Sometimes I have this happen as well. For me, it's when someone is attempting to send an MMS to my phone. You can go into the Messaging application and sometimes you'll notice the incoming MMS message icon. It looks like a box with an envelope tilted diagonally.
Yeah this happens to me when in log into oz messenger its so annoying.
does anyone have an idea on how to "avoid" this annoying thing?
I mean, I've 'mis configured' the carrier messaging confs, just for testing purposes, and it still happen to...
Only time i've ever had my screen light up is when i've had my Light Config app running for backlight on 6.1, but only happened a few times and its been awhile.
I'm using WM 6.0
and got no light app running

Hey just update your dash to The free Kavana 6.1 rom, and then its in programs and Accessories, rom also has a built in processor overclocker, goes to 288 but do not attempt more then 264 Mhz unless you have a tiwan S620 or S621, ones in china shouldnt do more then 264Mhz 6.0 is stock 6.1 is very easy to install.
Mine does the same thing, WM6.1 Rose, but it is because there is software that runs in the background that ques the light. With my device it is IM+, Flexmail, and there is another that does the same, just can not remember, maybe an RSS reader or Activesync.....
Mine (Rose) does this when someone sends me a message that the phone loses and doesn't display somehow. This started happening when I installed Rose, and also goes hand in hand with the message-related memory leak, which is why I've come today to install something different. I can't afford to be losing messages, especially when lighting up signals that something has obviously happened, and then I never get to see it.

Well I'd love to fix this problem, so if it's a user error that's causing the messages to never deliver, please let me know what it is so I can fix it. The memory leak is real however, and causing me to reboot, or, when I don't in time, it freezes, crashes, and then loses messages that I had already gotten (which is understandable in a crash and not the same as the lost messages I'm talking about above).
The messages get lost completely randomly, from different people, and whether I've just rebooted or not. They get lost in the middle of texting where all other messages come through from the same sender as well as others and they get lost when they are the only message in hours. If this is a user error, PLEASE let me know what it is.. because I even went to the trouble of having different people re-send me the lost messages so I could compile them and compare them to see if it was something in the actual text of the message causing the loss. Found nothing.
The only thing that ties the lost messages together is that the screen lights up, like it normally does right before displaying a new message, but then does nothing afterwards and the message never makes it. What's going on? What's the user error?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know the difference in semantics, so feel free to let me know. What I know is, the messages get sent from the senders, my phone lights up as if it was receiving them, but they never actually appear in my inbox. I don't know if this is called delivering or receiving... but whatever the issue is called, it's a problem.
AND I do not know if it has anything to do with the rom, but this problem was never apparent before I switched.. so I don't know what to think.

No one else has ever mentioned this in over 3000+ downloads so please understand why i don't understand, hard-reset, reflash would have been my answer if you had approached the thread with your issue, i have also responded in the thread to you.
Lol it's not an issue or something that needs to be resolved, it's simply your phone communicating with your providers network. This communication causes the phone to come out of standby and in doing so lights up.
I admit it's annoying and I often sit waiting for a text to come in or something but it's a normal and important function of the device.

i reflased my rom like 20 times in the past 2 weeks(just exagerating) but i never had any problems the only problem i had was nrgs weather thing wasn't working right thats why i flashed.
Mine does it too, but the pros with the ROM seriously outweighs the cons. I can deal with a few bugs as long as it dosent interfere with phones main funtions.
I also have noticed when the phone goes idle, sometimes the screen turns white and the backlight never shuts off. This is usually fixed with a reboot. Does anybody else have this happen on their phones?
its just your phone giving you some love and letting you know that its thinking about you. they are very personable.
Hi,
This is really annoying me, I have an Asus P525 flashed with Sorg's latest ROM, all working well.
Seems to have horrendous battery life, is this because I am running Winterface all the time, I thought they had got rid of the battery drain problems that earlier releases had.
Also, I can never see my balance after I send an SMS, because this really annoying 'Session Terminated' notification appears, is there a reg edit I can do to get rid of it?
Any help is appreciated,
thanks
tb.
I have had to send my Leo back for repair due to white patches developing on the screen. As I had given my last device (an iPhone) to the missus, I have gone back to using my O2 Orbit until my HD2 is returned but I have just remembered why I stopped using it.
I have this really annoying issue where, after a random amount of time (could be hours, could be days), it simply won't accept incoming calls or texts, despite it seeming to have a full network signal. Outgoing calls work as normal but if you call the phone, it goes straight to voicemail and if you send a text message, it won't be received. However, as soon as I perform a soft reset the phone goes back to normal and any texts which were sent while it wasn't working get arrive. Then it eventually happens again. It doesn't seem to be a rom issue as I have had this problem with at least 5 cooked roms and the original O2 one.
Anyone have the same issue or is it, as I suspect, simply a case of the phone being shagged? I would love to get this resolved as at the moment I'm having to call it once an hour to make sure it rings which is a bit annoying.
im having the same issue but a small difference, i get this prob so frequently around 5~8 times a day...........
im jus suspicious on the battery.......
could u jus look at ur battery voltage when 100% charged and reply plz????
ive jus asked this same issue here
