hey guy's i have a question .. i have HTC Dash and my plan with T-Mobile and when i upgrade my phone to 6.1 the internet dont work enymore and when i browes i get something about my plan and upgrade and when i back to original rom i get this same problem and i can't browes enymore just when i conncet WIFI it work great just GPRS dont work the brows go to t-mobile site ... i need help please
Do you make internet settings? All settings>Connections>GPRS?
ok what data plan are you on and what apn are you using to connect to the internet. you probably just need to edit your connections. try the epc.tmobile.com apn, works good on my viva. no proxy needed

First off, work on your spelling and grammar. Now based on what I think you are saying, you're phone isn't set up with the right network settings. What rom are you using? Most of the 6.1 roms have an automatic configuration tool to set you up with T-Mobile's settings. Otherwise, check the Excalibur Wiki that is stickied in this forum and it will answer all of your questions. If you still don't see a fix, then SEARCH. If even then you're clueless, then come back and ask us.

Do you know, it cost you nothing to type more in your post? However, it does cost you 'the answer' you are looking for if you type less.
Ok a few questions.
What country are you in now?
Does your phone cames from t-mobile?
Is the phone using t-mobile (your country) ROM?
Did you skip the Ext ROM installation?
Have you manage to connect to Internet before?
Does your telco package include Internet?
What do you mean by 'answering modem is disconnecting'?

Phone is made by O2 (mda Orbit )I am using a t mobile sim that can access the web in my motorola 3i razor ( definate yes to the do I have internet package)
I did install all the disks that came with it (O2)
This phone in new out the box and has as yet to be connected to the web
When i try to access the web I get the message
when i try to get on to explorer i get the message "connecting to gprs",theni get the error message "the answering modem has disconected."-thks
I'm not sure, probably the O2 phone is trying to connect to the O2 GPRS instead of T-mobile, hence the problem. Anyway, read this

on the sectin "Setting up Mobile Web connections", it has the settings, and rather detail instructions on how to set up t-mobile UK. Hope that tmobile still uses the same settings. If not, try the WAP section.

have you tried going to start > accessories > connection set up and actually setting up your connection?
any idea were i would find settings for vodafone uk thanks
Try connection setup. If that doesn't work, call Vodafone and ask them.

or, beings that its 2008, you can probably just go to their website just like tmobile lets me do and get the settings.

Everything is fine with the new Pro 2 but I can`t come into the internet with T-Mobile...

Where are you located? If you are setting up Tmobile webb $5.99 on T-Mo USA you need to change some settings manually.
I`m in Germany ....
Best thing to do is search for the German T-mobile GPRS settings and enter them manually.
I had similar issues with my X1 in the UK.

No problem with T-Mobile. I used the automatic TP2 configuration
If all else fails.... ring T-Mobile and ask them for their settings
Make sure you have a pen handy!
I am using TP2 on T-mobile UK, Web n Walk access and am getting HSDPA.
Have you unchecked the proxy server bit. Certain applications don't work with it enabled.
Soft Reset
Hi all
When I set my TP2 up for T-Mobile UK using HTC Connection Setup I had to do an extra Soft Reset after to get it to work. So that's a Soft Reset after the one you're asked to do by Connection Setup.

Was having probs with email. unchecked the proxy bit as suggested all works fine now.

Settings--> connections tab --> connections ---> Set up my proxy server
Missed the all settings bit in the settings tab oops

Hi guys,
I successfully unlocked my htc desire with htccode, inserted my 3 sim in, txt and calls all work.
However..
The internet (3G) wont work, i turn on 3G, but there's no icon showing at the top, browser can't load page etc..
Anyone know why this is happening?

i'm on orange contract (all working) and i want to use 3 pay as you go (internet not working).. i dont seem to find a place to enter any internet setting in my phone..

I just got a HTC Desire Z and im trying to use the internet on the phone or anything that uses the internet but it keeps saying to go in and check the data connection options or wifi etc.
I am with Optus and it picks that up and registers to the network the correct options are enabled to receive data aswell.
And the phone has reception.
don't know what else to try.. because as soon as i put the SIM back into my TouchPro 2 it connects to the internet fine no problems.
any suggestions ?
everything is stock haven't changed anything yet .. i just dunno what else to try

Contact the provider your bought it from? Or if you bought it on craigslist there is a good chance that it had issues to begin with and you should have checked during the transaction...
okay thanks i purchased it from smoothmobiles.com.au where i got my HTC TouchPro2 which worked fine maybe I got a DUD
Are you connected to a WiFi network, and does that work? Do voice calls work? If voice works, and data doesn't, then you probably need to manually enter the data network APN info for your carrier. Go to Settings>Wireless & Networks>Mobile networks>Access Point Names.
Search on Google to find the proper APN settings for your carrier, then enter them into the phone. This is common when buying unlocked phones. If the APN info is not in the phones database, you need to enter it manually.
If even WiFi does not work, something else is going on.
