hi
is there is any application like "face melter" for hd. it is a very good applctn available for iphone
2255
If someone could make an app like this for winmo I would crap myself... I have an Omnia and I dont think the touchscreen is capable of this. A picture morphing app would be cool though.
Heres a little demo video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-F2qSgUupQ
it uses multitouch so as far as i know its not possible to make it like that maybe some kind of varient of this but don't think it could work like that

Unfortunately this wouldn't be possible for the HD due to its inability to have multi-touch at present

What do you mean by "at present". Is there some kind of hope for multitouch?

he means the screen like in the omnia..not the panels.
i dont no of a program that does this!!
press x-panels button and make some slidings - panels animation is slow as hell!! and you want smooth screen animation ? )
no, i'm not talking about the panels at all...(eventhoug it really IS slow as hell;-) )!
rotastrain (#3) got it right..when you rotate for instance the omnia screen to landscape, you have a nice animated rotation...this is what i'm looking for:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk1ZF3bcPMo
seeing that, it's probably an application. Do count on slow performance on the X1 (4x more pixels to render), but I guess it's possible to install.
There are threads on other parts of XDA, filled with Omnia applications.
I suggest you find those, see if this is there.

i know

no idea..but at least worth trying..
What I am understanding what you want is a mod or app that Rotates the screen like the Omnia when the accelerometer changes it to landscape from portrait, what you want is something that creates a smooth animation when the X1 keyboard slides open to change to landscape from portrait ?
well I thought it would have been intergrated in the Windows Mobile 6.1 as a custom rom from samsung firmware,
but I guess if its a cab. then it should be possible to add in or it might be possible to intergrate from the Omnia. (Im using Win Mobile 6.5 and It would be nice to have that too ) but since the Omnia has about 620mhz processor compared to 516mhz or 520mhz (what ever the Xperia has) it most likely would experience lag when changing.

we said that about touchflo, winmo 6.5 and manila 2.5 (which is probably made for snapdragon porcessors clocking at over 1ghz, possibly dual core with graphics accel etc etc etc)...its never impossible
This would have been amazing while I used WinMo on my Vogue. I would flash back from Android to try this if it ever came to the Vogue.

Probably not
BTW what would be even nicer is if we could get this to work on Android
Yes, the linked article specifically references resistive touch screens, so it sounds like it could be possible to the right developers.

Its definitely possible since this was specifically developed for resistive screens not capacitive. There is even an SDK. I'd love to see this on Android with the Vogue.

Tested it out just now and it does seem to work... Kinda...
But it is something that we can look forward to in the future for these old phones.

Cool. I use Android so I cannot try it yet but once its better I'll flash back to WinMo. This phone just keeps getting better
We could try to enable "pinch to zoom" on Opera like with the HD2.

Hmm... it would be nice if someone could make a rom that included multitouch

Cooking this in is not the issue... Long story short... nothing works with it yet
Actually, the only reason I want to use this is because in PocketGBA (or PocketSNES or any other emulator) I can't press more than one button at a time. So when I try to use the directional pad, I have to pick up my finger to press buttons.
Would this multi-touch mod fix this?

Not if it isn't supported by the application.
hello
i have a wird bug on my touch screen and i want to know if it is a general desire bug or a probleme with my device that i have to send back for repair ?
on magikmarker app when i press two points very quicly, my desire draw a line.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMyN822idH4
i thought maybe the app works like that.
so then i tried with swype and slideit
and there is exactly the same problem :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaPxeUqnCBc
anybody have the same problem ?
Thank you
This is a bug with all desires. They don't support true multi touch so glitches like that happen. Look for videos about desire multi touch on the YouTube.
Just tried it on mine and i don't get any lines.
not much more i can say on that really
If you get apps like visible multi touch test and use two points this will happen when you cross the axis too. The touchscreen can only support one touch. It uses an algorithm to work out where the 2nd point resides. HTC fixed this problem with new digitalisers in the stood incredible.

Ok I believe you but how come I can play games like NOVA fine using both my fingers at the same time if multitouch isn't supported? There must be some kind of multitouch or it wouldn't be possible.

He just told you how it works... You quoted his post with the answer...
Multi touch works but it's a very poor basic way of using it.
Desire doesn't got true multi-touch, it got half assed dual touch, and I couldn't play NOVA correctly because it wouldn't shoot when I wanted to if I had had my thumb on the joystick . Its because of the panel it uses and not because of software, so this is a hardware "problem"(Technically not a problem because HTC never advertised multi-touch, only pinch to zoom). Desire HD/Droid Incredible/Evo 4G uses newer and better touch panel with proper multi-touch.

How about you guys? Can anybody program an app?
Or is a Gyroscope needed? (just iP4 and iPT4 supported by original iOS app)

You can clearly see Android running behind it, so my guess would be some sort of Remote Desktop (RD, VNC, etc..)
It is higly likely a VNC session. Some time ago there was a video showing M$ Word running on NST in the same fashion.
Greetings.
i think it is as you said
It doesn't seem to work very well... But still, I'm doing this.

There are so many USEFUL things that people can be working on, that I can't fathom WHY anyone would waste time to pollute an excellent piece of hardware with balmer's ****.
