INSTALL
- Unrar the concept wvga file to your desktop.
- You'll see 1 map and 1 wadesktop file.
- Inside the theme-folder you'll find the following folders: weather big and weather small.
- Copy these 2 folders onto your phone (It doesn't matter where, since you can assign these by going to your settings in WAD2)
- Install concept.wadesktop as you usally do with wad2 themes.

Heh no problem, thought you didn't mind. I also mirrored it as most people don't really like the rapidshare links, you could add the mirror to your original post aswell if you want. Yeah I read that in the original post, really waited a long time for the WVGA version of the concept theme as it just looks awesome. Flashing my device now to a very stripped ROM and gonna install it. , how are interface transitions and such at the moment?

Everything is pretty responsive. Although not as fast as the original for the omnia...but still fast enough for me.
However when going from the lock screen to the home screen, wad 2 might not respond for like 1 or 2 seconds (dnno why )
So please have a bit patience so you won't be tapping around your screen (and so opening apps or tabs you don't want to open )

Alright great. Well the looks alone will make it worthwhile . Currently at hard-resetting my device and then I'll get to installing the tens of cabs that I have x.x.
Whats the res for the Manga and FMRadio pictures btw? Want to put something else there.

Okay... I just got out of bed to say this... this is officialy the most AWESOME theme I ever used. I get completely smooth transitions so it might just be your HD or rom you have (have the stock rom?). It's just superb, now I'm off to bed again to map all the buttons to the correct programs but really... this is just insane, I'm speechless. It's beautifull!

Can someone please direct me how to install this theme for WAD2? For some reason it is not showing up in my themes when I go into WAD. It's been a while since I've used this application, but after seeing this theme I'm dying to give it a try!

Go to the .wadesktop file and run it, this will install the theme, then when you go back to the themes page scan for themes and it should show up.
Hope that works, don't have wad on my phone at th moment, but will be for this!

I same this theme....only one word for it: awesome. But i have never used wad before. I already purshaded it and i installed the theme, but when i tap something i get: error loading shortcut or lacating the target filename. This happens when i play music, try to open manga, open callender and probebly even more.
An other question: how can i change some things? since i also dont use manga or fm radio. What i understood so far is that i should change the picture and create a shortcut to the right application????? Would be really nice if someone could explain to a newby

Did you copy the 2 folders onto your phone named, weather big and weather small? If you did, go into your settings in WAD2 and under the icons tab you can browse to where you put those files for both large icons and the small icons.

You are getting the error because you need to assign your own apps to the links. You can do this by holding your finger (or stylus) down until you get a drop down menu. On this menu chose "Author Mode".
Once you're in author mode, be careful because it is very easy to mess up the position of the pictures and text. You can move everything around when you're in author mode. I would advise taping and holding down again to bring the drop down menu up so you can chose the "Lock Items" option.
So now you can tap and hold on a link you would like to change and go into the properties of the link. Then go to the "Script" tab. You can change what program is launched here by choosing your own app.
Once you've played with WAD for a while you'll get the hang of it. It is extremely customizable so have some fun with it....as you can see with this beautiful theme!
The customization is overwhelming... it's driving me a bit nuts. But that's a good thing.
For some reason for me the weather forecast thing doesn't work at all, the dock doesn't show up. There's no script to bring it up. So I added the script myself to show page_forcast, but it just shows numbers and no images, even though I already specified the weather big/small in the options, I copied the weather big/small folders both to mem stick and phone mem and tried both locations in options, both don't work. Any help?
p.s. what's with all the extra folders included in the theme folder? are you supposed to do anything with them?
EDIT: Nvm I re-installed it all and it works great now... customability is crazy, you and pretty much make any GUI possible. Only dream now is to make phone faster overall, but for that HTC needs to use better touch screens and hardware.

I know you can assign WMP, what results in opening WMP.
But i want to use the Music pic as a mp3 player.
i want the mp3 number in this red cirlce........so i can use the play forward keys!
What are the options for this. Plz help

same here...i have customized the whole theme to my needs...but am unable to get mp3 player running...
this is what i do...
1. i first click on the power sort of an icon (right end) to start wmpcontrol...it says use one of the following parameters...volup,down,next or prev
2. then i click on next or previous and then i get this error:
the file 'wmpcontrol.exe cannot be opened ..either its not signed with trusted cert or one of its components cant be found'
pls help me....once i get this mp3 player running...i wud succeed in having a complete theme...
also, pls someone let me know which is the executable to get allprograms list show up

I was wondering the same thing as Pudge. It may not look exactly like you've mapped it out in your head...but it looks pretty darn good to me. A .cab would be great, Organic.

Hey OrganicM, It looks sick but if i could suggest something, then it would be the title, instead of making the "temperature" the title, why not make it My Weather or something along those lines and underneath it - you could make a line for the temperature, upto u - otherwise it looks amazing - Keep up the good work and post a .cab when ur done

I know, that's what I wanted to do initially, but this damn TestUIPlugin, will NOT let me do two lines of text!! Only thing I could do, is append the current temperature at the end of the forecast blurb... But it wouldn't really make it stand out.

I took a look at your cab _setup.xml and I was wondering what needs to be changed to the Chome_320x240.cpr for the app to work, since I prefer my chubby panels and its icons and overall layout (just a matter of taste, you know).
Perhaps you could post a little step by step guide for the ones like me who want to implement it by hand, with the needed files in a single compressed file (zip, rar, your choice really, I've already got them from the cab ).

If I'm not mistaken, I thought he intended to post the .cab for the "chubby panels" soon anyway. I am on the same page with you, Cassiano. I like my plump panels, but I'd like to install Organic's .cab too. I don't necessarily wanna change anything in my homescreen layout--aside from including the new weather panel.

This thing is awesome. Just what I needed. However, is there a way to remove the photo and media pannel? I tried to edit the XML file but it doesn't change. Any ideas?

Just set the plugins as "disabled" right in the registry.
Updated first post again, this time I added a "last updated" time in the top right corner. This gets updated everytime the weather script runs, so you have an idea how recent the info is.
Alright...for some reason it won't allow my city to be displayed when setting up Weather Watcher. It'll take me to a blank IE screen. I made the change to my city in 'Options', like instructed. Then tried to open 'Update Weather'. It would take me back to the blank IE screen. On the homescreen--the weather sliding panel is blank and just has a sun in it. Is there something I'm not doing?

no, just find of get an idea and wing it actually. for this one I just took screenshots of vista and doctored them in photoshop
if you could change this start button to more like Vista one.

This theme made me switch from TouchFlo3D to WAD2. I did some corrections to better suit my needs. For example startmenu panel wasn't fading out when certain icons were tapped.
I managed to redirect messaging icon into sms/mms folder instead of main messaging screen but I have a problem with other icon. You designed My computer icon to open file explorer. I would like it to open programs directory just like windows start menu->programs link does. I can open /windows/start menu/programs in fexplorer by passing path as a parameter but it's not how I would like it to be. Do you know what command should be issued to achieve that? I googled for answer and searched xda forums but without any results. Something tells me it has something to do with shell32.exe but I'm a noob in WM world and I don't even know where to start.

Don't make the "my computer" change you desire more complex then it has to be Just go into author mode, delete the my computer icon. Next just click and hold where the icon used to be and select new>shortcut Navigate to the folder you wan to open. Select the button images you want (note my computer icon is in the \storage card\WAD_Icons\MALLMAN\Mallman_vista folder) You can select both images to be the same if you want or make it different on a press. THat should work for you
bug fix coming today guys. Hold out on installing this for a few until I post it.
Bugs:
1. launching windows media player from start menu closes the sidebar and it should be fading the start menu.
2. Launching My Computer from start menu doesnt hide the start menu
3. Launching Camera from start menu doesnt hide the start menu
4. Launching control panel from start menu doesnt hide the start menu

Solution you suggested gave me the same results as opening fexplorer.exe with path to folder parameter but your way is more elegant, thanks . Nevertheless I treat it as a temporary solution. If I find out how to create link like start->programs has I'll share with it of course.
Speaking of bugs let me add one more:
Hiding startmenu panel doesn't hide shutdownmenu panel.

Yes I noticed that as well when I was adding some sounds to the theme. I will put another version out soon with sounds and that fix. thank you for your testing!!!
Currently my digital clock is not visible on my home screen, only in menus.
I want to save space in my home layout for some other line and to replace carrier/clock/date with sms/mms/missed calls.
Anybody help me make clock, maybe date, visible in status/title bar.
After ugly windows start menu this is the stuff make me crazy in this new ROM 3vo.
Do you understand the concept of a search bar or are you just too lazy to try it. This stuff has been dealt with in this forum so many times. If you hate the 3vo rom soo much and want to change everything I've got a few solutions for you. Get a different rom, make your own rom, get rid of the dash, or put a gun in your mouth. Sorry if it seems like i'm flaming but for the past 2 days you've posted 4-5 new threads saying that you don't like this, and wanna change that. Well guess what buddy??? Beggars can't be choosers. So take your pic from the options I've listed and please contribute to the forum and ask something original for a change. Maybe even start a thread of something that is an issue that pertains to more than just you and your infinite ability to whine.
Additionally I'm pretty sure there is a big ass main panel with the time on it. I maybe mistaken but hey if all else fails you could wear a watch. I've heard people have done that for centuries.

you are right. i m seek of unfinished ROM's or ROM's for kids.
I don't need big clock and nice picture of some sport car. I have that on Samsung or Nokia.
I need smart phone with "easy-to-get" solution if, for example, i'm outdoor i need one-look or maximum one-click solution.
So much unncessary stuff but there are no few "need to have on my home screen" stuff.
At the end, there are no answear on my question.
And second, i do googling all day but with no solution.
And i asking again (not you) is there a possibility to set clock or/and date on title (status) bar on main (home) screen. It apears in menus, but disapears in home screen.

No, as far as I know it is not possible to do what you want to do. However there are ALTERNATIVES (which could have easily been found by searching the FORUM with words like "clock on status bar" or "clock on home screen"). For instance, SmartToolkit. With SmartToolkit you can have the clock on the taskbar (bottom bar) of the phone. That is one solution.
Another solution is to use the Sliding Panels (not titanium) and dock the first panel. This would make it so that the time is always visible.
Two perfectly good solutions right there. Settled. Not only do you to search/google, you have to search/google WELL!!!! There is no excuse for the inablity to think of the right terms to search for a good answer.

Its not that it has a lot of unecessary stuff it has everything there for you to customize to your liking, the ROM has everything that you need all there layed out for you. but to fools as yourself it seems as it has too much.

i will probably return to HTC Canary , it has clock and date and i could save space for other home screen plugins to be visible at once.
Also HTC Canary has coloured windows start menu picture.

Only just now do i know what mean by start menu you do not mean wallpaper "background" you mean the start bar colour? you can use base hue to change it, back on the topic in question, if you do want to revert back to the old style home screen i'd advise going back to 6.1 "Kavana Ricky Remade Vanilla" is a really good option and pagepooling to 4.5MB will give you 27MB aprx of RAM, or even just sticking with phatt panels is going to give you more play.
If need any more info regards pagepool etc feel free to ask.

Hokay the Windows Icon i'm pretty sure is in shellres.dll or shellres.96.dll "as is on PPC" never changed so not sure, the Clock on main Homescreen won't be able to do i know what you mean by being a PPC user myself "you get the choice bat or clock"

ok . i have tried smart toolkit recently and i dont like because:
1. i'm using right key software
2. it is too much (2 windows start menus) because there is no way to eliminate first one (windows button returns me on original one).
i don't know what's the problem.
if somebody with million posts on xda-developers can't help me with most simple question about clock and icon then....
member stylezx at least tried to give me correct solution.

I am glad to see that Jdshifflett got banned.. I cannot believe that he actually told Xmarkom to off himself.. I don't care how mad he may have been at Xmarkom you do not tell someone to do what he said to do (as his option 4... in his post #2 on the first page of this thread.)

Back on topic, I just remembered something about the colored windows logo being mentioned in Ookba's 3vo ROM thread. I would recommend going there and searching terms like "colored windows logo" or "windows logo color" or something like that. If that fails, try sending good ol' Ookba a PM asking him. he is super-intelligent and knows almost everything about the phone and the ROM's, he would probably know how to get color into your black/white start icon.
Still no solution in mind as far as the clock thing goes...sorry

when i open up the resource i cant seem to replace it...any thoughts....its not as if there are a cache of ready made 25x25 icons that are 32-bit floating around(error-cannot replace different size or color depth...blah)...that i can find anyway....not really concerned, but... this thread got me tinkering

You need to resize your new icon according to the existed icon in the dll. The icon should be 25x25 with 96dpi and bit depth 32.

Maybe all you need is clockontop app. It does not put the date, just the time.
It is included in most roms cooked here... Let us know if that´s what you need...
As for the colored windows logo... sorry, I don´t know how to change it.

The files for this Animation was providet by [ElCondor]
So what i did.. because at first i don`t like the Backround colour i modify the backround frames and make them full black and full white without any shadows also clear some pixels and make the animation faster and under 100kb
The final result is really cool looking animation, fast and smooth i think to make diferent colours and styles when i have more time.
Also here is Sound from the Windows 7 Start up but because in diferent ROMs sometimes the Start up sound is with diferent name i will post the sound separate and if anyone like it can just rename and copy in the Windows Folder.
I Already test it few times on my HD and the result is Amazing.

OF COURSE you will say you made them.. then how u pretend that my Files are the same with your files when i Upload the Clear Animation 1st? and When you pretend you know almost everything and this is a job for 2 minutes WHY you don`t do it by yourself for 2 minutes and all will be happy me too and i will not do it by myself will just Download yours.

So everything was fine untill i upload the Animation.. witch mean when the peoples don`t have what to compare of course will not know with for sure do this is Good or its BAD..
But when this person who download the Faster Animation he saw the diference and now there have a problem because NOW he can see that this Animation is better.
you haven't explained me anything, I know how to modify every frame with photoshop but I was just wondering how to change it when you don't have the PSd file. The fact of the matter is you are both posting modifications of material that has been copyrighted by other people (HTC and Microsoft). Neither of you could claim any kind of ownership over the images over which you are now squabbling.
Additionally, this is a forum where members post their work, making it public and while it is polite to provide credits/attribution (see my threads as an example), once you have posted something you have no control over how other members use it. If you have posted original material that is subject to copyright and/or a creative commons licence, and if you are earning enough, you can ask your lawyer to ask them to remove any material that might be "stolen". In this case, neither of you can steal something from the other when you have both in fact stolen the material from somebody else (as per first sentence above).
Finally, nobody wants to read your ridiculous arguement with each other so I suggest you continue via PM if at all.

This situation seems to be similar to when someone "skins" a work originally created by another. From what I've seen on here, the person who enhanced the original work usually makes it clear that their work is only an ENHANCEMENT or MODIFICATION and includes a link to the original creator.
So I think it's only fair that tsalta edits his first post to make it more clear that his work is a modification and post a link to ElCondor's original post, which is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=587867.
My opinion is only based on your exchanges and original threads...I have no idea what ElCondor had to do to create his work and what tsalta had to do to create his work, so my opinion could be wrong. I hope you guys can work it out.
EDIT: looks like andrew posted clearer information about these works while I was typing...

I Aree with you too and this is what im saying. The reason to don`t write that he made the Files is very simple because he really didn`t make the files that are uploaded here on this post.
Also i dont have any problem at all so like i say i made it for myself and then decide that i can share with other peoples who like it.

No problem you 2 have done good work
What is it:
This is a quick extension I coded up to turn XDA threads into an image gallery. The extension button will enable when you're on a topic that it is able to translate, clicking it will open a new tab that dynamically fetches images as your scroll down. Keep in mind this is an Alpha, did it in one day, so it may ( read "most likely" ) will have problems. Its great on those "Post your screenshots" ( wallpapers, cases, whatever ) type threads.
Permissions:
- "Access your data on forum.xda-developers.com" - This is to fetch images from the forum, I haven't messed around with removing it since I was just using this personally but decided to release to you. Promise I don't care, nor gather, anything about what you do on XDA.
- "Access your tabs and browsing activity" - This is to detect when you switch between tabs and enable/disable the extension button. Also I do have this hooked into Google Analytics now, but I only gather extension page views to see what's being used. In the future I'll be hooking it into events as I add features( if it's popular enough ) to decide where to put my efforts. No personal information is collected.
- "Storage": Allow extension to save Extension Settings.
How to Install:
New: Added to official Chrome store now just add via https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/xda-gallery-beta/bohmnlfnbncjhpjagccfgblhcdgicdnp
Reporting Bugs:
If you'd like to report bugs then please give me the thread you had an issue with, and if you can narrow it down to an image then link to the post containing that image ( if it's working, there is a link under each image to bring you to the post. ).
What's Next:
Currently the extension will start showing images from the forum page you launched it from. Going to implement a way to jump to the beginning or specific page.
Implement scrolling upwards to load the previous pages images, this is needed for the next item.
Lots more ideas for "community" type features But gotta get the basics hammered down first!

Now when viewing images in the popup you can click to view prev and next, or just use the arrow keys to navigate!
New Extension Settings page, styled to blend in and match chromes style for settings.
Setting to adjust the minimum number of images to fetch( Careful here as it wont render any images until it finds at least this number, could take awhile if you try and use on a thread that doesn't have many images ).
Setting to turn on debug mode ( Will show logging in the Chrome console. NOTE: I'd leave this disabled unless you need to troubleshoot an issue as it could slow down logic a bit )

Lots of fixes and enhancements in this one.
First off, thanks to Pooley! He is an awesome guy, and very talented. Thanks to him with have a great, professional looking icon!
Aspect ratio is now respected
Added image zoom capability
Now identify images with broken links and shows in small window( as to not break scrolling functionality for now )
Images should also layout nicely in a column format
Fixed quite a few bugs( hopefully without creating new ones )
Hmmm... seems like there should be more, but I'm too lazy to look at my commit log, so just check it out

I got it man.. it didn't work with any off topic section threads...
Does it by any chance only supposed to work with windows chrome version?
I use Ubuntu 11.10 with latest chrome version...

Didn't use anything that would exclude Linux, I'll have to look into that.
Been awhile since I updated this, but did a complete rewrite of the extension, should now be working much better. Replaced attachment with new extension and added changelog in the OP.
Now in the official Chrome Web Store Click here to install

The first thing you should fix is to show the pictures in the correct ratio cause at the moment it looks like this:

Glad you like it... New icons would be great, I just don't have much time to work on icon stuff, unfortunately because I'd like to get better at it PM me if you need any info from me. Thanks!

Yea, that would be awesome... I'm sure it'll come eventually( *fingers crossed* )
It doesn't work if the page contains a gif. But gifs are shown in the gallery though.
Example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38762538#post38762538. And i think sometimes it also happens if a gif is present in a user's signature.

It's working now. Seems to be haphazard.

Ok here is the icon. first attempt. zip contains psd + png (512, 38, 19).
Will try another way as I don't see clearly the pic on 19x19 res. But it's a first try, tell me more about color, about shapes what do you eventually like to see in the icon.
FYI no active/inactive as the inactive will be the greyscaled version of the active one

I like this one (minimalist and easely recognizable even in 19x19) what do you think ?
Also attach a zip with psd + png (512, 38, 19) ON/OFF mode
