you did not use search did you? if you had... you would have come up with a solution in 5 minutes...
anyhow - i hope you know this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
and then read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=450681
you need to put the file from your PC to internal storage - you can do this via bluetooth OR if you can connect the phone as disk drive...
good luck! (and please search! it will save you time )

sorry for not doing 'homework'.
Anyway, according to the 2nd link you gave me, i followed all the instructions and 'suiller's instruction', i still couldnt flash it, the screen keeps showing 'image not found' and ' triggering USB host'. while my phone did not connect to my pc

here you are
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3435475&postcount=71
Extract the RUU_Diamond_HTC_Ship.exe file to a new directory on your PC
Find the RUU_signed.nbh file in this new directory and rename it to Diamimg.nbh
Copy Diamimg.nbh to the root of Internal Storage
Hold in the volume down button + the back button (thats the top right button on the front to the right of the big middle jog control) + soft reset
Follow instructions on screen
When the process is complete (it will say UPDATE SUCCESS) then reset

ok first of all... we need to make sure u have HARD SPL... for that, you need to connect to computer...
try this to make sure it's not a USB cable or port issue...
remove any cable
go to bootloader "enter Bootloader by pushing the red reset button (on the back) while holding volume down key on the side"
you will see some a tri-color screen... and it will read Serial at the bottom... NOW connect USB to computer and wait for a minute and two... the "SERIAL" should now read "USB"...
if this works... then keep the phone connected and follow the HARDSPL instructions from :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211
first post, Section A
if it does not change to "USB" then it's a port / cable issue... try another cable or a diffirent port on your computer...

hi !
1) turn off the phone
2)just hold the camera key (while phone is off) and
3)plug the data cable in the phone (while computer on, and cable linkedto it)
4) you're in bootloader mode
enjoy
thanks, that does indeed enter the bootloader.
but now i need the trick how to update it from the sd-card. i copied all files from the extracted xxxship.exe but it only updates with the help from a pc.
maybe i need to rename the nbh file to something different. will try that now.
HI
if U wanna update with SD card,u have to unlock your Excalibur(not to use SDA_applicationUnlock)...And the Rom is different from Ruu...So...give up...Maybe someone work for HTC could help U...

Thank you rajivshahi for your answer and attention.
I had try all the methods that I find in hole of internet!!
also I tried your suggstted method. I was connect my phone with ans without SIM and memory to each USB port of my (and another) PCs, I changed my USB cable for several times, I also tried Uni_bootloader program and MTTY but they didn't work (because there is no USB connetion with my UNI and my PC)
I just keep crying!!!!!!
Have you tested doing Doc format?
Hope it helps,
If the device is not recognised by PC at the same time as Serial not changing to USB, I would think your USB port is no longer attached as it should and can cause the problem you described. From time to time USB port might still feel and look secure on mainboard, it will even charge the device, however, when it comes to AS and USB connection to PC, it will not connect properly.
That, or your PC USB or motherboard are malfunctioning. Try other USB devices in the same ports.
My PC's USB ports are work properly because as you told enigma1nz, I had test them with another devices
For the DOC format method: there is no USB port for connecting with MTTY!
Soooooo amazing!
(thanks for all your answers)
So, it means there is no way for me
hey,
have you disabled (unckeck) USB connection for ActiveSync/WMDC at PC?
do it now or USB port will not be available for mtty.
also please make sure that you installed XP sync driver under vista incase you're trying from vista.
follow the same -
1. unckeck USB connection for as/wmdc at pc
2. reset the device by pressing reset button
3. set bl mode (if not there already)
4. connect usb cable
5. start mtty ...
Hi Tomal, first I have to say: Thank you for your amazing roms. they are so fast, nice and stable. I'm one of the biiiig fan of your roms.
seconed: yes I was disabled the USB connection and also kill ir from task manager. but my Uni is still deeaaaaaaad
somehow I have a feeling that something is wrong with the usb port in device. may be connection is broken or something...
Hi everyone,
finally I had to send my Universal to doctor! , he says that I can load your device from SD card, and boot up it, (flashing card)
!!
I was wondered! what is flashing card! (load from SD card without any PC!)
Do any one have some information about this method!!!!

Yep, it does look like your device's USB being a culprit.

Finally I beleve that my Uni is dead and I have to say goodbye to it
I'm going to buy HTC Advantage X7510, but there is one question:
Can I upgrade its WM 6.1 to 6.5 ?

no usb connection

my diamond stucks in the bootlaoder when i put into the pc i don't get usb, the pc says qualcomm cdma technologies msm searh driver but i dont have it please help
Sounds like you need to flash from your phone as per instructions from other thread:
First make sure you flash Hard SPL then
Extract the RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_2.03.401.2_Radio_Signed_Dia mond_52.51.25.26_1.09.25.23_Ship.exe file (or whatever one you are wanting to flash) to a new directory on your PC
If it says rom image not found then you may need to follow the thread about stuck at 0-5% and use NBH util to mod the image to change the model ID

Hi
It is look like you are trying to flash a GSM rom to a CDMA diamond. you should read the CDMA section about your problem. Do not try any GSM roms on the CDMA device, as far as i know GSM rom won't work.
Good luck

retry enter usb....
don't find a map in explorer to
what can i do is the phone for the bin
help me please
Your device in bootloader state. Can you see the connection changes from serial to usb? If confirmed so you have a good chance to go further!
Do you have a appropriate active sync driver on your computer? Did it work before? If confirmed you should activate - Connection Settings - so the PC can detect your HTC device by usb
You know the rest of the procedure!
Deleted post
i dont see any progress, i sopose i've dont have the driver,
the bootloader stays on serial and the active sync didn't find the connection

Hi
Disconnect phone from usb then reconnect to usb.
In pc install activesync driver which will be found by pc itself.
If this is not successfull left diamond connected and restart the pc it will automatically install activesync driver.
then flash a rom from pc.
Good luck

made a mistake using mtty

Whilst reflashing my diamond touch with a new rom at the stage where you disconnect and hold vol down and back button to start the rom off I had the back off and the battery fell out. Now if I do the above it comes up saying no image found then says trigger usb host and red flash saying usb retry enter usb. Have I meesed my phone up or is there a way to get the image back any help will be welcomed. I can still connect via mtty but the device doesn't come up in my computer anymore or wont connect via active sync.

dont worry .. nothing is lost
bring up the phone in bootloader .. vol down reset
connect the usb cable, on screen should write USB (instead of serial)
and now just run the customRUU.exe file that is usualy in archive you downloaded the rom, and just follow the instruciotions.
(like you are flashing without mtty! from computer)

yes..youre right..i did the same thing, after i've mtty (after type task 8), i forgot to initiate ROM flash and did hard reset+clear memory, so the image (diamimg.nbh) in movinand memory is erased.
So, we still can flash with custom RUU. bring your device in bootloader, you will see serial mode change into usb, then execute custom RUU.exe. follow the instruction.. but make sure your battery is enough..
Hope it help you..
Thanxs Vicai, did as your post recommended and working fine now, thanxs for the quick response

[Solved] Disk drive mode doesnt open

Hello there
new to HOX. Came from the almighty DHD!
So, I noticed there is no disk drive mod in JB any more, right ?
Is there some kind of fix for that ?
Till now I used the recovery mount usb to use HOX as storage and put files there.
But now I get error in windows
" F:\
Cant find application" ( something like this, I dont remember exactly)
Windows recognizes the disk drive and I can see it in my computer but it pops up an error when I try to open it.
One time changing the USB cable helped.
But now it back again and changing wont help.
Happened to someone ? Any ideas ?
BTW I'm on ordroid V9.
Same issue here. I'm on the stock rom and want to move to custom rom. But ot able to copy the rom to the phone as the storage is not accessible anymore.....
Feels like i'm stuck..... any solutions????
Try This
