30 MARCH 2009: PANELS TESTING ON R2A UK and NAM ROMs
New R3A Panel Manager -> Tested OK, but must install ActiveX Deployment first !!! This is the english version but will install OK into any other language (not guaranteed to work)
My opinions: faster transitions, better animations, smooth, and best of all: YOUR LAST ACTIVE PANEL IS AUTO LOADED AFTER A SOFT RESET: DEFINITIVELY WORTH UPGRADING
BUGS: Since this new panel manager comes from an english ROM, I have tested it ON ENGLISH ROM ONLY. I have seen occasional freezes and the taskmanager "x" button disappears from some panels - INSTALL IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
On the road PANEL -> Tested OK, ActiveX Deployment and new Panel Manager are not required
My opinions: GREAT panel with big finger-friendly buttons for GPS, phone, mp3, etc when "on the road"; A MUST !!
CNN PANEL -> Tested OK, requires ActiveX Deployment and new Panel Manager
My opinions: Gives me weather and handy news, cool interface and fast animations; Bye bye TF3D !! (my last missing from TF3D was the weather tab)
Growing PANEL -> Tested OK, requires ActiveX Deployment, new Panel Manager not required
My opinions: Sort of "3D fishes" but beautiful, colourful and meaningful: every bug/plant means something from battery level to wifi signal strength, missing calls or new emails etc. Great chick-magnet and relaxing screensaver, I even kept it as my default panel by the time being; YOU'VE GOTTA CHECK IT OUT !! Cons: battery sucker (mostly because you'll love it so much you'll keep the screen turned on more time )
New Media Xperience PANEL -> Tested OK, requires ActiveX Deployment and new Panel Manager
My opinions: Radio ncluded, greatly enhanced, faster transitions, pics displayed lightspeed, loads my 800 mp3 in a breeze and even adding album art (thumb cached ??) GREAT IMPROVEMENT OVER R2A !!
EDIT 02 APR 09:
ALL R3A PANELS ARE NOW WORKING OK OVER R2A ROM:
STABLE, ZERO FREEZES, VERY SMOOTH AND FASTER THAN PREVIOUS VERSION
No resets after 24 hours of intensive use, switching between panels very often
CONS: "x" taskmanager button is missing in some panels
(don't know if this is a real "bug" or normal behaviour because the "x" button was also missing in the original 3D Fish panel and other panels)
Enjoy
can the new panels including the panel mgr be installed in stock rom such as R2A?
I have added the most recent testing information to post 2
So far I have installed the new panel manager, CNN panel, on the road panel, growing panel and the new Media Xperience panel on my stock ROM Xperia and all is OK
Zero problems after 1 day of usage
I compiled the CAB with hardcoded paths intending to completely override the previous version (it will be auto-uninstalled) to avoid conflicts, and seems to be working fine
I'll upload the new MXP panel too, but only when I finish testing its stability over R2A

Yep, just make sure you install the SE Flash Deployment cab.
You ever going to upgrade your nav panel? I love it and would love some new features.
Hi gtrab...do you think there's a chance to upload and get our hands on the R3A ROM?

Full R3A ?? I guess not, unless somebody translates it all, file by file
But in the mean time I am still working on some more good chunks and bites from R3A
Regarding panels,
- Added more panels, including the official Sony Ericsson "on the road" panel, improved from the previously leaked one
- Added a small opinion of each one into the second post, and it's test status over R2A ROM
Now the library has more that two dozen panels
If you find more panels around, please help me to keep it growing and updated
New Panels in Storage Card or Memory?

I'd suggest "device"
Your Xperia has enough internal memory to handle whatever you throw at it
- Everything will definitively work faster from the internal memory
- Installing to internal memory avoids any possible bug/problem
- In the end, these are relatively "small" apps and won't consume too much memory (a couple MB is nothing compared to TF3D's > 40 MB space-hungry requirements)
Ok installed Active X Deployment, then the other 2 applications(new panel manager, growing panel) got them installed....but the panel does not show in panel manager....shrugs....
Found out by default it does not show...you have to go to settings....click on one of the blank spaces with the suitcase looking icon...and select the growing panel....
Xperia Tweak Panel option doesnt work with the new panel manager.
WC
Not having a lot of luck here, the panel manager and ActiveX deployment files install fine.
Media Experience immediately quits stating installation was unsuccessful
Growing panel installs but does not show up on the panel list (No i didn't forget to go to the actual panel selection pane )
On The Road works, and the other panels aren't that interesting to me, so haven't tried those.
I must say that i try all the panels in R2A LAM and only work the on the road
The new media xperiance panel the one that shouldt run pictures faster does not install it says error installing...And the growing panels install but does not appear anywhere...
I need some help
I have noticed that itje has put some day this panel in his rom thread i guess TOUCH_IT 4.5 or so
MXP_MR2_R27_35200_signed an this one install but when i runned it it start looking for the pictures and mp3 and videos and it blink and dont respond...i guess it stuck....
Sorry for bad English...
Hope somebody couldt help me..

TO ALL OF YOU HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW PANELS:
1- I have tested it myself on two different phones and works a treat,
zero problems !!
2- You must have some third party app blocking the new panel manager
3- The correct order would be: Install ActiveX deployment first, soft reset, install the new panels manager, soft reset, install panels one by one and test each one
Let's work this out:
- What's your ROM and language ??
- Any third party app installed ??
- Xperia Panel Tweak installed ??
- sdkcerts helps ??

Just had to do a hard reset due to some Android testing, though i did not perform soft reset at each install.
- ROM is R2AA008 DK
- No third party apps during installation, i've added spb weather, traveler and backup since, as well as an updated google search and google maps.
- No xperia panel tweak installed
- Gonna check out sdkcerts, but is there a direct link for it? Don't want to download a 600MB SDK to get it.
sdkcerts FTP download can be found in first post from this thread:

I'm also missing the vibe whenever I switch panels (not as big an issue as the missing Task Manager button though).

3D fishes panel omitted the task manager "x" too
That's normal behaviour
Well sdkcerts didn't help unfortunately.
So it's either because of installing it incorrectly or because of the Danish rom, so i guess i'll wait, don't want to do another hard reset already

I've made some efforts to completely replace all the standard Windows Mobile applications on my Touch HD with finger-friendly ones that offer fluid scrolling.
Check this out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xg2XlNNt3vE
Newest video with WAD themes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iV3wNMqcj8
You can also continue using TouchFlo3D together with all the other finger-friendly apps in the package!
Use SSMaPa to make them default: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407777
You can make even better skins with Wisbar Advance Desktop.
Other than Winterface, it completely replaces the today screen, offers the (imo) beautiful iPhone-like launch animation and is completely customizable.
It produces less battery drain and is more stable than Winterface.
As it completely replaces the today screen, you can embed any shortcuts, today plugins, all kinds of status icons (e.g. RSS, weather, tasks, wifi...) and you can choose whether to display the taskbar and/or bottom bar or hide them.
There are some beautiful WAD skins in this forum, but I chose to make one myself because I wanted to have the launch animations.
You have to put some effort into it but Wisbar Advance Desktop is really great and better than Winterface, in my opinion, which produced crashes and did only sit on top of the today screen instead of replacing it.
Well, back to my package. I thought I'd share it with you:

- updated some of the applications

Finger friendly but not user friendly
In fact ,I don't like iphone style, just like the shourtcut on desktop
Why? It makes my Touch HD a lot easier to use! So yes, it's user friendly.
Nice ! Will be sure to test it.
If someone wants a user-friendly phone, please go buy iphone instead. The reason I bought HD was of its hardware / screen and the unlimited possibilities to change everything / code without owning a stupid mac.
Thanks again for this awesome package.

It's not the reason to do not transform the HTC in a finger friendly phone with hardware and screen that roxxxx
it's really awesome, seen on your HD. But on mine i've never seen something more unstable than Vito apps: it's a continuous crash, it runs in full screen, it takes control of the device and overrides everyting. it's a pity, since winterface has really a good look. But i have bought a wm device to HAVE control, and with winterface i feel i have an iphone in my hands
Looks really good!!
Did you add this for chat?
nice work maati might give it a try just to see what it's like....
You can also watch the video.
I will probably add Throttlelauncher and FingerMenu to the next version (ThrottleLauncher has just been updated for WVGA).
Perhaps I can also find some easy to use IM application (does Pigeon still crash?).
That's a really nice idea and an interesting set of applications. Thanks for sharing those - there are some (like TaskFacade) that I wasn't aware of before.
How do you assign TaskFacade to a button?
How on earth do you install these themes for Winterface?
There is no Skin or Theme icon in Winterface and I can't find anywhere on the net how to install a skin.
Can someone please help?

UPDATE 1:
- i guess i did find the "move to right" bug where bubbles did not move correctly in some cases. so it should work fine now.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
i plan to develop a flashlite puzzle-game panel for the X2 ;-)
but before starting a "bigger" project i did a "redesign" of bubble breaker to test handling and some issues with flash lite and (of course) compatiblity with my x1:
Bubble Advanced (Beta):
gameplay:
its the same as in bubble breaker. the basic strategy is to "cluster" one dominant color to get as many points as possible.
differences to bubble breaker:
- empty collumns will not "close" automatically.
- if you doubleclick on a single bubble you get special moves (move all bubbles to left or right).
- coming soon: more specials and difficultys
you are free to test it and report all issues
so lets go:
PC-VERSION (BubbleBeta.zip):
-------------------------------------------
Info:
this is the PC reference-version to compare speed and behavior.
of course this runs very smooth
Online Demo:
BubbleBeta
or:
Installation (PC):
download and extract BubbleBeta.zip
doubleclick the BubbleBeta.swf (or drag and drop into a browser if you have no flash standalone player installed)
THIS IS ONLY FOR BETATESTING. PLEASE DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE THIS SWF
Known Issues:
none (so far)
X1-GAME-VERSION (BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Game).cab):
-------------------------------------------
Info:
this is the "non-panel" version. it runs with the flash-lite standalone player.
the flash-lite standalone player is not the same as the Sony Ericsson ActiveX Deployment Flash Plug-in. you need to install it additionally.
Installation:
- download and install Flash Lite 3.1 Standalone Player on your X1.
- install BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Game).cab
you will find the game in you games folder
Known Issues:
- slow but playable
- "tap&hold" is a pain in the a**. but there is no way to disable the context menu in the standalone player.
X1-PANEL-VERSION (BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Panel).cab):
-------------------------------------------
Info:
this is the "panel" version. it runs with the se-flashlite-deployment plugin (also used by various other flash-panels).
Installation:
- download and install Sony Ericsson ActiveX Deployment Flash Plug-in on your X1 (if you havent already installed it).
- install BubbleBeta_0.8.0_English (Panel).cab
- add the panel to your panel-manager
Known Issues:
- slow but playable
- (r3a rom and "old" panel manager): fast doubleclick on the same bubble is somehow blocked. you have to wait like 1 second to click the same bubble again. tip: you can still fastclick another marked bubble (next to the first clicked) to avoid this. it seems to me this is a problem of the panel manager.
- (r3a rom and "old" panel manager): after activating the bubble-panel the "old" panel manager quits if you press the panel-button again (maybe this will work with the new panel manager).
BETA RESTRICTIONS:
--------------------------
- highscore will not be saved
- screen rotation (landscape mode) is not supported
- no sound
QESTIONS:
-------------
can someone please test it with the r3a rom and the "new" (inofficial) R3A panel manager ?
thanx and have fun,
- QuadWord
Update1:
- i guess i did find the "move to right" bug where bubbles did not move correctly in some cases. so it should work fine now.
- did some _minor_ speed improvements
.cabs in the first post are updated.
- QuadWord
panel doesn't work with new panel manager. tried softreset, still nothing, maybe because i run a stock rom
and for the game itself... well, its slow and the context menu is annoying but the graphics look really good and the extra features are making the game more interesting.
austrianX1user:
thanx fou your feedback!
sadly there is no way to disable the context menu :-(
i will however look into the panel issue.
just one question: normally you can double-click on bubbles to remove them. in the "old" panelmanager you have to wait like 1 second anfter the first click before clicking the second time. did you have the same issue with the "new" r33 panelmanager?
- QuadWord
Im using a custom rom which i believe also uses the new panel manager (Touch-IT 7.2) and the panel doesn't appear
to enable x2 - flash panels on the x1 you need:
- the activeX Deployment
- the .cab below
BUT: it turns out there is no "stable" way to run x2 panels on a X1. i can only provide the "best possible" way. if the panel is more complex it will bring down the panel-manager sooner or later.
- QuadWord
Please help a colour blind man
HI
I love bubble bobble, and this is a fun new version. I'm looking for new stuff for my pre-ordered HTC HD2.
Please could you consider allowing a change to the colour set? I am, like a fair proportion of men, slightly colour blind in the red/green area. What that means is that there are two sets of balls that both look green, and two sets of balls that look purple. This makes the game unplayable for me.
The version of bb that I currently play has a black and white option which changes the colours to different patterns of clear, lines and hatches. That's OK, but it would be SO much cooler if I could pick my colours from a palette.

Italian Translations by "rubenalf"
This is the new WM6.5 23405 - Thanks to rubenalf for doing the hard work of putting the SYS/XIP together. I did some mods to it from there, and then tweaked the Kitchen for my ROMs. Notice the new Task Manager accessible from the Start Button (Tap & Hold). It also "CLOSES" programs when the X is tapped. Or, you can choose to Tap & Hold the X to minimize. Thanks to amarullz! Find more information over here.
Each Different Version will be listed on Page 2 (Might Spill onto Page 3) with the Download Link for each. In each Download Link I will post the Self Extracting Kitchen, an RUU_Signed.nbh, and an AutoFlash file.
What is AutoFlash you ask? I've taken the RUU file, added the Flashing Program, and Packaged it all up into an AutoExecuting AutoFlashing Program, and, it's a smaller download than the RUU alone. Pretty cool huh? Yes, others have already done this, but I'm going to make it a standard practice from now on.
"AutoFlash (tm), Making Flashing Socially Acceptable, One Package at a Time!"
My recommendation for Flashing is:
Make sure you have Hard SPL on your Phone. I recommend Olipro 1.20 - Click Here for More Info
Be sure your battery is at least 50% full.
Start your phone in Tri Color Screen mode. Steps below
--Unplug your phone from USB
--Hold down the Power & Camera Buttons
--While still holding them down, press the Reset Button using the Stylus
--Release the Reset Button, but continue to hold the Power/Camera buttons until you see the Tri Color Screen
--Plug in the USB cable (if asked about installing a driver, do this), You should see USB in the White Box)
Now you can Flash.
Run the AutoFlash file for the ROM you've selected, or Flash using the Standard Flashing Program included in the Kitchen.
Enjoy!
Suggestions:
For those who wish NOT to have a Startup Sound (it can be annoying) use my attached "Kill Startup Sound.cab" I'm sure this is going to be downloaded a LOT. If requested enough, I'll remove the sound completely.
Edit: From now on, the Startup Sound will be left out. You can enable it using the "Enable Startup Sound.cab" It's driving me crazy with as many flashes and restarts I need to do.
I recommend using the SkyFire Browser as your default.
Thank you to EVERYONE on XDA. Chefs, Programmers, Cookers, Users, Noobs, everyone! You've ALL helped me to be able to do these. I'm sure I'll learn a LOT more as the days go by.

I also hope to get that working. It's hard to do with these latest ROMs due to how much space they take up. I'll keep trying though. I did make one with an earlier ROM that worked pretty well.

Did you follow the directions on the post? "While on Home Screen, Tap Taskbar, When Icons Show, Tap and HOLD Top Right Corner Until Icons Disappear, Release."
If so, what problem is there? I'll try to fix it.
Yes, this new TaskManager "Showcase" is pretty cool. I'm anxious to give it more of a workout and see how it holds up.

I haven't done anything to protect it, so I'm assuming you can use all the parts. I hope it works for you!
PS: I believe the Keyboard already has the Language installed, just need to deal with the other packages.

Confirmed, ActiveSync over Bluetooth working!
I will do an SPBMS 3.5 ROM. You want it cooked in, or would you prefer to install it yourself?
It seems rubenalf and I are swapping Kitchens back and forth. He's now going to translate my version of his ROM back to Italian. Sharing information will definately help us all. Good Luck rubenalf.
my best compliments!
hello!!!
is it possible to make smaller some windows/text box in this rom?
it seems that most of 23*** ROM are made for VGA screen, but when adaptating them to QVGA, not all text box was resized....
it's my opinion...

Which ones specifically are you referring to? I'd be happy to try to figure it out.
hello.
i'm talking about:
-adress bar and zoom bar of internet explorer.
-windows of volume control.
-top bar of almost program (example: file explorer)
-menus from "file explorer", "Picture & Videos" _ i think all popup menus.
-space between files in file explorer.
note: when i'm using Resco Explorer, lines from each file are display very close, same for the menu (good).
tank's.

Sony Ericsson has released some new panels on their PlayNow Arena.
Panels added (as of 12/05/09):
-Facebook BETA (X2)
-Twitter
-LiveJournal
-Youtube
-Tracker (X2)
SE also added Pixel City Day & Night links on PlayNow.
I got really excited about trying these out, so I might have skipped some added ones
Link
UPDATE! [01/31/10]
Twitter X2 Panel was released today at PlayNow. Not sure what the difference would be, but it seems like it sports some new features, because of the file size difference.
Also, an On-the-Road Panel for the X2 was released as well.
Personal Rating for Panels
Twitter Panel: 9/10
-Same UI as Facebook Panel, gives a seamless look when switching over
-Takes just as long to load as Facebook Panel
-Nice light blue interface, revamped buttons in terms of shadowing, etc.
Facebook Panel BETA: 7/10
-I haven't noticed much of a difference yet with the old and new, other than minor performance tweaks. Maybe some type of integration with another app..?
-Slightly faster loading times than original
-Typos and minor punctuation fixed
Youtube Panel: ?/10
-Yet to be installed.
-X2 Panel Manager and Google Youtube Player required to use.
LiveJournal Panel: ?/10
-I don't have a LiveJournal account, but it's UI from the log in screen is similar to FB and Twitter Panels.
-Looks like it was rushed a little bit to be compiled, b/c the panel description is the same as Facebook's description when selecting the panel.
Tracker Panel: ?/10
-ALSO, yet to be installed.
-I think X2 Panel Manager is required for this Panel. It's a Java program; it gives an error message when it opens during installation, and error message from installation window.
Twitter X2 Panel: 9/10
-Not sure what the difference is between X1 and X2 panels. Will check the cab registries later on.
On-the-Road Panel X2: 9/10
-Gives the option to choose the maps application you want to use. (Displays all start menu items)
-Same GPS loading times as X1 Panel, but I didn't expect that to be updated.
-Finds the amount of songs in a specific folder faster (around 50% less time; depends on amount of files)
Is there a big difference between the x1 facebook panel, and the x2 facebook panel?

Not from what I see atm.
The most I see is the performance change in the "bubble view" for status updates.
When oh when will someone get a brain and create something usefull like a Gmail panel?

Or an FML Panel, perhaps? I like to keep updated with my FMLs.
There also is the Google Panel that links to Gmail, but it's kind of useless.
Any way to link straight to a panel rather than the panels app?

Not completely sure. Pubba made a panel launcher for the MediaXperience and Radio Panels, but that's basically it.
Linking straight to a panel kind of defies the purpose of it as well, but you could do a little research.
I basically just want the facebook panel packaged as an app as the standard winmo one is awful and this one is lovely
Where is the pictures?

Well, you can either:
1) Install the panel on your device to see what it's like; or
2) Go the the PlayNow arena and view the screenshots (if available)
I don't see the need to post screenshots, as the panels look exactly the same, and close to everyone in the XPERIA X1 section of the forum has an X1.
I don't understand one think. I use SPB MS 3.5.3 with mod (Mtstmp - Keithdupont MS Espresso -> best mod in my opinion) and when I have X2 ROM for my Xperia there was an option "Use 3D accelerator" in SPB Settings and SPB Carousel was working very smooth but when I've switched to another ROM (Xperia UnOff) "Use 3D accelerator" dissapear from settings Maybe somebody know what is wrong? Drivers, some change in registry?
Sorry for my english
i have the same problem
It's a problem with SE software
I'm rom-chief, and have problems with 3d-enabled SBP MS. After running carousel, xperia panel manager fails to start, and hang up the device.
I think, that SPB disable 3d for compatibility reason.
If you want to enable 3D - replace file "ModelName.txt" in Windows folder, that contains "X1i", with the file, that contains some other text "Kovs100", for example, and reboot device.

But how is it done because you can't overwrite ModelName.txt the phone says?
Overwriting ROM files
Try to use Total Comander or Resco File Explorer.
Or cook you own ROM
I will try total commander.
But I doubt I will cook my own ROM.
EDIT: It worked fine using total commander and the 3D carousel is very smooth.
I have another question now, is there a way to disable/uninstall xperia panels and assign X-panel button to the carousel view?
EDIT2: Nevermind, it seems like SPB ms in 3D acc mode doesn't crash the phone using the panelmanager. I've tried going from the 3D acc carousel to panel manager and switched back and forth the differnt panels and spb 3D acc carousel, the phone doesn't hang. I'm using Christians latest rom (love your work man!) and it's using the X2 panel manager.
where can i activate 3d carousel

Ok, here's what I did.
1. Install latest Total Commander, I installed the beta version for Winmo 6.5.
link for download: http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm
2. Use Total Commander to look up "ModelName.txt" in the "Windows" folder in your phone.
3. Open ModelName.txt and change X1i/X1a to whatever you like. Save and close.
4. SPB ms will now recognize your phone as "whatever" and the alternative to anable 3D accelaration pops up in the SPB system tab.
I think if you change the model name before you install SPB ms the 3D option will be automatically on. And I can guarantee you that this works perfectly with Cristians latest Clean rom(the one with no SPB ms panel), in case you having problems with 3D acc turned on.
EDIT: Don't forget to soft reset after changing the model name.

Is available working X2 panel manager ( .cab file) to install on R3AA010? Because panel manager from X1 seems doesn't work properly (like SaddamRU said) when 3D acc is ON, then I click 'X' button and phone hangs up, only soft reset is possible :/ when 3D acc is OFF then everything with 'X' button works fine
EDIT// I noticed that 'X' button hangs up device when we press it on 'Today screen' of SPB MS, so I delete panelmanager and map 'X' button to launch start menu or something
Yeah, the X2 panel manager is available to download, look in the rom section. Although I have no idea how to install it. I suppose you have to get rid of your current panel manager and I reckon it to be very well integrated since it's a cooked in thing, so it could be hard?
Well go to the rom section and ask a chef there they should know.
radzix27; Ok, that was my initial thought to deactivate the X-button till I realized I didn't have to.
I've tried these combinations which works for me:
SPB today screen -> X-button -> random panel -> X-button -> back to SPB ms.
within the 3D carousel -> x-button -> random panel -> X-button -> back to SPB ms.
within the 3D carousel -> back to SPB today screen -> x-button -> random panel -> X-button -> back to SPB ms.

I found X2 PM in this thread and it's easy to install -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=587176 but also hang up my Xperia
I didn't use panels so I decided to remap 'X' button. Now I launch start menu with it
X2 Panel Manager fails too
Yeah, I tried X2 Panel Manager too. It's hangs up after 3D in SPB.
It's seems, that this problem has no solution for now.
Ouch! X2 video driver does'nt works too.

You're right :/ Games like Xtrakt, COD 2 doesn't work :/ So it isn't good idea to turn on 3D acceleration in SPB on our Xperia's :/
OK, so with your conclusions there is a sence of like I'm a lier. But I can ensure that SPB ms with 3D acc on combined with xperia panels wont crash the phone if you are using Christians latest clean rom.
...or my fingers are magical and well

Maybe everything works fine on WM6.5? Check Xtrakt or COD2 for be sure that 3D drivers works good
OK, I've tried Xtract and you are right the game wont start but on the other hand neither the phone or the 3D drivers have crashed. I can switch between the gold fish panel and media panel which both are 3D accelerated.
So far there is no fun 3D games for Xperia, Zenonia works that's all that matters for now. I rarely play any games on my phone so I'm fine with it.
May be SPB Bug?
It's seems to be an SPB bug.
And working panels a kind of bug too
I think, that Mobile Shell with 3D feature enabled using video driver in 3D all time.
And, with ATI X2 drivers I have 11 fps in SPB carousel, but with original drivers 60-120 fps.
By the way, does'nt mater 6.1 or 6.5 SYS you have. SPB don't work on my ROM with 21854 SYS (HTC Diamond 2).
I tried to find the file ModelName.txt in windows but there is no such file.
I have Xperia X2 fit the last stock ROM and SPB Shell 3.5.3
The option for 3D acc is not available.
What to do to have 3D?
LOL
Try to buy Xperia X1.
Or try to create file by yourself.
I do the following to avoid freezing my phone when I use SPB Mobile Shell with hardware acceleration:
I placed a shortcut to SPB Mobile Shell on my today screen and I deleted the autostart entry of SPB MS. So when I want to use SPB MS I start it by using this shortcut. If I want to use any of the panels I revert to the today screen and kill the SPB MS process using the task manager of SK Tools. Afterwards I am able to switch panels without crashing my phone.
This procedure may sound a bit complex but if you keep in mind that SPB MS uses approximately 30 MB of ram even when running in the background it makes not really sense to have it running while I use another panel. For me this is the ideal solution and I have never experienced a crash when I switch to another panel after using SPB Mobile Shell with hardware acceleration.
