Windows Mobile splash screeen

Hello Guys,
this is my first post. I want to know how i can change the splash screen with Windows Mobile logo with another image... I refer to the last image that appears before the today screen. Thanks to all that will help me!

this splashscreen is locate in windows dir under this name welcomehead.96.png or welcome96.png
take it and look dimension , and put a pic of your choice ( name it welcomehead.96.png or welcome96.png ) with the same dimension in windows dir ( use resco explorer for overwrite this file cause it's a file system)

Is there a .cab app that can help u change the splash screen? without reg editing? i want to be able to do it so i wont have to edit the registry but im tired of the old splash screen!

Which splash screen and which device? The first one when it boots up needs to be flashed on. The second one (Windows Mobile Logo) can be overwritten by a PNG graphic.

You could change it, but never try to delete it.

You can stop the animation on startup, and you can change your start up screen image (Welcome96.png), as for removing them completely, I'm not sure, though I doubt it.

You could replace both with a plain black image, if this is what you mean by "removing" them. TYou would still need to wait for the device to finish it's initialization before using it.
To replace the (2) Splash Screens, you will need to flash them ... there are instructions in the Wiki.
To replace Welcomehead.96.png, simply create a replacement and copy it into the Windows directory, using the same name.
To remove the startup animations, there's a couple of regedits, also described in the Wiki.

Color scheme on transparent bar on 6.1

Ive searched the forums and only came close to an answer.
Im trying to change the transparent bar on the home screen, can someone please lead me in the right direction as to what to download or what i need to do? Preferably in transparent blue or red.

only thing is now i need to know what a filechanger.mscr is..
can anybody lead me in the right direction as to where i can get it or if i have it?

What type of file are you trying to change? There is a filechanger in my signature below for homescreen cpr file and bronzeres.dll files for the 6.1 sliding panels.

its a dla file. ive installed the zips you have in your sig plus the cab...when i get to the file thru file changer it says no file selected....any ideas?

when you get to the file you want, move to right side of explorer window, you need to have at least 2 files to choose from. Move to the file you want and push Ok on left soft key. If its the first in list, move down to second one and then back to first. For some reason, the file explorer in mortscript will not let you select the first file until you move to another one and back to it, thats why you will need at least 2 dla to choose from. IF you only have one, then that is why it tells you "no file selected". I don't know why its like this, but pocket notepad reacts the same way with its explorer too.

I am playing around with this myself now... And somehow I got the glowing yellow panels working.
So, what if I ever want to go back to the original ones? Thank you.

Just use the original panel that i attached towards the end of the .cpr .dll changer thread.

[HELP] Remove some boot texts

Hello,
I want to ask someone if there is a way to delete some texts when the device is powered on?
I have a problem that when I power on my device under the text "smart mobility" I got a message like this one: "Test only, Not for sale" .... so is there a way to delete this **** from the system ?

using advanced config tool, you can find out the 2 (or 3) .gif files that are used in the startup animation. one of them will have that text. You just have to replace it with another.
Im not 100% sure that the smart mobility one can be changed but its a good place to start.

The smart mobility logo is not an image per say. It is embedded in the "splash" area within the rom. It can be changed but not as simply as changing .gif files.
If the text you are seeing is on the first boot screen (the Smart Mobility screen) you won't be able to remove it through Advanced Config. The startup animation is the second boot screen (typically the HTC logo or some other animation). Are you seeing the text on the first boot screen for sure? If so, I can give you a new .nbh file to flash with CustomRUU that will give you just the Smart Mobility logo.

hi - does that nbh file exist? i've got a similar problem and have tried flashing different roms but the "test only" persists.
