I too am looking fro FM Radio Software but am not sure if this can be achieved without in-built FM detector hardware.
Help please...
I also need to know about the FM Radio.. Because i searched but i found nothing.. please Help us!!
as stated without the fm hardware only way to get fm is to get a headset which include fm
which would not be controlled or anything by the phone but by the headset itself

Hi!
Just got my XDA the other day, and have downloaded Real Player to listen to the radio thru the internet. However, was wondering if therevis another way of getting radio when I'm out of Wi-Fi range? Any plugins or cards out tere that I should know about?
Also, any navigation system tips would be good too!
Thanks very much for all your help!

an FM (or DAB) radio input is the one thing missing from all these devices. I find it hard to believe no-ones sorted this out yet.
Firstly, welcome. a site i use to listen to lots of radio stations is www.live-radio.net not all work, but lots do. n-joy.

Very interesting!!
hmm - only issue with it is that you can't do anything else with the unit while listening (eg read a book/look through the files on your regular SD card. )
I agree it's exactly what you want if FM radio is all you want.
But it's still a shame the unit doesn't have an FM radio in the hardware.

Be careful if you are using usa fm tuners in the uk. They will not tune to "even" frequencies (ie: 88.8 ) but "odd" frequencies are fine (ie: 88.9).
Is that because Americans only program using 1's and us Brits only use good ol' fashioned 0's.
Bloody Micro$oft, you'd have thought they would have sorted this out by now!!!!
Why not buy a set of earphones with a built in FM receiver? Something like this: http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=128177
This one doesn't necessarily look the best but there are plenty out there.
Hi,
My artemis trackball is not working well using FM Radio. I think I messed with the registry. Can somebody please export
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\FMRadio
entries to a .REG file and send me.
It just doesn't select predefined radios by tracking to up and down, but by tracking to left and right It does scan radios. Intrigating...
It happened when I tried to use Diamond FM Radio: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427040
I've already uninstaled the Diamond FM Radio.
Does anybody knows another FM Radio tuner software? I mean with big buttons.
Thank you a lot.
A soft reset have just resolved this trouble. I'm still search for another FM Radio tunners apps.
On HTC.com they list an FM radio as a special feature for the TD2, but its not listed for the TP2.
Can anyone who has received their TP2 confirm if it has an FM radio or not?
Thanks
Hamburg
for now there is no confirm...members are getting the devices in the next few days and will post in the specs thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3845437#post3845437
Hi there,
This is first time i post a thread here so pls kindly help.
Im in Vietnam and have a Tmo Rhod. I did installed FM cab on device storage, it can run but did not find any station. I renamed file FM Radio exe.xxxx.mui with Vietnamese code, soft reset and this app cant works. I know it may be caused by radio frequency in USA is different from Vietnam, but any ideas on this issue to solve?
Hope to have your good solution.
Tks all.

Best way you can unistall it & try other
You know the headphones have to be plugged in for the radio to work, right? The headphone cable functions as the FM antenna.

First of all, as redpoint suggests, the headphone adapter and headphones must be plugged in.
Secondly, I'm not sure what the frequency range of FM radio is in Asian countries. In the US, it runs from 88.0MHz to 108.0MHz. If your radio station doesn't fall in that gap, then it's not going to work for you.
Third, MUI files are basically there for changing the language, not modifying the frequencies of a radio.
My G4 is on its way.
I was wondering if anyone can confirm we can reenable the FM functionality with root?
Such as using the Spirit FM app?
Nobody? Need some help to verify this. Otherwise I have no reason to root..
come on guys, for anyone with a root G4 (At&t, Tmo or Vzn).... it is a quick check.
Spirit1 and Spirit2 say they're for AOSP roms only, so probably not. I'm not going to pay the $9 to find out.
Tried nextradio and it doesn't see the receiver. (Rooted US Tmobile) I believe I earlier possibly saw an item on a hidden menu that referred to the receiver, not sure if this could possibly turn the fm receiver chip back on.)
