Axim x50v wm2003 a00 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hello,
i have a german Dell AXIM X50V VGA and want to flash the WM6.1 image on it. In the description of the image is a note:
Code:
You can only flash your x50v with these roms, if your device is running WM5 aku 2.3.1 or higher. If you attempt to flash over a WM2003 bootloader, you will brick your device.
but can somebody tell me how i get this WM5 aku 2.3.1 running on my X50V? And where is the download?
Trying some images of the board, shows the message that the language is not supported.
Please can anybody help me?
Thx

Axim X50 Mobile 5.0 upgrade - LE and ME versions? What's the difference?
le or me
one is for the middle level unit and the other for the basic model. not sure if the rom is any different.
you give the dell rom (.img) here. i may have bricked my x50, but can't tell until i get the wm5 bootloader and os image in the .nbo format. can you post that version?
thx
Getting the bootloader is easy. I use a special program that I found on the internet a while back. As for the os nb0 file, I already have some nb0 files for the X50(mid) that work over at aximsite (I just have to migrate them to a new server because of problems with the current one).
x50 wm5 upgrade
i really need some help getting this to work. it turns out that i found a A01 wm05 and tried to flash it. the bootloader bar at the top said "SD Image Update A02", but i went ahead anyway. after the update process, i hard reset, but it's still a brick. the unit will go into A02 diagnostic mode, and the hardware seems to check out so i don't think it's totally fried. i'm dazed and confused on where to go from here. any suggestions?
is there a windows mobile 6 for the x50 not the x50v version?

Yes!! Waiting for it!!!
There is no WM6 for the X50(mid) or X50(low) yet. I will make it once I get done with the WM5 A03 rom.
Steven855,
Any luck with that WM6 X50(mid) rom?
This device is anything but abandoned, i'm looking for the upgrade from 2003 to WM 5 and anywhere to find it, no one has the files or if they have, don't wamt to share...
I'm so sad right now...

Axim X50v Upgrade from WM2003SE german to WM6 english

Hello,
I am new to this forum and I want to update my Dell Axim X50v (WM2003SE german) to WM6 english... I have been reading every thread I found about this, but I still have a problem.
As far as I know, I have to do following:
a) update my Axim to WM2003SE english A02...
b) then update to WM2003SE english A03
for step b) I found the patched aximupdate.exe but not for step a)
the link "http://www.anojan.net/AximUpdate.zip" is down....
Does anyone has the file or any other idea to get my axim to WM6
best regards
Michael
I think you first have to upgrade to WM5 and then WM6..
edit: look here at the bottom of the first post youn find this passage:
"Attention! If you have Windows Mobile 2003SE ROM on your device, FIRST, please download THIS ARCHIVE (RAR 32.4 MB), and update your PDA to A01 Windows Mobile 5 ROM. After that, please download official WM5 A02 ROM and update your PDA to WM5 A02 ROM."
not really hard to find
I can´t update to WM5 directly because of different language !!
First of all, I have to get an english WM2003SE version on my axim, then update with new bootloader to WM5 and then finally get to WM6...
or am I wrong ?

Help my dell axim x50v

Please help with my problem. Im a new member. I tried to upgrade my dell axim x50v directly from wm 2003 to maglites wm6. Now my axims all blacked out. When I put it on charge the led light is there but nothing comes on the screen. But the sd bootloader works and also the diagnostics mode. Please help me how can i bring it back to life. I really apprecitate your help thank you.
Did you flash the WM5 A02 bootloader nb0 file? Either way, I have a sticky on aximsite on how to save your axim in situations like this. Your best bet (at first) is to flash the WM2003 SE A05 os nb0 for X50v. If you want to upgrade to WM6 again, make sure you upgrade in steps (WM2003 SE A05 to WM5 A01 to WM5 A02 to WM6).
where can i get the wm5 files from help me
