Me too, i'm also just collecting It's good to know a place where you can find useful apps, i'm also trying to create a website with useful freeware apps and roms for the artemis. but i'll have to ask all programmers if they allow me to do so...for some roms i already have the permissions to create a mirror-server with their ROMS...

chicke wa wa woom!; thats one hell of a nice collection there!!!

in B&B 4.1 i want to change the green windows mobile startup screen... it starts off with the planet with the sun coming out screen, which i like, then goes to the green windows mobile screen. dnt like it, want a black one like meschle's rom... ne ideas?

just copy your own welcomehead.96.png into the windows directory and you have your own picture after the htc-world screen...

you can easily make it on your own....or just use google or search the forum for examples
attached you can see mine, it's easy to create for example with photofiltre (a free picture-editor)

just tried to do it with a pic i had. renamed it to welcomedhead.96.png... copied into windows, got error message, file in use or the file is read only... ne way... got work in morning... im gna get some sleep...

use total commander on the device and copy the file in the windows-folder, then it should work.... ps: you can't just rename a bmp for example to png, you need to save it in this format.. ... Getting some sleep sounds good....me too! Cheers, good night !

[OEM/CAB]Topaz Notification Manager With Buttons

This is the Topaz Notification Enhancement. Normally the Topaz Notification Enhancement is nothing special, but this one... This is special. This one has the special buttons from the Tachi added and has quite a bit more functionality over the standard Topaz Notification Enhancement.
This will work on both WVGA and VGA as it will auto-resize itself to the appropriate screen resolution.

The Rhodium and Topaz Notification Enhancement's are identical as far as I know. I have this on my Fuze currently and it supports portrait and landscape just fine.

Yes if something goes wrong and it does not work the way you had hoped, I made the cab uninstallable. I think you will be quite happy with it though.

i just tried installing the cab on my touch hd and the setup returns saying installation was failed. i wonder whats wrong, my rom is the latest official rom released about a week ago - 1.56.. pls help.. thanx..

To all of you, do you have Notification Enhancement already in the ROM?
If yes then that is why it will not install, if no then what EXACTLY is the error you're getting when you try to install the cab?

1) Installation prompt to install to device/storage card [chose device]
2) Installation progress bar moves slowly to 40% and suddenly speed up to 100%
3) Message appears "PACKAGE_Topaz_Notification_Enhancement_CUSTOM cannot be installed. Install to another location?" and prompt me to select device/storage again.
Btw I did not install any notification related program. It's a fresh installation of Dutty v2.8.

Anyone who has Notification Manager in the ROM already can try this:
Download the OEM package, extract it and open folder "PACKAGE_Topaz_Notification_Enhancement_Custom".
Select all files except the two named "8b5144b7-897f-4d98-85bb-b1973a8cb87b".
Then copy the files to \Windows folder overwriting the original files.
It worked for me on Dutty's 2.8.
P.S. Actually I think that just copying the .dll files and "notifications_btn_small_press.png" and "notifications_btn_small_rest.png" from the OEM package would work, but since I've already overwritten all the files I can't test it. If someone feels like experimenting they can give it a try.

So please can someone repack it?

I cooked in the OEM posted and nothing looks different...it doesn't look at all like the screen shot...it looks the exact same as the regular notification's...am i missing something? the battery icon percentage is not there... the wifi icon showsup the same. I am also using different taskbar icons though could that be the problem?

I copied all the files and changed the registry, but it turned my notification back to bubble style.

There is a clockfix to make your clock without flip animation,also remove the 1pixel line in de middel.

Im not that familiar with TC, so how do i back up the old ones? and to install i just go to windows in the directory and paste and click yes on overwrite? Also do i need both of these files? I want to keep my own backround. Will this work on my Fuze?

for backup you need to go in your windows directory,search the files described in my post and copy them to you sdcard or your computer just in case if the graphics are messed up.
yes to install just copy one the files to your windows directory and overwrite:
1.clock numbers and background or 2.clock background alone.
i dont know if this wil work on your fuze,if you have TF3D2 cooked in then yes i think it will work,depend off you screen resolution.

or you dont have the correct manila version or your files are hiden,with resco explorer you can set as option"show hidden files" and with TC push show then Hide files in rom

Okay, i found those files backed them up, then did exactly what u said to do, it asked to overwrite only like 1 of the files, didn't work, then did soft reset and viola, BAM it worked like a charm!

If it fits the rest of your theme, I guess some people will like it, but I'll stick with the white one.
I have two problems though:
- Your fix for manilla-cab does not appear to work for TF3D v2.1
- In all your versions, the background appears to have a mis-allignment on the left?

i have receive this fix,dont know how to make it work on 2.1???if you can make cabs maybe you can extract them to?so try to see inside the fix cab,can you do this?

Changelog:
This CAB covers WM6.5 and Manila2.5 highlights, but not standard applications such as the Calculator and YouTube. These are available as separate downloads for whomever wants to extend the theme further. Touch Input is also skinned, as well as PIN-screen and half the dialer.
Known issues:
1. Only half of dialer (phcanImages2.dll) works atm as I cannot seem to get a hold of phcanImages.dll from this ROM.
Installation:
For some reason the DLLs don't want to be installed via CAB (compressed or not). So copy and replace DLLs from RAR-archive to Windows directory with Total Commander or Resco File Explorer.
Enjoy what I've got so far, and report any remaining green or graphical glitches if you wanna help out.

I'll try beta2 (installed beta1 late last night but didn't have time to test yet). I can't copy phcanImages.dll with resco explorer or total commander, so I can't get you that. Maybe ask Itje for it or extract the rom?

I have extracted the ROM via kitchen, the DLL shows up as module, and when I try to use RecMod.exe to re-assemble the module into DLL-file, nothing seems to happen.

Hi MrRusch! I have installed on Valkyrie v2.9FS-G but somehow it did not work, only the 3G icon and the battery icon were changed. I have succesfully copied the dll's to windows directory but still no change. Have i done anything wrong? btw, should this also supposed to change the iconset on each TF3D tabs? If not, would it be possible for you to share the cab file or provide me the link of the iconset? Thanks

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly. Nothing changed color-wise? Still all green? Did you install the CAB on your phone? Soft-reset? If colors still dont change then it must be difference in manila versions, but someone said it worked on Valkyrie ROM as well, I'm confused.. The DLLs are supposed to change the Touch Input keyboard, the PIN-screen, and parts of the dialer.

The person who reported that it is working uses a valkyrie 2.8 FS rom by Agent_47. Mine was from the same chef but on a newer ROM which is valkyrie 2.9. Anyway, thanks and i appreciate it so much for providing the link on the TF3D tab icons.

Come on people, please read what you are flashing! Valkyrie 2.9 is no Manilla 2.5!

Hi MrRusch! I would really love to have the blue theme on my Agent_47 Firestorm v2.9FS-G. Any chance of you having a look at it? I have tried this beta and it does not work at all. I mean, I installed it, soft reset but it is not working and did not change anything on my phone. Thanks so much for your time in looking into this!

As Manila 2.5 is in such an early beta stage, I will not be making ROM-specific editions yet. As it developes fully (landscape support etc) and becomes more stable, I will create such versions.

@laurence0609: Why ask here? Just use the blue theme from Valkyrie himiself. It's in his third post in his Valkyrie topic.

I've got Touch X 10.1 ULTIMATE X-TREME "MrRusch BLUE EDITION" ROM. Would this cab be compatible in your opinion, or do I have to have a WinMo 6.5 ROM with Manila 2.5 already on it? Your work looks cool as hell, and would love to have that instead of Manila 2.1!

About ICTU
I C Thru U is a tool for WM6.5.x and Manila2D version 2.0 and lower (not Manila3D - version 2.1-2.5) that automatically crops sections from your wallpaper and sets them as the backgrounds to your taskbar and softkey bars so they appear "transparent". Of course this isn't real transparency but it's the next best thing. It can also do some other tricks like scaling large images to fit, removing the background from the softkey buttons, making all Manila elements on the home tab transparent, etc.
ICTU works with W|QVGA and W|VGA resolutions. Install to your device and run via the "I C Thru U" shortcut. When clicked, you will be asked to select from a menu of options - Backup, Restore, Current Wallpaper and New Wallpaper. I advise you to make a backup before continuing.
Clicking "Current Wallpaper" or "New Wallpaper" will take you to the main selection screen where you can choose which parts to make transparent. Take a look at the screenshot above - it's arranged so you simply click the button for the transparency you want to apply, e.g. the first button makes the start menu transparent, the second makes the taskbar transparent, and so on. If you clicked "New Wallpaper" it will first let you choose a new image then apply the transparency you have selected.
Please note: Because this new version uses a more complex method of resizing and cropping, some operations will take longer than they did in the older version. Sometimes it may appear like nothing is happening, but please do wait for the app to finish. You will be prompted to restart when done, or Manila will auto-refresh.
Have fun! To return to your previous settings either restore your backup or re-select your themes in Settings>Home as well as in M2DC.

07.06 - 1.0 Final - Fixed a small error in the backup script, fairly confident everything is running smoothly now. Also included scripts to remove any left-over files and registry entries after uninstalling.
07.06 - 1.0RC - Lots of improvements, stability and added features. Now the app lets you scale/crop large images to fit, automatically syncs the Manila and Today wallpapers, allows for the removal of all Manila backgrounds on the home tab, transparent start menu background, no need to restart after making changes to Manila, etc. Please test.
01.06 - 1.0b5 - After many attempts, the app with gui should new be working.
01.06 - 1.0b4 - Hopefully this will have fixed the startup bug introduced in v1.0b3, please test.
(removed) 31.05 - 1.0b3 - There was a problem with applying transparency twice in succession - that should now be fixed.
Sorry guys, had to remove the previous 1.0 betas, they weren't working on some devices. Will try and solve the problem. In the meantime, try an earlier version.
(removed) 31.05 - 1.0b2 - Please download the new beta - I think it will have fixed the "include" error. Also, the app can now be installed to your memory card and you don't have to have Mortscript installed!! Thanks magawa.

For the resizing and conversion this script uses ImgResize.exe by Andrew Coates, the interface uses cimg.exe by Cyclonezephyrxz7 and JMLMenu by JMHL/MichelDiamond. Thanks guys!

Known Issues:
1. There is a known issue with resizing certain images. Sometimes the app reports an Out of Memory Error - this is caused when the image is too big, or there is some other internal error. This occurs only with certain images and I am trying to solve it.
2. The piece of wallpaper for the top bar is actually a duplication of the part just below it, so it will appear like the wallpaper is repeated at the top - this is a limitation of WinMo I'm afraid (well, at least it is in 6.5.3), because the wallpaper actually only starts 18/36 pixels from the top of the screen. Hope that makes sense.
3. Sometimes the Manila slider and button don't look so good when transparent, because without the button you can see through to the icon below - this isn't always a problem but sometimes it doesn't look good. Solve this by leaving the slider and button untouched, or only make the slider transparent. Play around and see what works for you.
4. If you have an issue with your start menu going screwy (this sometimes happens after changing themes in Settings > Home) try re-selecting your wallpaper in ICTU.
5. This was tested on an Omnia using WM 6.5.3 - things may work differently for other builds and resolutions. I take no responsibility for damage to your unit.

- Save layout as a single skin file so you can have multiple saves, and you can share skins with others!

EXE working and testing
nice program and working 100% in my device with my rom
but I have this problem with m2d todaypage that the wallpaper is different ( it uses old hh_background )

Great that it's working on your device.
Regarding the todaypage issue, I did try to overwrite hh_fw_background.png using Mortscript but it's completely locked (even with attribs set to FALSE). If you know of a way to unlock it then I'd love to know.
The answer is to set your Manila wallpaper to "\Windows\stwater_yourwidth_yourheight.png" - unless there's some other way to set it automatically and refresh Manila...
Please find attached the icons!

you can make the script make the hh_background it will be better and for sure ram sweeper ( am poor in english but U understand me )

and if you want to update the script just edit it and the exe will handle it

Well that's the problem you see, I have already tried many different ways to overwrite the file but it won't let me. I set READ ONLY to FALSE, and even then it doesn't overwrite it. If you know a solution to this please let me know.

Of course you can use the app in your roms, no problem. I only changed some small things in 0.7 - removed the countdown in "I C Thru U.mscr" and updated the version number.
I'm not sure what you mean by "the EXE will not be with the source files OK ?!" Can you please re-word?
