I've been trying to find all the available cubes on the Hermes for use with Schapps 4.31 ROM. These are the only ones I could find. I've no idea if there is a favourite or if its just user preference.
Anyone point me to any others or let me know if they have tried them with the ROM and had problems?

Those are the big three, pd's vista cube is actually a skin for Kona's original cube, Slither is currently working on a C++ version of his cube (still in early beta it is not ready for use by new users) the flash version is very good. Also there is Touch commander available (but it costs about $15 and is not as good as the three listed above).
If you use Slither's cube you will have to reconfigure the ftouchfloconfig file to point to the location of wmplayer (or you could just install adobe flashlite player from a cab and then use the cube out in it's original form, but this wastes about 2mb of storage) besides that it runs well, PDs (and the original Kona cube) are pretty easy to use (sometimes they slow down on me though) and Byka's is good as well. Just read the directions and you should have no issues.

Hey thanks for reply. I have a US tmo phone without myfave or any extras. I just want to make sure I'm doing this correctly to get ricky's 6.1 running ok.
1. Run SDA applicationunlock from computer
2. place surrealapp on phone and install
3. reset device
4. run uspl.dat file from computer
5. run RUU v23 (the boot loader) from computer
Also, have you ever used CHomeConfig?
Check out the wiki for upgrade information and caveats. There are links there to the instructions from the ROM cookers themselves as well as video links to the process so you can *see* how it works before doing it yourself.
wm 6.1 ricky's v23 no opera is what i have on mine and its awesome, tons of goodies like threaded text, sliding panels, jogger bar, flash lite player, omap clock and much more. Here is a very good link to some great programs and apps.

There's a lot of cool apps you can find for it, it all depends on what you like,and what you want your phone to do for you.
I'm running Rickwatt's V24 no Opera, and I ended up adding Opera mini 4.2 afterwars cause I hate PIE and after trying opera, I think its a great browser.

Why are we not seeing these titles being added to the sticky topic ~ Programs/Utilites & Games ~ working on the Touch HD.
It annoys me when we have a topic purely dedicated to adding the titles you have installed on your Blackstone and I come across this.
Pass this info into the Blackstone's wiki topic...... I'll do all the work in getting it up on the wiki for you.

I personally found this thread far more useful than the Programs/Utilites & Games ~ working on the Touch HD Which is a list of all programs found to be working, not just the ones you actually use. So.. Here is a list of all the stuff I've installed so far:

AM I missing something here?
If a software title works and the poster has proven this by installing and using the title, one would then assume said poster actually uses said title.
This logic not only applies here but in the Wiki Title list as well.
I'm seeing a lot of titles in this topic which are not being filtered to the wiki.

It is interesting to see what selection (the operative word being _selection_) of software people have chosen to install on their devices. I've installed and uninstalled software not because it didn't work but because there are multiple programs which perform similar tasks and after trial and error I found the best one for me. For example, multiple Device locking programs.
In my opinion just because said poster has tried some software (and it works) does not mean they are using the software.
I just want to see what software people have chosen to install and use on their HD out of the big list of stuff which works. Which was the point of this thread, was it not?

It is however better when the titles come from the wiki's parent topic as that topic is often the first stage back from the wiki to the forum whereby members check.
Having material added which comes from outside the wiki's parent topic can sometimes confuse members who search back trying to find any additional information that was placed in the forum.

I'm a big fan of the wiki and especially of this topic and have added a number of titles allready, but I wonder whether it might be an idea to add (an instruction for adding) a short description to each title instead of just saying whether or not it works (as is often the case now)?

So I found a prog. called Fring... which looks really great on the Touch HD an works perfect. It also has the advantage that it regroupes a lot of Chat Clients as MSN/ICQ/Google Talk/Twitter/Yahoo etc... it also enables Skype and other services(Facebook/gmail Notifier....). It is easy and fast to use. For example starting MSN with Fring works 10X faster then with the preinstalled MSN Client. xD

See, here's another advantage of this thread...thanks to the short lists people display, one comes across interesting combinations, and evensingle programs which would just get lost in the humonguos master list: I was looking for something like Change Fonts v.01 !
Similar to what kareem9nba did for the Raphael, Hermes and Kaiser (and I did for prophet users) I'm opening up a service to let you request ROMs with the apps/tweaks you want, without the crap you don't want!
The ROMs will (for now) be based on the 2.03 shipped ROM, but I may start using a newer XIP/SYS when I get a decent, stable one - yes, that means no WM6.5 custom ROMs yet, sorry but I don't have the time to port everything yet!
What I can do:
Programs/Games:
Thousands of these. - I'll add paid apps, but you have to supply the registration details, or add them during the first run.
Version:
You want a clean ROM? say so, and I'll strip the rubbish. Want the sample images left in? again, say so and I'll leave them.
Other:
Whatever else you'd like. Can be tweaks, changes to the OS or whatever. I can also include your chosen radio OS, or splashscreen if wanted.
Preferred Upload Host:
I'll upload it wherever you want, and drop you a PM when it's done.
I'll probably have the apps you want already. If not, I may need a cab file to add what you want.

Lol, you didn't steal it. The more we could expand on it, the better I just recently got a Universal so i'm thinking of opening it there (cooking is quite different there so still have to get used to it :S).

That shouldn't be too difficult, bar the fact the the sprint Diamond is CDMA, so I won't be able to test it directly to make sure it all works. I can probably test all the parts on my GSM Diamond, but I may need to get you to test things once or twice.

Again, that shouldn't be to hard. One thing though, what kind of battery icon? One that replaces the little 4 bar one in the title bar, or one that provides the bar across the top of the screen?

Can I get a rom based on the latest leaked sprint rom wwe 2.00.651.1 and give the latest but best radio with the whole diamond2 tf3d tricked and tweaked out on low memory can I get that?
As stable and fast as you can get it
not so much a rom, but mainly just a cab to install the '3' tab into the tf3d from the pro (or whatever one they are using) if it's possible?
What about another of your own great roms but put all cabs for apps you usually include into a folder so that we may install what we like. Do the same for tf3d, tweaks etc. I mean in a folder within the ROM itself.

I have a request that i am hoping one of our great chefs can complete.
Im torn between all the roms, they all have things i like , and things i think are missing.
Core 21869 MEGA with Weather on clock by TAI is a great rom, But why cant skyfire be incorporated with Touchflo like opera mobile is with some of josh's roms? And why can't htc audio manager or even core player do the same. When i enable music widget, it does not work because there is no skin for windows media player. But i dont even want windows media player to do anything. I would rather use core player or htc audio manager via the music widget on the manilla 2d flow menu.

Would be amazing if you could get windows live to work as a widget in manilla, because right now i see no decent way to use windows live , unless you have the stock rom which is a boring rom.
Put what ever you need to on the SD card. Would be nice if there was 50+mb of mem left and 25+ of ram 30+ would be great. That way a GPS program can be installed and run with out lagging out other apps.

Can this be done? is there a 6.5 rom out there with these goodies. The music widget is a big deal for me , and google maps, and it needs to be the manilla 2d touchflo feel, not the vertical scrolling i like horizontal scrolling with color icons.

Manilla and some more apps you are asking for are so heavy to run in the rom each others, you will never get all the apps runing in the SD card cause many of them only works fine in device main memory

Well i guess you are asking so much for a hermes rom... suggestion migrate to another device with more ram and rom...
We all do the best to bring you on the newest OS Not even available for all the globe so.. maybe some request can be done many other cant... ask to you favorite chef in their respectives threads dont open new thread to ask for something added in a rom.
