[Theme] Gambit Hv1.5r3A2SD - G1 Themes and Wallpapers

Here it is. Sat on it for about a week while I was working on my Megaman theme that i got inspiration from whilst playing Megaman 2 on my Dash @ work during a deathly slow day lol
Thanks goes once again to Jrbourque and his amazing VK skills. =) He built a custom one for this theme.

keyboard
so what happened to the purple keyboard? i was really looking forward to that the most... can you change it back?

Serious? Think I may have made a mistake lol. Is it just the pink keypad? I'll get on that right away. my bad lol. Thanks for the heads up. I don't know how that happened. Must have accidentally grabbed an old version =L. Hopefully I'll be able to rectify the situation swiftly.
UPDATE
Whew! You scared me for a second. Anyone flashing this theme please note -
JrBourque's magenta keypad IS on this build. You just need to change the VK settings. Since it's Haykuro's 1.5 it offers 2 different VKs, one is the Android VK (JrBourque's magenta/black one in this case) and the chinease keypad (which is enabled by default, and offers predictive t9 input when in portrait mode).
To enable the custom VK simply navigate to Settings > Locale & Text. De-select "TouchInput Chinese" and select "Android keyboard" =)
Sorry for not having clarified that. You already have it. Just gotta change the settings =)

nevermind---didnt find my answer ...
so because this says its for the a2sd does that mean it wont work for ADP1.5Hr3 without a2sd

Naw it'll actually change your build to A2SD. Since no one's developed a theme template for Hv1.5 the themes created using his firmware are actual ROMs in their entirety. But no worries. You don't have to use the A2SD functionality if you don't want to. I honestly don't myself =). Not an app fiend enough to find the need. Everything works jus fine. I'm guessing the benefit of flashing a non A2SD build is extra ROM but I still don't have a prollem w/ freespace on mine so It seems to be all good =)

Whats your favorite dialer?

I think I finally have a ROM and all the apps I need to have my phone just the way I want it but the last part Im having trouble with is the dialer. I have tried a few 2g and 3g dialers but none of them I have been very happy with. So do you guys have any favorites?
Currently I am using this one from elias: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=326243

Wow, Im sorry, I didnt realize he was YOUR CHEF!!! LOL
It does work but it doesnt fit perfect. When I install it I either get all the buttons lined up properly but I get a white square in the upper right (all the time) or I dont get the square and the buttons dont line up right (only the post call buttons not the dialing buttons).
The moral of the story, yes it does work but not perfectly, hence why Im looking for other options.

Thanks for pointing that out! hmm I will not be running that then, as I am not flashing any more ... for a while.
The dialer by poorlyduck is my favorite. Been using it for weeks now. Actually it is a skin for a stock dialer. Works well and looks good. He also has a black version too.
I like [email protected]$ New Diamond Dialers (Updated: 8-22-2008):

I like the look of that one but after installing it I lost my 1% increments on my battery indicator. Any idea how to get the colored 1% one working again?
I Like standard 3G dialer like Kaiser had, i use Schen creation, it was here
Working like a charm on my Dopod 838 Pro, tried on CRC's ROM.
I heard of that problem, here's the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405727&highlight=poorlyduck
I think someone had a solution. I personally don't keep the battery up there, I keep the clock and use the power icon in the tray. Just a note, if you uninstall the dialer, the % increment returns too.
If you install the Pandora 3G dialer you will not lost anything. I like this one because you can navigate thru the contact's different nos. from this dialer.

[Comp Theme] - Impossible [Stericson/Moonspoon]

First of all, thanks to Moonspoon for many of these graphics and ideas he has given me.
Thanks to Jwdme, John, for the idea behind the dialpad, ultimately it is his work but with a slight modification.
Secondly, I"ve been super busy and didn't get to put the time into this that I wanted to but I can say I'm very happy with it...there's more to do but the deadline was over and it was acceptable enough to enter.
This theme includes custom support for Lock 2.0, which means that my update file will load and install a custom lockscreen made for this theme. Note that Lock 2.0 must be installed and ran at least once before installing this update.
This theme is for ADP1.1
There have been many xml edits, text colors, transparent notification menu, colors for menus, etc.
Buttons have been redone and look great in my opinion, the notification menu is now fully transparent.
Pictures below....sorry for short post....just bought a new RX8 and can't say I'm spending too much time away from it...lol
Enjoy....

Looks really damn good. May even have to switch to adp tomorrow just to check it out.

Love the theme, but im sure theres a reason for being on adp1.1. As soon as there is a legit work around the whole market issue I will be rocking this theme. Just sucks it has to be so "bitter sweet"
i installed it and i cant get the custom lock screen to work
i have a suggestion the time can be in bold red ? and the battery can be in different color of reds when it id dying down - just a suggestion
everything is great thx alot - 1 for the adp phone

I have had a few with this issue, make sure you have lockscreen 2.0 installed and ran at least once, meaning, let it download the default theme and then install the theme.

couldn't get the custom lock to work for me either- and i had it running before- doesn't matter- i think i prefer the pattern lock.....if only we could customise that with a picture etc....
I do have one issue- i can't reflash back to my old theme (Kspec) from this one. It goes into a loop with the android robot.... then i have to pull the battery, try again and still doesn't work. I can flash back to this one though ok.... is this a conspiracy?
Now my droidsans autorotate has stopped working- only thing i have done is reflash this theme so somehow this has stuffed up autorotate?

Does that mean it won't work on ADP1.1h? It works fine on my ADP1.1h but autorotate is now not working....
***edit**** somehow i think it has stuffed up my accelerometer- not working now...... chompsms and steel plus dxtop don't autorotate anymore as do other apps, but then my droidsans says "bad version"... i am confused.....
reinstall jf. this does work on Adp1.1 and theres no way a theme of anysort could mess with your accelerometer.
[Edit] I now think that you must have the paid version of lock 2.0 for this to work.

ok. thanks- just wanted to make sure it wasn't something i had done while installing the themes- obviously i bumped it or something in between taking the battery out 40000000 times.....
BTW: love the theme. The deep theming you have done is amazing- you can't really appreciate the depth of it until you use it for a couple of days- sure the surface icons etc are great but the other stuff is fantastic- thanks.

[REQ] Port of WhiteMochi to Froyo/ACS.

My first post...been lurking around for a while.
I feel like this would probably be pretty simple for someone who knew more about what to do.
I tried flashing the zip, then tried using reframe.sh (through android terminal emulator) to reboot into just the framework, then tried editing the framework-res.apk by adding files and moving files to match other Froyo framework-res.apk files...but all of those things failed.
I didn't really anticipate my actions would have the desired effect, but I was trying.
I don't know what would have to be done. If it's simple and someone would be willing to update this for Froyo, I'd appreciate it. I think some others would as well.
In addition, if anyone could point me in the direction of some learning material for this kind of stuff, not just how to theme but also maybe some development guides for beginners, I would appreciate that as well.
Then I could just do this type of thing myself in the future.
Here's the link to an xda thread with WhiteMochi v0.003: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843204
Thanks in advance.
Think alot of themers on the Epic prolly got their start here using Dream's guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=821638
Good luck man!
I'll do it.
Do you want the clear notication bar or the solid one?
I would like the solid one, if you could. Thanks a ton.
And thanks to both of you. Definitely gonna check out that guide.

Do you want the lockmod installed along side?
What exactly do you mean by the lockmod?
My current rom uses the AOSP lockscreen by default so it shouldn't be an issue, right?

I meant maddoggins lockmod for EC05. It includes 6 different locks.
Oh, no. I tried to install it but was having issues getting it to work.
The one straight from the lockmod thread didn't work (FC when trying to view Lockscreen Settings), I found a working version in the framework included with the Nebula rom/theme but didn't like the status bar.
I was under the impression the WhiteMochi just used the AOSP, or were you asking for another reason?

Haha I can make you a version of nebula with a different colored notification bar if you'd like.
I'm sure it uses the AOSP lock. I was just asking if you wanted me to implement the 6 lock.
If you could get the 6lock in with the Mochi that'd be sweet, but it's not necessary for me.
Would be a huge plus though, hahah.
Still looking for anyone willing to possibly port this over to Froyo/SRF.
I'm mainly just looking for a white status bar without a gaudy notification pulldown and attractive icons.
I tried FrostPort v1.2 but personally disliked the status bar icons (all of them).
I noticed that the Galaxy Prevail (the new prepaid Boost Android phone) has a nice white framework, so even a port of that would be killer.
I read up on theming and I have a basic understanding of what to do, it doesn't seem overly difficult. Only issue with me is that I work 5-6 days a week long hours so I don't always have time to devote to studying up/getting in practice...especially as of late.
I have two days off coming up which I'll most likely wind up devoting the bulk of to learning how to theme (devoted my last two days off to my phone as well...don't know how to feel about that).
In the meantime, however...once again...if anyone is up to the task, have at it. I would appreciate it, and I know others would too.
I'd like to see this theme... Where can I see screen shots of the original theme? I have no knowledge of Android Theming or anything. But if there's a pretty good guide, and by pretty good I mean something that will SHOW me how to do it, then I could give it a try. But I'm more visual so a walk through that's text only won't help.
This seems like its AOSP straight to the bone seriously just use the AOSP ROM, whats honestly different?
When trying to flash it via Clockwork it says "Amend script was disabled in this version" or some such thing, and then says "Installation Aborted".
Using reframe.sh causes the phone to not boot (sticks on boot anim).

Needed - Custom CWM/Gingerbread keyboard

Hi all, I recently flashed my SGS 2 with Angelo ROM but I have noticed over the last couple of days that no ROM has the gingerbread keyboard. I have a .zip file, but the CWM I have is giving me the E: bloody signature verification failed message.
Does anybody here have a custom CWM that I can use to flash it, or an alternate gingerbread keyboard installation type thing?
Also, I wanted to know if anyone could tell me where to store external wallpapers in the root system so the wallpaper pickers find them automatically?

Just install the APK, noCWM needed. You may need to root your phone, not sure because I never tried on stock. if you need root, go there.

Just use the free one from the market. Nice and high resolution.
You have to set the vibration intensity to normal in settings for vibe to work though.

I literally only just found the bottom of your message (teach me for reading on my phone late at night). I don't have a .apk for it, only a flashable zip file. I'd still like a custom CWM so I can install other zip files too though.
@yamanote, @norpan111 what is the app called in the market, searching "gingerbread keyboard" is not turning it up for me.
EDIT: I found it! All installed although my one is still prettier. Can anyone help me with my CWM/Wallpaper issues?
EDIT AGAIN: Frustrating! My lockscreen has vanished again and the home button on the phone doesn't actually take me to the homescreen anymore. Has anybody had the same problem?
'Keyboard from Android 2.3' by Steven Lin. It's free.
Just wondering, how is yours prettier? Too lazy to install to see
The one I used to have, and -was- able to install on this phone was from here:
http://www.darkyrom.com/community/index.php?threads/app-14-04-11-new-themed-gingerbread-kyb-fully-working-edited-few-links.689/
in this style:
Argh, I can't use a keyboard that doesn't have a comma on the main text page.
Swiftkey X is the best I've used yet. It would be perfect if it had Swype style functionality as I can't use Swype due the the stupid number placement - calculator style instead of keyboard style.
to be fair, I thought I wasn't going to be able to deal without swype, but someone recommended the Gingerbread Keyboard to me, so I tried it. After some trial and error I couldn't do without it... probably until the next best thing comes along.
I'm a butterfingers, I need something more intelligent than me keeping an eye on what I'm actually typing.

Gonna have this one too for later.....
Good to see your work back Rixsta. I've been giving codeworkx CM9 a try for a couple of days now, I like it apart from a storage issue. Anyway, found this theme and flashed it, like the look and its a good start.
As always I will give some feedback lol. Not keen on the background in contacts and in menus areas, could do with being more subtle to make it easier to view contacts. Finally, maybe remove the cyan. The red is stunning on its own.
Anyway guys, keep up the great work.
PS.. what cm9 you using?

Your pretty smart aint ya!!! I didnt ask for a smartarse answer and especially not from you. Also if you widen your thoughts beyond 'smartarse' thinking then maybe you could see that actually a red theme would work well and maybe the guys would develop that, dependant on feedback and demand, then name it something else. As you know, it couldnt be called Cyanored, that would be pointless. Pretty much like your comment!!

Amazing theme! Will be flashing this as soon as there's a usable daily cm9.
Keep up the good work guys
Really nice theme! Thanks!
Nice Theme but think about magenta. ;-)
Do you guys have plans for other themes? Cause I'm searching for some "theme makers", they are able to change the basic color of ICS (light blue) to another basic colour (light green for example). No other changes (original icons, original backgrounds, aso). What do you think? Are you bored enough to do this?

Chill, its all about love on this page, not hate
Some feedback:
Works great on latest build (20120217).
Detailing is really well done - blending of red/blue very nice.
For my personal taste the shade of red is a little too bright.
Battery number in status bar is not readable (maybe i need new glasses).
I couldn't see a way to change the background image for settings etc. I quite like this wall, but i'm sure people are going to want to change it.
Thanks for the good work, guys
Don't flash Cyanored on the 20-02-2012 build, SystemUI will FC. I'm working on a fix.
looks nice , goign to give it a try
