My dveice has the following ROM Ver
ROM Ver. 1.31.00WWE
ROM Date 12/13/04
Radio Ver. 1.02.00
Protocol Ver. 1337.32
ExtROM Ver. 1.31.920WWE
The above version dont have the Truefax whereas I understand the UK version comes with KSE Truefax 2.09.
Is there a way out to upgrade or cook up my ExtROM so as I can have the Fax on my devices.
I am sure there are genius people on the forum to resolve my problem

It should work on your device, based on the rom version you have.
Fax is a service that your provider either has or has not. So you need to find out if it is supported. And no you cant ask us you need to ask your provider.

KSE TF Works fantastically with PPC and PPC Phone devices.I hv been using for about a year and half with AirTel network, in Home as well as roaming networks...
Pls let me know what problems are being faced..will solve it.

Everytime I try to send a fax it goes into flight mode and says no carrier detected.
I used Hutch Delhi. Any clue why it happens.

I have installed KSE Truefax - previously I could send faxes, but after since I did the rom upgrade (1.40) if I want to send a fax I get to the screen where it says Querying modem.... It stays there for +- a minute & then returns to the desktop without sending the fax. I have to soft reset otherwise my pda is very slow.

It's unlikely without an original ROM update by the manufacturer.
However, what model etc is it? Do you have a webpage we can look at to get info about it.

"Microsoft Windows Mobile(TM) 2003".
Are you sure it's running .net? Could you post a screenshot?
As I said before, it's unlikely to be upgradeable without a full rom update from Medion - my father has a medion GPS PDA, and that's running WM2003. Maybe you could grab a rom from another wm2003 Medion and try patching it together, but unlikely!

sorry i am a bit of a beginner with all this but very confused. I want to upgrade my wm5 loox n500 with windows mobile 6 so i can run certain apps. I have read all the forums and i have downloaded the rom upgrades which say they will change my pda to wm6 - file appears to be os_122u.nbf. however after doing this which all appeared to go successfully my apps will still not run and it appears when i check that i am still on wm5
what am i doing wrong ? have i downloaded the wrong image / duff image ?
is there a dummy guide to upgrading the n500 anywhere ? is it the same for upgarde purposes as a n520 ?
any help appreciated

just by way of update after supposedly upgrading to wm6 it now says i am on version 5.1.464,
rom revision p224452-p919-v122
rom date 2006-09-20
bootloader revision 1.05
if this means anything to anybody ?

another thing you can see is if you got threaded sms's it's one of the

i have a pocket loox n560 and i tried the newplowe update to 6.1 which is nice. But all the software i bought and registered lost its registration now.
I guess it has to do with the Device ID. Is it possible to change it somehow? i would like to use my same ID i had with wm5.0 before so that the software will continue to work with the wm6.1 upgrade.

The device ID used by software is based on several factors, not every software author would use the same variables.
This makes it nearly impossible to fix your problem for all the softwre you bought.
What you could do is to request a new serial for all your software (it's tedious I know), explain that you have updated the firmware and your serial isn't working anymore.
It is really annoying, It happens to all of us..

I used the Topaz-HardSPL_V5_00R5_183HSPL for my Topaz device and work successful and install new ROM 6.5 then my friend give me his Topaz to do the same .Now I can't do the same there's masege appear ( Spl in not for commercial used........) the dice doesn't accept the official room also ??
then my friend try again in his PC but nothing work Please advice and help to fix this problem
