Schap's 3.54b BETA ROMs (back to the official ROMs!)

I'm looking for beta testers for my next ROMs, finally I prefered to use the official ROM base (so I went back to the 3.54 ROM base) as there were unexpected freeze on boot for some users with the 3.57a ROMs (which is due to some incompatibilities. I would like to know first if there is still this problem with the official release base, if yes so it means that the culprit is one of the new HTC apps (I would suspect HTC Home plug-in...).
Those ROMs are close to the final releases, they use some new OEM apps but I didn't include yet my new tools versions.
I wait for your for your feedback!

first problem I had with 3.54b is that the operator setting for "ITALY/TIM" doesn't work, it shows a pop-up with "ERROR".

- No problems with flashing and booting the ROM
- It miss GMT+1 Amsterdam (it does exists in the HTC NLD version), but i can use the paris,Madrid timezone.
The room speed is great, and i dont see any problems with the HTC Home plugin...

Yes, and I would like a beta-ROM for testing in isi-zulu and suaheli-language. Maybe a klingon-version too.

It's the 6-tab version, but if you used my older ROM you should know that I disabled by default the sound profile tab because it can cause issues for some people. You still can enable it.

1/ la config operateur sur Orange ne fonctionne pas, y'a un "error" après la validation.
2/HTC home n'a que 5 boutons et pas 6 comme indiqué
3/ peut on ravoir le official bootscreen HTC ? car la sur la version FR on a le bootscreen Schap's Violet et si on change de skin ce n'est pas terrible

Pour les bootscreens c'est ironique ou t'as inclus un moyen d'avoir le choix entre le tiens ou le officiel HTC ?
edit : ou alors peut on avoir un ton bootscreen sous différentes couleurs comme le comm manager ?
De plus après analyse de ta ROM, j'ai vu que tu utilisais Windows Mobile 6 5.2.1437 - Build 17944.0.3.1 et il me semble que c'est la même version que sur la ROM 3.57, non? quelles sont les nuances dans ce cas ?

[Solved] Reg key to display clock in 24h format on the top bar ??

Is anyone knows what is the reg key to change the format of the clock in the top bar ?
I was on 24h format but unfortunately I install a small program (I don't remember the name) and uninstall it but that switch the clock format to 12h !!
How can I fix that please ??

htcustom will allow you to change that too. but if you go to settings and regional info you will be able to change that to 24 hours without the htcustom tweaking tool.

I had a similar problem but every time I set the display to HH:mm:ss,
the system will reset it back to hh:mm:ss.
hence, i always get 1:09 instead of 01:09.

Yesterday, I tried to pass my rom faman 3.5 to another on the forum.
I didn't manage to establish the connection then I threw since the telephone the software trin unlock. The three-colored screen appeared.
I threw the rom update utility of the new rom and there that works.
Once to 100%, message of success and there, the remained telephone blocked on the logo htc to the starting, no button answers, inefficient hard-reset, obligated to take-off the battery.
I don't have a telephone anymore, help me!

I can access to boot loader by pressing power and camera touch.
Vista take a bip when i connect usb but i can't make another rom, error 260 or for anyone rom, just 1% of install and nothing.

Suite au problème de consommation de mémoire vive excessive j'ai décidé d'inclure dans la ROM un libérateur de mémoire, j'ai choisi Oxios pour sa simplicité et son efficacité.

as i promised ....a feedback....
after first and second free ram was at about 4-5mb...which is crap...the third time the situation got better....and there were about 20 mbs free..which is quite good having in mind that manila runs in the backgound
i would have further tested your rom but the thing that prevented me are the hardware buttons....which aren't supported...there is only one button which is not acceptable to me...i use them all the time and it would be a real pain in the ass not to have them....
so when you get the buttons working post the rom and i'll soon be testing every corner of it

First report after few day of testing.
Run fine on SPV M650's friend, run fast and snappy TouchFLO 2D, but the free RAM turn around 20mb.
=> I got error (Not Enough Memory) with the last version of iGO 8 (build vers.8.3.2.93112). And he's don't see the internal GPS (the led blinking).
=> I can't install EZinput keyboard 1.5 and 2.0 => I've got error a the first run, the virtual keyboard don't works and don't appear on screen.
Anyway this is the best French ROM at this time, thanks for your work.
PS: I forget it use Radio ROM vers. 3.07.90

this rom is indeed extremely zippy, especially considering its m2d!
unfortunately the customization process isnt executed fully, aborts trying to install "braisseur exlime ligne" (or something like that) cab!
would be nice if we could get a list of the process, ideally all the cabs...

Tu fais un sim unlock
Tu peux aussi faire un upgrade de la rom radio
Et tu enfin tu fais un upgrade via cette rom.

-Upgrade the SPL rom (HARD-SPL : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=311403)

-You can upgrade the radio rom, if you want : http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_RadioUpgrades (for France : 3.18, 3.21 or 3.34)
-You are ready to upgrade with this rom

upgrade GER to ENG on HP IPAQ Data Messenger

I live in Germany. On ebay.de, HP IPAQ Data Messenger is cheaper than other WM Phone. You can get nearly new one for about 150 EUR. So I take one and finally find, because of the dificulty of ROM upgrading, people sell it so cheap......
Most people get a error message that the ROM from HP is not competible with the Phone, and stop to upgrade. Due to the mobile provider, there is a SKU-ID check. If the SKU-ID is not the same, the phone won't be able to upgrade.
My IPAQ Data Messenger is from Vodafone.de. Of course within it's a GER-ROM with Vodafone SKU-ID. I can't directly upgrade it with the ROM from HP. I personly want a Eng rom. So here is what I've done.
Warming! This may hurt your warranty or brick your phone! Don't do it if you can't suffer the damage!
1. Connect IPAQ and make a sync-relationship with computer.
2. Disconnect IPAQ. Of course, take out SIM card and SD card from IPAQ and leave it boot up.
3. Download the ENG-ROM from HP and install it. Only install the program, don't run it.
4. Download the Vodafone-GER-ROM (not original GER-ROM!!) from HP and install it, don't run it.
5. In C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard, there are two categories. One is HP iPAQ Data Messenger by Vodafone(German), the other is HP iPAQ Data Messenger(English).
6. Delete CTO_VOD_GER_1.000.021.nbf in category HP iPAQ Data Messenger by Vodafone(German). It's 58.5MB. It's a upgrade file that we don't need it now.
7. Rename OS-1.00.05.00-751-WWE.nbf in category HP iPAQ Data Messenger(English) as OS-1.00.13-2176-GER.nbf.
8. Copy the fake OS-1.00.13-2176-GER.nbf.
The tricky theory is: run the Vodafone(German) hpRUU, let it check the phone SKU-ID, than the phone will reboot and wait the hpRUU to send the ROM file. When the phone reboot, paste the fake OS-1.00.13-2176-GER.nbf into the category HP iPAQ Data Messenger by Vodafone(German). Than hpRUU will send it to the phone.
Ok, let's go on......
9. Connect the phone to the computer and run hpRUU in category HP iPAQ Data Messenger by Vodafone(German). After the SKU-ID checking, hpRUU will be ready to send ROM.
10. Click Next, the phone will go dark and reboot, at the same time paste the fake OS-1.00.13-2176-GER.nbf into the category HP iPAQ Data Messenger by Vodafone(German). We only have about no more than 5 seconds. Do it quickly!
11. If everything is fine, after 15 mins, you have a Eng-ROM in IPAQ!
So.......although I can upgrade GER IPAQ Data Messenger to ENG, I can't understand why HP put such a fat ROM in it.........we have only about 55MB in programes, but it indeed has 256MB.........
Could any nice chef **** a clean ROM for IPAQ?

OK, I found something new......
First,
My IPAQ Data Messenger is from Vodafone (branding). Before I upgrade from GER to original Eng ROM, I can use any SIM card. After I upgrade it with the original Eng ROM from HP, I got blocked. My IPAQ can not connect to the mobile net if I use a non-Vodafone SIM card. If you got blocked like mine, just fallow the trick, replace the 2 files in the catagory and flash. The lock will be gone.
So, if yours like mine is branded from Vodafone, you should go to this webpage from HP especially for Vodafone.
The file for Vodafone is newer than the original ROM, and the free space in memory is also a little bigger than the original one.
I don't have a non-branding IPAQ Data Messenger. So I don't know what will happen if we upgrade a non-branding IPAQ Data Messenger with the Vodafone-ROM.
Second,
After upgrade IPAQ, it will do a clean boot, and install some programs in it. If you don't click accept, IPAQ will keep in that way, and we can't go further. If you don't want those programs, at the first boot, just keep IPAQ untouched, and make a sync relationship with computer. Use conputer's explorer goto the "startup" catagory in IPAQ's windows catagory, delete all files except poutlook. And then, take out the battery and sync-cable. Reboot. And the installation will bother us no more.

merci pour les infos qui m'ont bien aidé pour flasher un ipaq data messenger by vodafone hollandais (nééderland) en version anglaise. ça fonctionne mais il faut changer les versions en moins de 5 secondes. Pour réaliser cet exploit en si peu de temps il faut:
1- copier le faux fichier dans le dossier et le nomer pareil avec juste un caractère qui change (par exemple OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD1.nbf)
2-au moment de l'extinction du pda, suprimer le fichier original OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD.nbf puis renomer OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD1.nbf en OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD.nbf.

Is there any way to flash a FB149AA#ABE ROM on a Telefonica Movistar (FB189AA#ABE) iPAQ data messenger, I can't use this because I can't get any Movistar upgrade to change the files.

1- copier le faux fichier dans le dossier et le nomer pareil avec juste un caractère qui change (par exemple OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD1.nbf)
2-au moment de l'extinction du pda, suprimer le fichier original OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD.nbf puis renomer OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD1.nbf en OS-1.00.13-2177-NLD.nbf.

Pourquoi Moi Mon Data messenger Il Redémarre pas...Même Pas 5 seconde...Moi il me met 2 secondes...Parfois Moins ( Qui peut m'aider??
