well with the native nk.exe its easier to cook 6.5 roms, without getting integer overflow when relocating stuff, also it has or supposidly handles memory better than 6.1
i dont think its a 6.5 nk.exe , ervius kitchen crashes with it but with raphael 6.5 nk.exe it works... anyone knows how to check if it is or no?

You have to port SYS and XIP, use old OEM.

SYS folder contain the rom right? so if for WM6.1 u can just copy the SYS to the old WM6 .. the thing now is how to port the XIP & map the boot.hv

dude u r able to extract the SYS & OEM of a WM6.1 rom? which one did u use ? I tried downloading the cooked rom here but cant do a viewimgfs ... always get errors ... can u point me the base rom?

i dump the wm6.1 os.nb file through hypercore kitchen by anichillus...
try it!!!!
no more needs external cab extractor...
(from an idea of:"ArHon" with his: OEM Packages Compiler, that opened my mind about....)
full registry compatible now....
new version 2.2 solved problem with "spaced" folder for remodule!!

P.S.: the package creator, is able to remodule all files inside only if executed on non "spaced" folder,
example:
c:\documents and settings\... (no GOOD)
c:\_a_b_c_C\kitchen_deV_Trin_19900\ (is GOOD!)

Is there any posibilities of doing the inverse process, i mean to take and OEM package, and build .CAB file automactly?
I know it is not very usefull for ROM cooking, but i have many OEM Package translated to Spanish and a lot of users like to install LITE ROM and then add .cabs of dessired applications...
I think it will be the perfect complement for this GREAT!!! application.

this 3d is for package creator v2 not for xipporting.
news:
in 1st post version 2.2, solved problem for "spaced" folders for remodule files, now you can use also "c:\documents and settings\..." folders..... for example!

sorry for offtopic, but where trying to port build 19701 from hermes to trinity with your kitchen and the resultant ROM won´t boot, we take XIP dump from hermes ROM (PDAVIET), put files into new XIP folder, push "Port IT!", and choose XIP from other device when asked, but it doesn´t boot!!
What we are doing wrong?, is this the correct procedure?.

Shaks created a WM 6.1 kitchen which you can get here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509330 you would just need to add the TF3D2 packages to it. If there was enough interest I could be persuaded to make a WM 6.1 "plugin" for my WM 6.5 kitchen.
Allright i downloaded the kitchen and edited it a lil'
now i need the TF3D2 packages. and i would REALY appriciate it if you make a wm6.1 plugin ^^!

Could you find what you had been searching? I think that is something missing on this forum (or I haven't met it yet, I'm still on look):
A stable WM6.1 kitchen that have TF3D2 included (or that can be integrated... It's still not pretty clear for me).
It wouldn't hurt if it was 6.5, but why bother with the extra weight?
Here's xboxmod's package tf3d2 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3472132&postcount=3 , or you could download lobsterdave's 6,5 kitchen, take the package from there (there might be a file called "skip" or similar, delete it) and replace the old manila in shaks kitchen or nataly kitchen. I have tried 2nd option with nataly kitchen, it works.

This is a native WM 6.5 Hermes OEMXIPKernel/xip.bin/nk.exe - aware of the new Slot 60/Slot 61 virtual memory layout - what does this mean for you as a chef?
Now you don't have to recmod any modules in \SYS anymore, to port over WM 6.5! And you have 64mb free to convert more files to modules!
But you will need to use a relocation tool that is aware of the new memory layout;
Ervius Visual Kitchen + Bepe's New Kitchen do this with the "Real WM 6.5 AKU" checkbox
There's also a build of "WMReloc" 2.0 floating around that may support this, that would be compatible with the "old style" kitchen (buildos + g'reloc, it would replace g'reloc)

thank you. I have been following your topic for some time and I must admit its way over my head. So do we just not use the \SYS folder anymore? I'm really confused on this.
over my head too... does this mean improved memory performance for 6.5 ROMs on Hermes? Storage or RAM? Could use a RAM boost with most ROMs...

goona redo the kitchen for 21807 with the nk.exe that nurkamol gaves me... oemxipkernel here must do the trick inthe ervius last kitchen just lemme get rid of the big admin folders there! a little confusing... but with a nice master chef ould be posible...

Edited: first try was a failure! i set all the kitchen with all the 21807 modded of course... The thing i change was... the nk that nurkamol gaves me, and I couldnt find where to place the .ROM folder (it was on the sys, but in new kitchen where to place it?) and set kitchen to Imagestart at 0 PP 6mb not works... then i Add tehe default wincenls of course it was verwrited by OEM and chenge Startimagfs at 340000 and PP to 8mb and not works...
Next attempt...
Dont delete any folder from 21807 and let the xip ported nk by josh...

For others: don't panic, it has 15MB of PP set so you have to change it. btw, implantxip can't do that, you have to do it with osnbtool - or manually

for all those who can't get pp right:
Edit your TOOLS\kitchen_build_rom.bat and find the line with implantxip and replace it with those two lines:

Use the Romhdr and os.nb.payload for any other build cause its special for Hermes... I ask you this cause the OEMxipkernel modules are different, are many more on this kernel by Da_G.

that is a XIP problem if ur cooking WM6.5 with too many modules and not using the WM6.5 Kernel Nk.exe option then this happens else, it runs perfect

when ur cooking its on the top of the kitchen it says "Real WM6.5 AKU" check that box and then cook the best way it that u load the base.erv ROM and cook using it but before that see that all the Packages are enabled except the ones in SYS let them be the way they are

it's a mixture of oldstyle and new kitchen so u get 2 kitchens mixed up with doubled packages and so on ...

no man... the OEM are the Basic ones from Diamond ROM its not mixture of two kitchen its Diamond OEM in Ervius Kitchen
