XDA-1 - Sim Card Issue...Very Strange..!

Greetings,
I have a very strange sim problem..!
I put a working Vodaphone sim card into my unlocked XDA1.
The sim works ok on my XDA1 and calls in and out ok.
I put the sim back into my standard Nokia handset and it displays
"INSERT SIM"
If I put the sim back into the XDA1 and it works ok.
The sim was working ok in the Nokia prior to putting it into the XDA1.
I have tried other sim cards in my Nokia and they work ok.
Any ideas what the problem may be...??????
It is like the XDA1 has altered the sim.
Regards

Any ideas...???
Other than requesting a new sim card from Vodafone.

Probably so. I don't see why it wouldn't take it. A SIM unlock allows you to insert any carrier's SIM card for use on a GSM network.
When did you get the tilt?
I have been using my unlocked tilt2 with a go phone sim card for the past 6 months. Does the SIM card work with other phones? If not, maybe bad SIM card. If so, not sure what is up..
Try a new SIM card see if that works. I know if you bought the gophone in a kit you know one of the boxed ones in the electronics department the sims in the those phones are locked for 6 months i believe get a new SIM card activate it and your good to go if its an At&t tilt2 you shouldnt even need the device unlocked just from my experience and reading other fourms.. Hope this helps you or someone else

[Q] No Sim Card error

Hi Alls,
My company change mobile operator and give me new sim card. The Sim circuit is small like microsim. Unfortunately, it always show no sim card when I insert it into my Arc S. This Sim works perfectly with other phone. I borrow my friend' one full size Sim which the same operator with my new sim card, insert into my phone and it works!
I try to align the Sim circuit with phone Sim holder plates, flash different ROMs, baseband but no use.
Currently I'm with Arconium 4.0.
Please help.
Thank you very much.
Hi @jackup
This sounds like the obvious answer is the right one...
...You should get your mobile operator to give you a sim card that fits your phone.

Yes, but this is the last solution and I'm not sure the new operator willing to supply the full size Sim or not. I'm still want to know why my Arc can not recognize the Sim.
Thanks!

[Q] O2 Note 2 will not connect to network after unlock code

Hi all,
I have a Note 2 which was on O2 I purchased an unlock code on eBay and unlocked my phone using a friends micro sim which seemed to work fine. The only sim card I had is a nano sim so I tried to use one of those adapter trays and broke my sim reader in the process! So I replaced the sim card reader with a new one.
The phone seems to read sim cards now as it does not show the insert sim card error but it is not getting any signal and is showing the error "Not registered on network" when I try to dial. I have checked the hardware and the aerial is connected and undamaged. I have never altered the software on the phone and it is on the stock O2 4.3 ROM and the phone is not rooted.
Any ideas because I am at a loss...
Thanks
Doesn't any one have any ideas?

SIM Card Reader Not Working

Help please!
My G3 from the off just does not read any SIM cards.
Even sent it off for repair and had the SIM Card Reader replaced - it still doesn't work and they think it might be the SIM IC...
Anyone have any knowledge on this area?
