give it another shot...

The old one (V3.0) didn't have Tachi manila.
I updated the first post with the new ROM.
Just flashed 6.5 and set it up as per my liking.
But still, downloading, will flash and report..

alright, been using it for sometime now, got to say its pretty responsive and fast RAM usage isn't bad either.
there are couple of things not working well-
1. Call History
-Manilla slider doesn't go away. Call history tabs (missed calls, received...etc) are not visible.
2. Dialer
-Talk button not working
-History, again has the same issue, cant see the tabs.
-Incall volume shifts back to maximum every time i try to change it.
3. Contact Manager
- New Contact: Save Button missing when adding data
4. People Tab
- No button agnst fav (call/msg..etc).
5. Album
- Something seems wrong with the rotation. Controls are in landscape all the time.
6. Internet Tab
- Opera starts, tries to load and then exists without warning.
- Youtube error: cannot be opened.
7. Audio tab
- Audio manager missing

Very odd... AudioManager_eng.exe is in the ROM, my guess is it may be a corrupt file or have some dependencies...

My guess is that's an issue with the Rhodium Comm Manager. I'll swap it out for a different build and see what happens.

That's from the Tachi, and I think it lets you select whether to use CDMA or GSM... I'll remove it since it serves no purpose.

This ROM is based on LVSW's rock-solid 05-19 3.30.2.1 release. Version edited or not, it really rocks!

how'd you get the exclusion bugfix in X-Button if I might ask?
I'm going to give this one a shot, with some recipe modification. This ROM looks like a good LVSW variant to start cooking from - what I want to do is remove the camera stuff. I would greatly appreciate some guidance on that (reading the kitchen thread convinced me I can do this... but help for the first time out).

First, thanks for noticing my greatest accomplishment with this ROM.
I suspect most of the cabs floating about contain mismatched files. Try the mui file from my build on yours and see if that fixes it.

That could be a bit tricky... I'd probably remove the shortcut from programs, remap the hardware buttons (if needed), and call it done.

Interesting. The registry hacks alone have been hit/miss for me on every ROM, while Olipro's patcher has never failed me. PITA that it is, I wish we could just reclaim the ExtROM as additional storage space.

I hear ya because until HTCustom came out none of the tweak programs actually worked correctly for me.
Using HTCustom it all works I can install program to ext rom and everything.

yep the mui solved it vp3G... I've created a cab and posted it on pg 1 of my thread.... It's still a bit quirky tho, if you actually use the exclusive tap feature, xbutton doesn't restore its icon properly on the today screen. You need to activate another application then return to the today screen to see it again. Somewhere I'm betting there's a newer dll to go with the resource file.
Yeah, I noticed that quirky behavior as well. Might still be a slightly mismatched set of files. I tracked down where it worked last (LVSW's 3.30.0.9) and pulled it as a unit from there. Seems like anything else out there has been through the XDA blender (set on frappé).

Every version I've encountered thus far has the same quirky issues, but they're not major, IMO. Sleuth's patch will restore the Exclusive menu if you're running ROM that lacks the appropriate resource file.
Nice rom vp3g! I'll certainly have to give it a try being a cingular guy...

Rom seems quite fast. No problems with the flashing processs or the loading process. Things i have noticed:
1. Have not changed the first spashscreen.
2. The scrollbars are very small and thin. Hard to use without the stylus.
3. The SDAutorun file does not exist.
4. ComManager tab is blank, see screenshot
5. Battery status top bar is now sitting under the original one. (Fixed after soft reset, also fixes after slide finger down screen(Refresh topbar).)
6. Call history has no close button.
7. in clocks/alarms, unable to close window.

Yes..i wrote that above. This is due to vijaytodayshrink. It will be fixed hopefully. This also works with keyboard slide out.

Anywhere you can't close window with the X, for now you'll have to use the Ok button. Sometimes you have to make another click on the X button and they will close. Also as a bonus bug, probably related, the BatteryStatus TaskList doesn't work. I'll try tomorrow different versions.

I have got around this by sliding the keyboard to bring the original topbar back and closing. then using the finger down today screen to bring the BS topbar back.

Issue 1. Voice mail is not configured on the phone as it usually is. It usually pulls that info from the sim and populates the vm field automatically. Workaround put your VM number in manually. =P

1. tap on signal in BStopbar...also refreshes the todayscreen...
2. callhistory = USE OK-Button ...known bug from 2G and 3G dialer..needds .dll modding
3. DON`T use scrollabrs - get used to TOUCHFLO!!! jsut slide thumb over screen for up/down
4. Commanger will be exchanged...and the old one is by defautl missing an tab

yes. but using "OK" button works. and please read!! i just worte 2 post above that it is a known bug in 2G/3G dialer.... so use OK and all is fine
Hello, very excited about trying this out... any mirrors? its 3am here and I wanted to flash before I went to bed but rapidshare froze at 97% and I cant download for 40 minutes... oh no!

Read the thread... Those problems you are pointing out have already been covered...
This is a beta version, the first beta, actually.
You cannot expect full functinality and stability without a glitch on ported ROM and a beta version.
Read the Install Notes of the first post and you will see those problems have been reported by the developer himself.

How do I add more city's too TF3D2?
1. Disable Touchflo
2. Find file 2330fc3c_manila in Windows and copy to desktop.
3. Right click and untick "Read Only"
4. Execute sqliteadmin.exe and go to Database\Open and set file type to "All"
5. Point it to the 2330fc3c_manila file you copied to your desktop (its always a good idea to save the original file somewhere as backup)
6. Once the file loads you will see a folder tree on the left. Expand Cities, then Fields and double click on cityname
7. On the right side, find a city that is near you (in the same time zone) that you want to replace with your custom city. ie, I want San Jacinto, CA. so I replaced San Jose CA because the spelling is similar. You will edit only the city name in 2 different fields, one for the name and one for the accuweather code. Make sure you are very accurate or it will not work, uppercase, lower case and spelling must be correct.
8. Once you've edited the file. Right click and set it back to "read only and copy it back to your mobile's Windows directory, reenable TF3D and you should be able to select and update your custom city.
Once you have added your city, you can go to the home tab, hit the clock and add your city in World Clock, this will enable your weather to display in your calendar tab under Today.

Alright, working all the day on it. But got some problems, (this is just to keep you updated guys.)
When I play a "captured video" in album, after it's done it come with an report there says this:

This is an HTC Excalibur ROM, based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The current build number and date can be seen in the title of this thread. This will also work on the TMobile Dash (which is what's it's primarily setup for) and any other Excalibur variations.
I always build my ROMs with three main goals.
Eye candy.
Speed!
Smoothness, consistency and good esthetics.
I preconfigure a lot of things in my ROM, because when I flash it on my phone, I want it ready to go, how I'd want it. So, the ringtone, sms/email and other notifications are already set, as well as a background and key shortcuts.
I usually make 2 versions of the ROM. If you don't see one in the download directory, it either means I haven't uploaded it OR I'm not making one for the current release yet.
Here are the different versions and what they mean.
"IE6" includes the new IE6 browser
"IE5" includes the older IE5 browser (less RAM being used).

looks like you're using ookbas 96dpi cab... if you are then uninstall it
MMS
1. There is no interface to configure MMSC setting (had to do it via registry)
2. there is no default app for jpg viewing
Apart from this, seems very stable and fast.

Did you take out the VPN ?
If yes: do you have the Connection Setup Tool cab ? Then the original HTC cab is too old..
the jpg association can be fixed this way:
open resco explorer, find any .jpg file, choose "action\open with", click "always use this program to open this file type" checkbox, and then choose menu/browse. from list select pimg.exe (this is picture viewer). choose select (left soft key) and done, now the jpg file is opened as usual.
Once again you cooked up a very nice rom. Thanks for the tip on how to fix the .jpg association issue. I just found it when trying different things out and someone already posted the fix for it.
Anyway it does seem that the connection setup does use older data then what I had before. It has not caused a problem yet but just thought I would mention it.

Just found out, the long pressing of home key opens "All notes", and there is no way to record a voice dial for my contacts...
I understand there are people with no use for voice dial, but is there a cab out there to fix this?

Another workaround for the .JPG issue is install XNVIEW app.. it´s free and it´s not a big fat pig (when you think about resources)... Grab it here.

Its called... Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 for smartphones. If and when you get it installed, In the voice command setup. for the voice button use App3.
stuck at 3%
what am I doing wrong? I try to load this program and it gets to 3% then tells me the file is corrupt and then the phone reboots. re-downloaded the file several times with same result
How is everyone doing with wifi in this release? In the other thread some folks mentioned that wifi wasn't working well. I haven't had a chance to install this version yet but wifi is a deal breaker for me if it does not work. Thanks.

It is working for me at work today..I don't know why it glitched out on me yesterday at home, but it completely froze my phone up and had to pull the battery. So far so good...
Microsoft Voice Command works well only for English Speakers, as it does not require voice tags for contacts.
As nearly all my contacts have foreign names, it seems i need a different app.
Tried installing Cyberon speed voice dial 1.2, but there seems to be no way to add voice tags to contacts, so it always says there are no recorded tags.
Had no problems with the WiFi on this ROM... my home WPA network works fine.

I have set my pictures to open with HTC Album, which works ok, but it seems to be causing some other issues with MMS messages. I try to attach a picture and it does not want to insert it correctly into the MMS message. It just shows the preview icon and not the picture itself.
Please flash OEM Stripped AT&T first before you flash this ROM.

You did flash a stock ROM first right? I had hard resets until I did that so it must be done.

1.) You just need to change the StartMenu_Global_320x240.cpr and StartMenu_Global_240x320.cpr files. Theres plenty of cabs for it in this forum somewhere. Should be easy to search for.
2.) eNatives ShowcaseSuite 1.1.0 is included and I have it defaulted to close apps on X. You can find it under tools..I haven't had any issues with it yet.

what I dislike:
1) commanager selection not refreshing (when scrolling remains blue)
2) hard buttons assignments
3) where is the voice command/recorder?
4) dialer background not following the theme
also I don't like showcase and the setting for vibrating on close. my battery already drain fast that simply there is no reason to add one more!

well, links for hard-buttons are in a specific folder and there is the buttons application to easily change them, so this is not major issue. usually I prefer to have these as the original hermes settings and allow people customizing them only if they like...
anyway, this is a great ROM, pretty close to an official quality.

Nice job! This is really close to be one of the best! But I do have a problem.
The hardware keyboard is not working as it should be. First the keys were all mixed up. I did get rid of it with "Advanced Config" (Keyboard from A&T/Cingular to English). But the Cap/Shift key is not working at all! It was fine before this! In Finland we use Ä Ö Å that I can usually find by typing A and push the blue circle and space bar.. It isn't working either!
This must be my twentieth ROM in Hermes. This is the first time I counter a problem like this. I could try to install a pack like this if I would find one in English.

Hi,
i cooked a file, that change the following into german language:
Keyboard layout
Suggested words dictionary
Spellcheck dictionary
Symbols List
I testet it with any english rom and it works perfect for me.
And NO: Windows will still be in english.
