apps for watching online

hi im just wondering if there are any apps that can play videos online like programs from here http://freedocumentaries.net
coreplayer maybe?
any others? thanks
If you want to watch the movie online, try Skyfire! It's definitely not very smooth, but AFAIK it's the only possible way to watch Flash 8 and higher content...
Thanks.. Ill install in now
agreed on skyfire but there are some others, this is what you should know.
skyfire - connection to a remoe pc running firefox, so works well but is a camera on a webbrowser! lol
iris browser - open source webkit, i like this for youtube and stuff like that which is embeded on sites, also allows for other flash things.
pie6, if you have a custom rom, u might get this, something like dutty, it works but OMG how slow it can be, sucks the life out of your processor.
these are just the ones i have used before, but i cannot talk about opera and flash, as ive never really had it work, other then just on basic flash presentations.
theres always iplayer via opera

Skyfire browser has no sound

Hi
Have you any idea why Skyfire browser has no sound, running youtube movies on my HTC Pro2 ? This has the original WWE ROM and the speaker is on at Skyfire.
Thanks very much for the answer.

I thought I had this problem today, then I realised the trouble was that I was charging the phone at the time. If anything is plugged into the USB/charger socket it treats it as if it were headphones and disables the speakers!
Is there a way of avoiding this?
Speaking of Skyfire, I thought about downloading it today. How is it? Is it better then Opera??

The zooming is a bit more clunky - doesn't use the zoom bar - and, as I'm complaining in another thread, it doesn't seem to anti-alias the fonts properly, so text has to be significantly larger to be legible than is the case with Opera. But having built-in flash support is a major advantage. I tried going to the BBC news site with it, and you can play all the little flash-video clips that go with the articles. Playback is a bit jerky, but it works.
Flash support? That's all I needed to hear. Downloading it now!
Thanks dude!
EDIT: Just went on my favorite hiphop site that's known for its videos. Finally could watch these videos on my phone. Wow!

Duh, that's the only reason to use Skyfire! The only browser with flash. And, it's fast.
I didn't know Skyfire has flash player that's why I was excited when I went to the site.

Youtube not opening by default on click

Afternoon all
Did a search but couldn't find anything dealing with this particular issue (if I've missed something, please point it out.).
When I use the native browser and hit a YouTube link, the browser opens up the HTC flash player/streaming media player. But I want it to open the YouTube app, like my HTC Hero used to.
I've tried clearing the defaults for the flash player, streaming media player, youtube app and internet but no joy.
If I try the same test using the Dolphin browser, I get the option to open youtube links with the youtube app, which is what I want the native browser to do!
Does anyone know how to get the native browser to handle youtube links with the youtube app?
Cheers

Bueller? Anyone?
anybody..
It's the same on mine. Can't see any way of changing it. I wonder if this is in anticipation of full flash support in the next Android release?
AFAIK it *should* work - it worked fine on the Hero and it works with the dolphin browser... I'm completely stumped

Froyo broswer

Anyone been able to get flash video's to play. I've been to break.com and youtube, and video's will not play in the browser. I just saw a test on engadget and I figured I'd ask here.

For those whos browsers crash with Flash content

I have just installed Skyfire Browser (beta) from the Market and the sites that crash for me using the Android built in browser are fine in Skyfire, ie BBC , sites that embed justin.tv videos.
i mainly use flash to watch football and the framerate is superb using Skyfire.
Hope this helps some people on here.
So you don't have todays Flash 10.1.95.1 update skewing the comparison?
5MB more gone...

Here's a test then. How many embedded videos can you see and playon this page with the Skyfire browser? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/9004741.stm

I clicked your link and it crashed
and even worse the sites which were ok for my about 10 minutes ago now crash!!!!!!
what have you done?
got it working again after uninstalled/reinstalling.
this is weird as the football videos on the scottish premier league section of the BBC website play fine.
I have the "Enable plug-ins" option set top On-Demand and when i try your link i do not even see a box where the flash videos should be.
If i set "Enable plug-ins" option to "always on" and try your link then the browser crashes.
Thanks for trying and persisting
It's pages like that giving us weird problems, like crashes, lag, no embedded video showing, etc.
There should be two Flash vids on that page to play. I too have plugins set to on-demand and if I change it to Always on, then try that page -> crash. I don't know what it is but it is limited to a few sites in my case so it doesn't bother me as much.
