Jabra BT8010 stereo unit individual sale? - General Accessories

Heya, I just recently bought a Jabra BT8010 but I failed to realize that the bluetooth was only sold with the main piece but I was told I can find the 2nd (the stereo unit) piece somewhere. I've been hunting on google and all that for a long time and have yet to find anything. Do you guys have any suggestions? I want to use the stereo bt capabilities of my Fuze.

this unfortunate place called ebay. It was my fault really, I wasn't reading it carefully... I'm just looking to buy the 2nd piece.. it looks like it's a discontinued product though

Jabra BT 8010
Did you find where to get the second earphone for the Jabra BT 8010? I've just purchased a unit and it only has the mono piece. Thanks.

no luck so far.. I'm going to take the jump and buy the full set... I'm probably gonna sell the mono piece on ebay

Bluetooth headset recommendations...

I'm looking at the idea of getting a bluetooth headset for riding my bike (the self propelled kind, not a motorbike). I'm not keen on the idea of paying ~$AU100 for something I find is useless, so Im after people's experiences and suggestions.
I'm mostly looking at this for listening to music, so first up if that's a no-go, then I need to know that (I'll be using a BlueAngel).
So, yeah... Any suggested models and any to avoid?
i'm using bluetake
http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT420EX.htm
i'm happy with it
I'm using a pair of Motorola HT820s (kinda heavy, but your ears go numb after a while and you forget it), which serve me well and sound good, but has a CSR chipset so i get easy clipping for A2DP, my coworker uses some BlueWalker ones and he says they're nice, they're lighter than the Motos, but still loud enough. A2DP on those, don't know the chipset though.
Unfortunately, for <$100, you're going to have to go for some dodgy yum-cha solution from Hong Kong, off ebay for 5c and $45 in shipping.
I've been looking around, and decided on the HP Bluetooth Stereo Headphones. I don't want voice functionality, and the HT820's look a little big. I ordered them yesterday, but there are reports of people getting them working with my phone (O2 Mini). Don't look dorky, but don't have wires. Only problem is that people report that the neck cracks, but with enough whining you can get them replaced through warranty. Toshiba are also selling the same headphones rebadged, but they're not out in Australia (yet).
Oh, those HP headphones are $99 from HP, free shipping (for the time being).

Not necessarily; CompUSA occasionally has the Moto HT820 in the $75-$80 range. I picked up a set there for $70 about 6 weeks ago.
nXZen Plus from Gennum works great
I picked up the nXZen Plus after listening to their demo on their web site of their Extreme noise canceling. Works great, lots of extra pieces to make it fit comfortable. Also supports stereo and comes with a extra Mini plug for your second ear. plug the wire from the mini plug into the back of the Bluetooth Headset & you have stereo. Comes with both AC charger & USB charging cable. Bought mine from Compusa. The sales clerk did not know they had them. I show him their web site with the demo. Cost was $ 129.95. I would not have paid that much for my first bluetooth headset, but this is my third and last headset.
Me and Jed D`Lagged were talking $AU, not $US. Jed D`Lagged didnt mention currency, but did mention Australia. I specified $AU in my first post also.
I was going to order the HP headphones earlier today, but didnt because I decided I also want to buy a laptop from HP aswell, but cant afford to this week.
This one named iTech has great sound quality and is in a small form factor, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9121031457. I used to use iPhono one, the sound is good but the size is big so this iTech is the only one I found that it's best for both worlds.
I got the HP headphones, and they work "great".
There are still issues (cuts off start of song while it reconnects, occasionally skips) but I'm pretty sure those are stack issues as opposed to issues with the headphones.

any good stereo headsets? pls recommend

i have a ****ty headset.. ears hurt, head hurts, n everything else juss seems annoying.. i love smaller more comfortable, stereo headsets.. any recommendations.. please give me links from ebay if the item is available over there.. all feedback is highly appreciated..
Try the motorola s9 stereo blue tooth headsets. I know they are expensive and all, but they are pretty decent looking for a stereo bluetooth headset, most of which are have been pretty ugly so far. Here are the reviews. I am planning to buy one myself.

I know you might not be looking for wireless headset but I think they will become very popular in near future, given that most mp3 phones now support that a2dp functionality. Anyway thats my 2 c.
I don't know, but what do you people think of this one?
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4301
The site also has many other OEM bluetooth, if you're looking, but I wonder about this headset.
Edit: yea, i stupidly bought it, tell u it doesn't work, cause of 11 pin usb.
Doesn't work

Hello. Unfortunately this type of headset (with mini usb) does not work with Prophet. I tried with a RAZR adapter and no sound... The link also does not included Dopod 818 (aka Prophet).
My recomendation is Jabra BT620s http://cgi.ebay.com/New-OEM-Jabra-Handsfree-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset-BT620s_W0QQitemZ140151107677QQihZ004QQcategoryZ133228QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
This is a BT Headset, the sound is very good and work fine with Propert.
I've this one and recomended.
See you.
Anyone know good ones that i can buy online, with wire.
Stereo headset
I did a lot of looking around before I bought my headset, and in the end chose the Plantronics Pulsar 590a. It kicks ass! It comes with a REALLY nice case, a headphone jack bluetooth transmitter (for your cassette walkman), an extra microphone extention arm, an inflight cable for use without Bluetooth, a wall and USB charger and a nice desktop stand.
Performance with the Prophet is great. If I'm listening to music and a call comes in, it switches over to Hands-free mode and I can touch the phone button on the earpiece to answer. After the call is over, the music comes back automatically. The earpiece remote also allows for voice-dail, switching tracks and mute/volume adjustment.
I did manage to fry mine by trying to charge it with the USB charger cable plugged into a car cigarette lighter style USB adapter. After that they would no longer charge. I didn't want to deal with the company I bought them from, so I called Plantronics direct. They wanted a scanned copy of the recipt, and when I sent it, I recieved an answer which said that a new unit has been shipped, and to please dispose of the old one. 2 days later I had my new headphones! Now that's service!
The only other complaint that I have with the product is the blue light on the earpiece. It kind of draws a lot of attention, but I love them! Best headset I ever owned!
Mine is a Dell BH200.. works fine..
expansys.com have tons of converters so one can use any 3.5mm minijack headsets
though not with mic i think
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motorola-MO...8?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1194653052&sr=8-1
this one seems insanely cheap not sure if it's good or even works with htc pdas but cheap
i use a coverter so i can use ordanery headphones for music, not to bothered about using it for calls
pairing bt headset for music
hi. I need help. Have bought a cheepo BSH01 BT stereo headset. Looks fine and works perfectly with calls. Can't get it to work with music though. Any clues? I have a O2 converted to PM300 WM5 (ROM 2.13.9.21 ITA radio 02.07.20). Something to do with a2dp? any player that I might use instead of wmp?
Thanks
i have buyied this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350027412931
what you think?

Handset -> Bluetooth A2DP -> FM Transmitter -> Car Radio?

I would like to know if there is a device out there that will receive a bluetooth A2DP signal from my handset, then transmit the audio over FM so I can listen to it in my car?
I think this sort of thing is my only option as my car radio does not have an auxilery connection, aslo using a mini USB to 3.5mm jack is not an option as my handset is always cradled and charging in the car.
Any ideas?
I had discovered this item in search a couple of months ago, however I haven't tried since it is almost as expensive as a new radio!
http://gadgeteer.org.uk/2007/11/20/venturi-mini-bluetooth-handsfree-with-fm-transmitter/
I'm now thinking about disconnecting the tape input on my radio and using it as an auxiliary for my phone...

Thanks that was pretty much what I was after, however you are right it is expensive. For that price I reckon I could pick a head unit with an auxilery input quite easily if not bluetooth built in.
Try Parrot PMK5800.I use it on my Kaiser. No more than $100.00 on Ebay. Works very well on my car FM Radio.
Here is another similar device that you're looking for:
http://satechi.com/Bluetooth-Handsfree-Fm-Transmitter-for-Car/M/B000KJBNEI.htm
I had the previous version of it, the very first one they launched, which did not have A2DP yet, only BT phone calls. My experienced was pretty ugly with the quality of the mic as well as the quality of the FM sound. But it seems from various on-line review they have improved the product significantly.
The device posted above (Venturi Mini) is more superior in my opinion, it closes all of the gaps the satechi device had. I just looked at it, and wow.. this answers all of my previous concerns with the Satechi device: Caller ID (very smart thought to transmist it to the radio display, which almost FM radio has), phone book, audio out!
If the mic quality is good, then this device is perfect!
All of these devices will do the job, just a little more expensive than I would have hoped for, ideally they wouldnt have a handsfree option as I already use a Parrot CK3300 for that (with GPS).
how about this...
Why get an adapter when you can get a bluetooth stereo for you car?
http://www.engadget.com/2006/07/19/sony-s-mex-bt5000-car-stereo-with-bluetooth/
There are about 6 brands out there that I've found so far, however I'm not sure which is the best at this point.
Jabra BT320s
I recently bought a Jabra BT320s from orange accessories for under a tenner. This looks like a small MP3 player which has a 3.5mm jack for headphones (they supply you with a basic set but you can use any headphones you like). I had a small FM transmitter with a 3.5mm jack for the car which transmits to the radio.
I wondered what would happen if I used a2dp to the bt320S and plugged the transmitter into the BT320s jack.....well it worked! My wizard was playing over bluetooth(stereo) to the transmitter then FM to the radio. Quality? Not fantastic but it did work OK. The headset and transmitter hide out of the way in my armrest.
All for about 15 quid (not including wizard and car stereo)
Barry
My favourite is Venturi mini, so I am asking anybody who has Touch Cruise. Is it cooperative (on their pages is written just TyTN, Touch, Tcou Dual, and not Touch Cruise)?
Jabra sp700
I like the jabra sp700 which you can now buy for $60 on the net. just go to ebay and put in the name of the device. You can also check it out on you tube. Im sure everyone will be getting one of these

Headphones

ok so lately i notice the headphone becoming... sucky! and i have a lot of headphones for motorola and other cells around the house but they wont work on my dash. is there any headphones that works well with the dash?
You can get a $3-5 adapter from places like ebay and amazon that will let you plug normal headphones into the HTC jack.
Hey, I ordered one of these recently. Actually, my s620 still hasn't come, but that's another story. My accessories will be here on time.
I think I decided that this was the cheapest one that shipped from within the U.S.
http://www.handhelditems.com/touch-p3450-stereo-headset-speaker-adaptor-p-14874.html
It was $5.84 shipped.
edit: i just realized you might be looking for something with a mic? the one I linked to is just to plug in 3.5mm headphones.

Sorry about that. I missed that you wanted a mic. I've never been able to use those wired headsets. They won't stay in my ears. I'd much rather use my own headphones and go bluetooth for talking.

but dude...look at your ears...i mean, your avatar clearly shows your grossly disfigured head as well as your big ass shrek ears...
quite right, my child

use existing 3.5mm headphones via A2DP?

Does an A2DP adapter exist that I can plug my headphones into so that I can use them w/my phone over bluetooth? I've already got some nice Etymotic ear buds, so I'm wondering if there's an adapter out there I could pair them with? I just did ~10mins of preliminary Googling w/o success.
it's all in the searching
Bleh. I wasn't looking for the correct thing. Searching for an "A2DP receiver" got me where I wanted to go. Now if I can only just find one made by a reputable company...

How about you check the one from SE, the HBH-DS200
And they have others as well
Motorola S705 Soundpilot. I bought mine over a year ago to use with my Razr2, now use it with my S621. You can skip back and forth on songs, pause, change volume, it has a screen on it with caller id, and built in fm radio. Uses mini usb charger, and 3.5mm earbuds. Retail was like $115, I got mine online for $50 n.i.b.
My first post!
