need urgent help - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV ROM Development

I had my phone on and it locked up last night. I took out the battery and put it in and the diamond wouldn't turn on.
I plugged it into my computer and the Touch Diamond logo appears for a few seconds, then goes away, then reappears again then goes away. this continues endlessly.
i got my phone to go to the red/green/blue screen which shows my spl number and such. i tried to reinstall a rom, which seemed to work.
after it clears 100% it shows the "touch diamond" logo and redoes the loop mentioned above.
im lost and need my phone badly. any ideas?

Hi
Did you see tri colour bootloader? what are the reading on the tri colour screen?
Without more details we cannot help
Give more details about the spl version and the rom you are flashing
Good luck

diam100 mfg 64m
spl-1040olinex
microp-diam led v11
psox-diam stage_pvt 0x30
i got to here by doing the bootloader button code. it did not just go to tri-coulr
1 more thing. it only will turn on if plugged in.

Well the good news is .....It's not Bricked
Does it say USB at the bottom when plugged into PC?

yes mam!?????

I had this kind of problem with a WINGS. It was a battery fault, not having enough power to fully run the phone at startup. Worked ONLY connected, but with endless reboot. No way to start without connection.
I 've sent the device to HTC (without battery, as usual) and they send it back asking to change the battery. And worked!

i dont think thats the problem. i might put this on the car charger in a bit.

threw it on the dc charger. no luck. i might drive around a bit to get it charged. any other ideas?????

with it turning on hard reset im sure its possible with the device actually turn on try and enter into bootloader mode and flash it to the stock rom...
as i say im not to sure but worth a try.....

to get to tri-coloured screen, just reset and press the volume down key down flash the default stock rom should be fine!!!

I just got to bootloader and tried updating the ROM. it finishes but after install it renters the loop.

fixed!!!!!!! one of the gold prongs on the battery connector was bent. bent it back n it works now.

I told you, It was the BATTERY!

FIXED NOW!
Need help.
I burned the new Kavana ROM. everything was working ok.
placed my microSD and the device didn't recognize it, so i rebooted.
upon reboot the device got stuck on the white HTC screen.
pulled battery
tried again, rebooted, past the HTC screen to the Windows Mobile welcome screen but freeze again. hard reboot didn't respond.
pulled battery, then turned back on. device didn't even turn on!
tried several times with/without battery hooked up to power , and with/without SIM and/or microSD (all possible combinations) and nothing.
had lunch
went back to it and the device magically booted it but after the white HTC screen i got a blue screen asking about error from last reboot. said yes to correct. rebooted went past white HTC and into Windows mobile welcome screen and froze again.
repeated the process several times and finally got to the blue screen again asking about error from last boot, this time said 'no' and device continued boot in a white screen without HTC logo and froze.
all hard reset attempts were unsuccessful (if i'm doing it right: hold two soft keys and then power button).
now the device boots to the white HTC screen and then is stuck.
what to do?
edit: got the hard reset to work and reconfigured my phone. i only noticed the black screen for a split second because my Dash has issue that it thinks that the green send button is being pressed all the time (anyone know how to fix that?).
Thanks
Find your original rom in sticky, go into bootloader and flash original rom, then flash to wm6.1.
have the same issue!!... did you fixed? the main problem is activesync is not running so how do i install another ROM?
Active sync doesnt have to be working aslong as u got ur s621 pluged in and u wait for a few seconds before starting the ROM it will work.

Trying to flash new ROM - screen has displayed 'Loading...' for about 2 hours now

Hi,
I'm worried I may have bricked my Diamond.
I am trying to update the ROM to Macadam v1.2, and had already put Hard-SPL 1.4 (signed) on.
As per Method 2 in this thread, I put diamimg.nbh in the internal memory root folder and soft-reset the device whilst holding down Vol-Down and Back. Quite what happened next, I am not entirely sure; something appeared on the screen mentioning moviNAND (I imagine it was asking me whether I wanted to flash the ROM or not) but it disappeared very quickly (probably because I was still holding Vol-Down and Back) and was replaced by a plain white screen with 'Loading...' on it in blue letters.
This was 2 hours ago, and it still says 'Loading...'. From what I can see, the ROM flashing should take a few minutes. What's happening? Is it OK? What should I do?
Thanks, Michael
try a reset..... it should come back as before.
is 'Macadam v1.2' a signed rom?? you might require the unsigned 'developer' Hard-SPL

First flash your phone with the attached HSPL (thanx to OliNex) and then flash Macadam's ROM.
OK, right now I'm just trying to get the phone working again!
The Loading screen didn't show any sign of going away, so I stopped waiting. here's the situation:
If I go to the bootloader, I get the following
Code:
DIAM300 MFG 64M
SPL-1.30.OliNex
MicroP_Diam (LED) v11
PSOC-Diam STAGE_PVT v0x32
Serial
If I let it start up normally, it shows the 02 Welcome splash screen, but doesn't get past it. No ROM versions are shown in the bottom-right corner.
If I hard-reset, the restoration happens instantly and then gets stuck on the splash screen again.
If I try to reset with Vol Down and Back again, it gets stuck on Loading... as before.
I don't know what to do now, as I can't ActiveSync to the device; the DiamonCustomRUU.exe cannot make a connection. Help!?
As to whether Macadam was signed, I had hoped it was!

Once you get into the bootloader (hold volume down and press reset with stylus), all you have to do is connect the USB cable. The "serial" will change to "USB" and you'll be able to flash my previously attached SPL1.93. Next do the same thing again, only then flash with Macadam's ROM. PM me if you have any trouble.
Weird! I swear I tried that before and it didn't work! Cheers!
Yes, cheers, it's all working now!

Desire hangs at bootup screen and just vibrates a few times..:( (broken??)

Hey!
Im new to this forum but there seems to be a lot of experts here so i thought i'd try and see if anyone could help me!
Yesterday i put my desire to charge and after one hour i came back and it was showing the boot screen! The white background with the 3 green letters HTC! so i took out the battery and put it in again and restarted the phone but it only gets to that screen vibrates like 10 times and then hangs there! tried waiting for it for 30 min but nothing...
So then i tried to hard reset it and cleared the storage! but afterwards still the same!
Also when in "recovery mode" i sometimes see some green text flashing by for just a sec saying something like "warning...no image...."
Everything is in its original state, i havent rooted or reflashed it or anything... but i am willing to do so if it can solve my problems since warranty matters in my case will take ages!
The phones language is Swedish btw!
Can anyone help me?? its first now that u realize how much the phone means to you Miss my desire!
it sounds like the firmware is somehow corrupted. If you can boot the phone by pressing power and volume down, this will take you to the bootloader. From here you should be able to root the handset by following any number of threads here or on modaco!
Then I'd go Here and install this recovery. From then on you can choose a custom or stock rom to install.
You need to know though that rooting will void your warranty.
Have you also tried booting the phone normally with the SD card removed?

Possible Brick? Need urgent help!

Okay,
So I've read through previous thread about people's "bricked" HOXs. I've read the appropriate fix threads but nothing works for me.
I am now stuck in what seems a bootloop. When connected to a power source, the phone stays in bootloader and the red LED light stays ON. It doesn't flash, it's just solid. Also, when either end of the USB cable is disconnected, it stays on. I can't boot to recovery, or get stuck at the splashscreen to charge up. Battery is below 20%, so fastboot flashing doesn't work, and also can't install RUU on it. Whenever I power down from bootloader, it powers back on automatically at the "HTC Quietly Brilliant" screen with red text underneath saying something about this build being for development purposes only. Also, I relocked bootloader in a hope to run RUU, but only realised after relocking that battery was at a low level.
I have had two sleepless nights now, and I'm hitting the hay tonight. I am willing to try anything when I wake up to fix my phone. If anybody can help, it would be extremely grateful! Sorry about the length, I tried to explain in as most detail as possible.
If I have missed anything, please mention it and I'll let you know.
Many thanks in advance.

One of my friend was in the same situation and this method helped:
Download this:Android.zip
Unzip somewhere into your pc.
Download this:Battery.bat
Take the Battery.bat into the Android.zip folder
Connect your HOX with the pc(bootloader/fastboot),then run the battery.bat file.
Whait while your device will be charged enough(it needs 1-2 hours).
When it is charged you can push recovery,or run RUU-as your liking...

Help! It wants to live, but won't go past splash

Phone's been slowly giving me more and more issues. Today I was using it fine, turned off the screen, a bit later, tried turning it on and nothing. This has been a common occurrence, about once a day I have to do a battery pull or plug it in to make the screen turn on, then all is normal. Battery pull got it to boot to the splash screen, but then nothing. Plugged it in, and nothing. Left it plugged it in for about an hour, tried again, still nothing. Unplugged and tried powering on, nothing. Pulled the battery again, and could only get to the splash screen. I'm running JB Sourcery, and have the one selected where the apple rots and then it spells out droid. I get through that and then it does nothing else.
Info: just tried again, had to pull the battery, then I could get the google logo to pop up, but that was it.
Info the 2nd: plugged it in for 2 hours, the graphic showed it fully charged. So I tried booting it and again, same response..gets through the boot splash screen, but goes black after. Pressing power button does nothing, doesn't even get the charge graphic to show up.
Info the 3rd: I left it be this time thinking maybe it was just really laggy or something, but after 15 minutes, still nothing. But I can feel a bit of heat as if it is on.
Info the 4th: I can get into bootloader and recovery fine. I was even able to make a backup (only thing I could think to do in there that would take some time and not risk screwing it up more) So it's not a battery issue, seems to be something with the rom.
Please help
Even though the phone is rooted and custom rom, can I take it back to Verizon? I've only had the phone since December. If I could do that, is there any way to get all the pics off of it first?
try to flash stock image from google

deja vu.....million times.
with a little search i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
Was able to wipe data/cache and re-flash the rom. Seems to be working for now. I think I'll go back to stock (thanks for the link samersh) and see if I'm still having issues.
