Replace Artemis cover for a black XDA Orbit - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

Hi!
I want to replace my grey Artemis cover for a black XDA Orbit cover.
Black cover for example:

Are these two covers compatible? Can I replace it easily?

Yepp, works properly, was tested. You need 2 screws more.

O2 XDA IIs case

Can someone post a pic of the xda IIs case that is supplied in box, just need to know if i should order a new one..
Cheers
Check out the cases at Piel Frama

Got one for my PDA2k.. works great...You slide open the PDA2k and in your case the IIs to reveal the keyboard.. slide it into the case and then slide the unit closed... the clear plastic also protects the keypad.. of course you lose the tactile feel of the keyboard buttons...but love the case...
The case isn't too bad but you do have to completely remove the IIs from it to use

Dash housing replacement

I've got some mean scratches on my dash, just wondering if the dummy phone housing is compatible with the real thing so I can make a swap on the housing. It seems like it would work but the chrome part of the housing might not fit internally since the dummy phone has no guts. Has anyone attempted this or can someone point me out to where I can buy parts. I've found cnn.cn sells the black housing portion branded as the dopod c720, but have not yet to find the chrome part.
I know I am a couple of MONTHS late lol but this replacement face has a debranded chrome piece already attached to it.

Rubber skin
I would suggest using a commercial thin rubber skin that fits great. Try the transparent one that allows you to see any detail on the qwerty. I got one for 5 bucks, from HK, I´m happy!

Can i put an HTC P3300 housing cover on an XDA Orbit

i have had an XDA Orbit for a while and the cover is a bit scratched and i want to put a HTC P3300 housing case on it to replace the old one, is this possible i really need to find out if possible, thanks in advance
The answer is Yes, You can if you have full housing for p3300. Frame that hold's everything inside is a bit different but all circuit boards from orbit fit corectly in p3300.
Thanks for your help i wasn't sure if it would fit

My Walking Dead custom Gelaskin

Just wanted to share my custom Walking Dead rear vinyl sticker from Gelaskin. It's been installed for a couple of weeks now, but I just got the rear white housing (no buttons included) from Parts4Repair yesterday. You can't tell from the picture, but the skin is more "off white" than the rear housing. I've already ordered a white battery cover from eBay hoping to get rid of the grey border around the skin.
Here's a link to the original jpeg if anyone's interested:

This is amazing. I want some.

[Q] why are there four small yellow metal portitions on the rear cover?

Hi everyone!...
I bought a smart case for my G3(not original). But when I try to change it with original rear cover, I saw four small yellow metal portitions on it. And the case that I bought does not have them. What does exactly do these yellow metal portitions? Am I going to face any trouble if I use that case?

Those are the contacts for the wireless charging and NFC coils on the back cover. I hope you bought the correct cover for your phone because I believe there are three different contact configurations.
2 for Qi charging
2 for NFC
If the case isn't using them, then you're not using those technologies....
EDIT: mrfeuss beat me to it
