its like the parts of an RAR archive... this is in "7-zip" format.. download that software.. and keep the 3 parts in a same folder..

unpack with 7zip... install 7zip after right click on file then 7-Zip option then extract... simpel like that

I've downloaded the file.. topaz.rar and after extracting I'm having 3 files with .raw extension. Pls anybody let me know how to use these files to flash rom. I've always used DIAMIMG.nbh files to flash it.
Pls also confirm if this ROM can be flashed on HTC Touch Diamond.
i'm using a mac...so don't know if its windows recognisable format..

The rom is for Topaz. You cannot flash it to your Diamond.
What you can do is grabbing the packages extracted and adding theim to an existing Diamond kitchen.
The rom is posted only for porting purpose !

I noticed that Microsoft has just released translated version of the Windows Mobile 6 emulator images.
I tried to copy some files from the WM6 Pro French ROM (especially *.mui files) to add them into my cooked ROM to make a "french" ROM. It seams to work but the thing is that I'm able to extract only few files from ROM, I don't have permissions to copy the other files.
Is there any way to extract any ROM file from emulator image? I tried to copy them using Total Commander, Resco Explorer, RAPI, itsutils, without success... the problem occurs always with the same files. I noticed that many mui files were in used by system processes, that should be the problem.
It would be great if anyone knows how to get a file in emulator image !

Can you make a short explain on how to extract files from the emulator (if this is the way you obtain the files for Black 3) ?

Launch the emulator and configure it run with Active Sync.
I did this some time back to extract the sound files from the old PPC2003 image. (There may be a much easier way. Active Sync is also very slow for transferring all the files in the ROM.)

no i didnt get he files from the SDK images.
the SDK images were updated to suit the ROM Build and KERNEL of black 3.

Understanded.
But the really port that open the localiced images for us is the posibility to traslate one ROM (black 3.0, for instance) into any language, if i am not wrong.

actually i ve had these images for a few weeks or so.. the build in the sdk refresh is exactly one build lower than our current release.
using this build would be a step backwards..

Hi again.
I connected the emulator with PC using ActiveSync, but isn't possible to copy all the files in the ROM, cause same of them are blocked by the system if i access trought AS.
Is there any other way to extract all the content of the .BIN image?

How to extract the files from an image emulator for noobs:
1- Dowload the images that you want here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...26f-a913-4f370a65a582&DisplayLang=en#filelist
2- Install them in your computer.
3- Take the image that you want from the installation folder.
For example, if you have downloaded the images for ESN language look in the folder "C:\Archivos de programa\Windows Mobile 6 SDK\PocketPC\Deviceemulation\0C0A":
The image for Hermes is: PPC_ESN_GSM_VR.BIN (I'm not 100% sure)
- Download Tadzio's imgfs excelent tools in:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298327
- Unzip the tools along with the image in any folder.
- Rename the image to A.BIN (to make the next commands easier to type).
- Open a D.O.S. command window and perform these commands:
> NBSPLIT -emu A.BIN
(it generates two files: A.BIN.EXTRA and A.BIN.PAYLOAD)
> IMGFSFROMNB A.BIN.PAYLOAD IMGFS.BIN
(it generates the file IMGFS.BIN)
> IMGFSTODUMP IMGFS.BIN
And that's all. Files are dumped in /Dump directory. NOW IT'S TIME TO TRANSLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

download a official rom first, then use winrar extract all files, you will find ruu_sighed.nbh. use NBHextract or ROMbaker you can extract .nb file from this .nbh one. that is your os!

I have a question here.. if I download the official rom from my vendor (TIM) italian it's in a .exe and once it lunches it does the rest.. is there a way to extract it from there.

You can unpack it with Winrar..
Open winrar and point to the .exe file, and u will be able to unpack all the files, as were it a normal rar archive.
i uploaded SPH-M4650 WM6.0 korean ROM.
How can i extract this rom file?

With this flash and extrom package i ran into the eternal clean boot, setup, customize, reset....over and over.... i tried flashing it twice... i even tried replacing the extrom but no luck....guess third try was not a charm

I forgot to mention dont use the included appsboot.mbn, use the default one in the 23506 flashing tools.

What files from this download do we copy over to the 23506 firmware directory other than Flash.bin file?
I have done something wrong. Here is what I have done so far.
1-Downloaded Beta 3 Flashing Tool
2-Downloaded S200_28002_B3
3-Downloaded EUU_Acer_s200_28002_Rafel
4-Downloaded EXTROM from the Beta 3 forum page
5-Placed the EXTROM in the Rafel folder along with the appsboot.mbn from the Beta 3 flashing tools.
6-Installed ROM
Now I seem to be in a boot loop. The first thing that shows is Clean Boot then the newer windows screen(not the orange one) and then it wants to install Acer Cabs. After everything is installed it reboots and starts all over.
So, what file did I not put in the Rafel folder or should I have used a different EXTROM or appsboot?

I don't understand why you don't upload full and correct files?
Why we must use other files? It's no so hard but all right files together and upload them. Every time it's like puzzle. Think witch parts are correct together.

Is anyone having the issue where the HTC Sense screen is about 1/8" to low? I tried disabling Sense, installing the Suite file posted on the Beta 3 page, restarting and then reenable sense, but nothing changed.
Any ideas..?
How hard is to dowload the rom, then dowload the hdubli 23506, extract it to a folder, then extract the flash.bin from the 1.00 beta 3 rom,place it in the same folder were you extract it the 23506 FILES and flash, is that hard?

No it's not hard, if I understand which files are tools and which ones rom. One time you write: "also use the provided partition.mbn". Second time: "dont use the included appsboot.mbn".

You can extract it with WINRAR or another arhive programm.
Another question is how to rename this 2 files (RUU_signed.nbh & UEFI_signed.nbh) what they can be flashed via Y-cable?
