Here is Kinoma FreePlayer Full where you can view more then 10 videos...
Hey,
Im sorry if this is a really stupid question!
But ive got Core player and kinoma, and all i want to do is stream videos from youtube, but once i start streaming it always opens up the default Windows Media player on my mobile.
I always use browse internet explorer to do this then select the youtube link on the site..
If theres any way of changing the program that gets opened could you please tell me!
Im using the standard Kavana’s 6.1 ROM.
Cheers
Get skyfire and just play them as you would on you pc.
http://get.skyfire.com/
That still doesnt solve my problem, I need to change my Default Windows Media Player on my Mobile to open to another program instead to stream.

Also, I have me trying to view youtube and have used several apps from various threads such as Youtube player, kinomaplayer, 10live, and tmpcp player. Each time I either get file now support or a file error. I am using php registry and was able to change volume slider to use it to scroll. Phone is using WM6.

Strange, I have wm6 on one of my Dash/Excalibur and I'm watching YouTube Videos with my TCPMP player, KinomaFreePlayer{The Best} and the new RTSP video player. It works like a charm with YouTube. Now it's mighty strange that it will not work like a charm on your mobile device, by the way, the YOUTUBE player is for pocketPC devices ONLY, it tells you that in the thread.............!
I cant find a place where I can download rtsp player. The one I download is just a play.dmg.

How come I get error when trying to open a youtube video using KinomaFreePlayer, also does anyone have the full version of this player where I can view more videos then just ten of them.
Hi everybody. I just want to know if I can actually watch Youtube videos on Excalibur or it's an urban legend?
I'm using Ricky's v24 no opera version and I tried to follow the definitive guide (well, not so definitive) to watch Youtube videos (found in this forum using the search), I also tried Htc Streaming Media (a .cab file someone posted here) and none of them worked.
I use Wi-fi to navigate most of the time, since I don't have a data plan. My router has no blocking stuff (I disabled all for testing purposes) and I'm using Internet Explorer to browse m.youtube.com, but so far I got nothing but a "failed to find network" from htc streaming media.
So.... I really don't know what to do.
If anyone does, please, share your knowledge with me. Thanks in advance.
Easiest way is to use Skyfire it's free, also i use CorePlayer to stream of mobile YouTube.

Dude... skyfire is the one.... How come such a software is not a hit? It's almost perfect.... I'm curious about it. I'll try to search for it later, but so far... what a great browser! the best experience I ever had. I wanna say thank you all, for all suggestions posted here, but I'll keep with skyfire.
I use skyfire, and it plays the youtubr videos, but without sound.. any idea?
I use a Program called Vtap. The Program is small and simple it searches youtube videos, myspace videos and more and streams without any problems. If you would like to give it a shot go to http://www.smartphonefreeware.org/download/vtap-0.143

If that floats your boat. Skyfire is a memory hog, it has over heating issues (battery and processor) it will be ad supported (as soon as it is out of beta testing) so look forward to clicking through an ad every page click... na, not worth it to me.
Vtap
I use Vtap by Veevo. It not only shows YouTube but tons of other video on the web. Plays great!

I have to agree with Bupahs... TCPMP is definitely the way to go (if you aren't using Skyfire w/ a high-speed connection). I have yet to experience a player with more crisp, clearer playback than TCPMP. I found that the trick is you have to access the Desktop version of YouTube instead of the mobile version. The mobile version won't allow you to use TCPMP, but the other version will. How can you tell the difference between the two, you may ask? The mobile version will use a black background, but the PC (Desktop) version looks identical to the one you're used to.
I installed HTC Streaming Media and I access my browser through the Java application that should be on your phone (it came with mine) and go to youtube and I'm able to watch videos perfectly fine.

2009 Microsoft Convertion HTC S621 with no app locke on it.
came 6.0 preloaded running 6.1 standard.
kinoma works the best for me, tcpmp and htc streaming never worked. and coreplayer just froze everytime
I tried putting a small video clip on my memory card. When I open it it plays like it's in slow motion, and it's really choppy. The audio for the clip plays in normal speed.
so a few questions...
Is there a best format of video files for my excalibur?
Is there mabey a player better than windows media player?
I hacked my psp a few years back. I was able to download full movies and watch them on it. I may be asking too much... but I'm wondering if it's possible to do this with my phone.
when I'm at work with my phone in my hand the ol' boss doesn't mind. Of course when I'm hanging on to a game system.... the **** hit's the fan!
Here you are a free bit of software that can recode videos http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html download link @ bottom there is lot's of speal...
I use A-One FLV to AVI but it's not free, there is alot of software that can do it.
I recomended SUPER as i know lots of peeps use it, so set the resolution 320x240 keep bitrate down on video larger it is larger output file, audio can be set to mono and again about 64kbit/s and still be fine, .mp4 is a good quality for Mobile video or for even more compression .3gp
Re: Player TCPMP "to which is free" or CorePlayer "the pay version"
I've tried downloading TCPMP. When I try installing it I get a message that the install package isn't designed for my device.
this is where I'm downloading it from.
http://tcpmp.en.softonic.com/pocketpc/download#pathbar
Is there a different version that I need to use?

Try VLC Media Player you will want codecs CCCP is XP & Vista compatable "if you have any other codec packs installed then do not install"
well i actually wanted to start a mobile movie thread
like..i will be encodeing movies for mobiles..which will play without a hitch...and patches...
and uploading them on rapidshare or megaupload..
sooo what say??
what happens if you run out of battery in the middle of a movie, can you fastforward it afterwards and in an "easy" way? If it's possible, it depends on the video format, video player or both?
hi,
i'm looking for an awesome media (video) player for my phone.
i'm looking for a good video player that can play a lot of different file formats.
avi, mpg, mpeg, mp4, wmv, etc.etc.
on my laptop i use VLC, and i really love it.
but i can't find a mobile version of VLC.
anybody has a clue for an awesome videoplayer for my phone?
The latest version of TCPMP plays a whole slew of formats. If you want a media player with alot of functionality, Kinoma Player (shareware) has many different functions. Not sure all the formats it plays.
There's Core Player, a branch of TCPMP that is a pretty smooth video player as well. Finally, DivX has an app for WinMo as well, so you could give that a try.
tcpmp and core player are the best on my opinion
i've looked up tcpmp on the web, and found a page about it on http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-tcpmp-v0-72rc1.html but it doesn't seem to be the right one.
when i instal the cab, the program says on startup "unexpected program error, send crash.txt to the developers......".
so it doesn't run on my pocket pc.
i tought i found the tcpmp website with http://coreplayer.com/ but it costs me 24 bucks.
the free version is very difficult to find.
any ideas?
i found yet another release on this forum.
that one seems to be working a bit....
but the movie quality sucks big time.
the sound is on and off all the time.
the picture is shocking...
it's looks like the phone has to work really hard to let me see half a second each time.
it's like:
the audio........... is not .......... like it's ............. supposed........... to be..............
(and the video is the same).
am i doing sometyhing wrong?
I had to look really hard also for a 6.1 TCPMP. Then on this site there seem to be quite a few different ones. I got mine at http://www.mobilitysite.com/boards/1059593835-post107.html it says it is version 4.0.3. But it is open source so people do whatever they want with it. Mine is pretty ugly to look at, but it has always worked (except for the initial crashing - see below). Would like a nicer looking version.
Which one did you download?
This fixed my crashing "If you are having issues with no video or the crashing issue on the HTC HD2 this may help you, You will need to go into the Video settings and change the Direct Draw --> GDI and it should resolve the issue you were having."
i don't remember which one i downloaded... wnloaded about 5 of them from different sites.
i installed all of them (one at a time) to see which one worked best.
the one i've got is worked the best way... but like i said it's shocky... to say the least.
i'll try the one you just send me.
i don't care for looks, i just care for video quality.
i can't believe that a simple viedeoplayer can be so difficult to find on windows mobile.
isn't the whole idea of mobile windows, the idea that you have a mobile version of windows?
and isn't windows also (largely) used for different kinds of media? e.g. video, music etc...
windows media player is the best...

You can access them from the HTC album tab just like your photos. That, or tap them from explorer.
EDIT: Granted they are in the MPEG-4 format you get from, for example, the Videora converter I linked.

i'm not to sure how good the quality of the file is.
all i know is, it's a 700 mb avi file that plays beautifully on my old laptop with VLC running on win xp.
now i'm trying to play that same file on the video player you linked, but the quality is awefull.
the audio stops and starts playing every few seconds, and the video just 1 frame a second (and every now and then, it skips a few frames to catch up with the audio).
i personally just think that nobody bothered to make a descent video player for win mobile. OR (and please forgive me for saying this), the phone simply sucks totally (mostly because it has win mobile on it....).
