I hate paragraphs that are sooo large that the words kinda blur out half way thru.
I remember the thing about the homescreen that has a blank space that wont let me change it that is like a pain in the rear 'cause you got to find out how to color in the blank space on the homescreen so you can do a hard reset set the omap to 300mhz to make the blank space dissapear and that way and only that way you can change the homescreen.

I am trying to figure out how to get my top bar to either be transparent, or black. Also when i go into NRG weather 3.0 options, the text is in cursif, as well as text in other places on the phone, totally unreadable. Anyone know how i can fix these two problems? Sorry if its been answered before, but i have searched, as well as just browsed 1000 posts for hours, cant seem to find a solution. Thx in advance for any help!

Yah I know, I still love this phone over the G1, only thing I wish this phone had was more Ram and of course 3G... that would seal the deal on the phone if it had that...
Fonts worked great! Thanks alot. However i cannot figure out how to delete the CHome_Iconbar_background file. Cannot delete it on the phone, or from the computer. I tried to turn off the iconbar and then delete, and that still didnt seem to work.

Which ROM you using? Guessin Ricky since then it would make sense you can't delete it since it's in the ROM.
If not then turn off the media Top Bar restart then try and delete.

Well i found ONE background that would make the bar transparent! So looks good now, not exactly what i wanted, but not bad. Now once i figure out how everyone gets the weather apps integrated with clock/date tab ill be all set

I was actually thinking last night b4 i went to bed that your Wallpaper was not the correct size as you had a green top and your selection on the second image was green, Glad you got it sorted.

I just got mine and first thing I wanted to change was the background image.
1) disabled TouchFlo3D in settings->home>elements
2) tried to set background image
my problem: The background image appears very bright almost white, so i cant really see it and because it is so white i almost cant read any words...
Any suggestions?

use the pic and video viewer and select the picture (you know hold your finger or stylus so it does the lil circle thing) then pick the set as today background option and it will let you set the transparency level it will only work with the standard WM screen (thats what i call the screen from the wing anyway) and not touch flo

I think what you do is set the background picture to something different than 'Weather background' (I'm on a Dutch version, so I'm unsure of the actual English button label)
But don't shoot me if I'm wrong

On the home page in Manila, tap menu/home wallpaper/animated wallpaper but then tap Albums and browse to the non-animated image you want to use and select.

What i want is to STOP the weather animation, not the background animation.
I usually use a photo as background wallpaper (a standart JPG with 800*480), but the animations are still active (sun shining, raining, etc).
How to stop that???

well, mine was set to 0 or 1, and i changed it to 2 which disabled the weather-animation for me.
If yours is set to 2 already,maybe try to change it to 0 or 1, then softreset and change it back to 2 and softreset.
If that doesn't work, then i have no idea, sorry.

Weather animation
I know its been a while since this thread was active but i came here looking for a answer and went away to come back with the easy solution. install the wonderfull max manilla layout which amongst other things lets you turn off the weather animation. Hope this saves others some time looking for the easy route.

I think it is easier to do a single change in the registry, than installing maxmanilla, then softreseting... why do all this if you just want to disable weather aanimation???
Fair point but a lot of people have never played around with the registry and dont feel comfortable with the idea

Home screen animation can be stopped ... bur how about Weather tab animation? Can it be stopped? ... I couldn`t find anything in registry.

Think would be great, my device goes crazy when the weather is sunny...
Exactly ... the problem is sunny weather and clear night sky's! It would be really nice if someone would suggest something.
And by the way ..... if it is possible, then not with a .cab file please. I want to know what causes the animation.

I just made the image for the hand taller so the pin is the center and with the bottom part transparent then chose "center" for the alignment and adjusted the offset as needed.
The attached hands are from a Facer face I made of a Deep Blue DayNight 65 T-100 and work perfectly. They did need a little scaling to fit the face correctly but that's easy to do in the app.

Each time I open an app it starts with very hard color taken from the icon of the app. Since the color is very hard, it is annoying. I disabled the animations, but stilll, the color is there. I have changed the icons of the apps to a less bright color, but this is not the right solution, I think. Any suggestions? Thanks, Natasa

to be fair it's only on for a split second, you could just use dark mode if it's to bright.

Still prefer to see whole screen with logs
Before one ui my favorite phone app was on samsung phones becouse the ability to strat from where you close it
Only samsung does it
You can push on the screen upwards and it will vanish.
