I would like to make a tread for the best ROM for the Artemis (yet).
- fast
- stable
- tweaks
- installed programs
1) Artemis Touch 4.01 WM6.1 WWE ROM, 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0) (Full, Lite and Vanilla)
2) Greasy Weasel ROMs
3) O2 Premium 2.0 WM6 WWE ROM, 5.2.1921 SDHC (Full & Lite)
4) Black & Blue v4.3 (WWE/GER/FRE/ESN/ITA) 5.2.1933 (Build 18533.0.7.0)
5) ARTEMIS VANILLA 4.01 WWE ROM - WM 6.1 Final 5.2.19199 (SDHC)
6) BLACK & BLUE v5.0 ROM WM6.1 CE OS 19716 ( Build 19716.1.1.0 )
if there is a ROM that is not listed please let me know..
I'm a german and so I prefer german Roms.
For me the best ROM is Mossis Rom. You can find it here: http://www.mossisrom.de/.
I'm glad with the Megalight Version of Mossis Rom.
For me the best and most stable is Artemis Touch 3.01 Vanilla.
Though I have released a couple of ROMs myself, I still love Meschle's Vanilla 4.01

No, i think best rom not exists: it's a consideration based upon personal taste.
For this reason we (I and my friend cesconoa) are working on an ITA Base ROM fully stable and with hight performance and space, and a fully complete package of tested working cab for personalize it according personal taste.

I have tested many ROM's and the best for me is Artemis Touch 4.01 WM6.1 WWE ROM, 5.2.19199.
This is fast with lost of preloaded software & all usefull functions enabled.
Any the way you can customise all startup animations & layouts from Advance configuration & battery plugin, call count, sms count, etc...
Its really nice & fast ROM.
Artemis Touch is great although the cube can slow it down alot and gets boring after a while and tends to never really get used. I much prefer Vanilla because, as everything is removed which makes it a bit faster and ya have the scope to install only what ya want n need.
how to remove cube from vanilla? Should I reflash it with lighter version?

Vanilla version doesn't have cube cause it's vanilla...

Rather faster then full, and the answer is YES, it's much more faster.
Vanilla all the way !!!!! -- with a cherry on the top
...been a fan of meschles vanilla versions right from the start on!
They all have, and are, been the fastest of all roms available!!!
A.T.M. its vanilla 4.01, running Artemis Radio 3.08.90 (GSM Upgrade) though with a by far less power drain!!!

Andrew Greens' GW's are to be watched.The new kid on the block has taken out all the stuff a lot of us don't use and is proving stable and reliable.My vote is definitely for GWE 2.1 UCF,nice one

I love Meschle's but the Greasy Weasel is the one for me at moment, been running for a while now, quick and stable!

for me it is still the best.
Is there any chance of a top chef rebuliding "Artemis Touch 4.02 WM6.1 WWE ROM, 5.2.19199" to be compatable with the kitchen http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310076 with all the missing and oem files in the correct places so us mere mortals can customize a little easyer love this rom as many do but I like many, am not 100% at useing the kitchen to reorder the files safely, so i can remove some and add some more

I don't think there is an original wm6.1 for p3300.
So if you want a clean rom without any manila ****, try one of the clean roms

best rom ever in my opinion is still: meschle's artemis touch 4.02 (without cube)!

Hi,
I have to flash the rom anyway (there are some strange things happening to my device, I fear it is hijacked). Since I am only an interested end user, not so much interested in testing - I would like to know whether I should use one of the latest WM6.5 or a stable WM6.1 rom. I already have a 6.1 rom, but a quite early one ([english ROM LVSW_Trinity_WM6_v2.0.1.1 (2007-05-27)]) and thus not so reliable.
The first issue, however is, since I own a P3600 (400 MHz only) with ROM: 128 MB and RAM: 64 MB SDRA only, whether WM 6.5 would ever run stable on this device. Does anyone have a well founded opinion on this issue?
Anyway, what would be the most stable version?
From my side, no language preference, English would be as fine as German.

Chanvi 's one are good ROM(s) .. On my opinion, i prefer the 6.1 rom with manila 2D more usable than 6.5 with CHome ...

This one is more stable, then Chanvi's, from my opinion, i had much more bugs using different builds from chanvi's, even in different customisations.
Savesaint's has it's own bugs, and i can't customise it (because it's not a kitchen), but i prefer using that one.
But 3600's wm5 doesn't look like this one
the both sent ROM is 6.5 and as i know it always Memery hungry . does anubody knows whis ROM is the best in 6.1?

I use from 3 month now and i have no problem with FInixNOver 3.7.2 light, before i use FInixNOver 3.7.2 manilla and it work very good.I was change it becose in manilla i have 12 mb free memory and igo stops sometimes.
this is another vote for the FInixNOver 3.7.2 light rom, for stability you cant get anything better than this ... i've tried a lot of roms and have allways gone back to this one.
I've tried all the 6.5 version roms and to be honest mate ... dont go there, they all have their issues.

I have been testing for a while now some 6.5 Roms. From my experience they have bugs, not all the programs can't work on 6.5, etc...
But I am confident since the savesaint 815 that we are going to have a very stable Rom soon. From my experience this was the best in 6.5 roms.
The few bugs that the rom have are solve by now.
Must wait developments... until Stable!

I agree, things got to get done. WM 6.5 it's not final version yet. Still in development from Microsoft... so got to wait a bit more so that we can really talk about a stable ROM.
Until there, with minor or sometimes a bit major bugs, the latest Builds are working better...

installed the rom and after playing with it for a while, i must say that this rom is very good. quick and stable. so i think i stick with this rom for a while.
wm 6.5 is cool, but it soo slow with newer releases, so that i cant use it anymore.
I am the same opinion, for now I'll stay with version 6.1 light version to not have problems with iGO.I find on the net windows mobile 5, original vesion HTC P 3600 and I thinking to install that to comarare wm5 and wm6.1. I bought SPV M700 from orange, 2 years ago.

first i was very happy with wm6.5 (first releases). But the more wm6.5 goes further, it's soo slow and the response time is very long (i use spb mobile shell).
I never had problems with tomtom, but with the last wm6.5 releases tomtom runs so slow

So is there a greek rom for htc 3600 wm6.5?
Guys i also vote for FInixNOver 3.7.2 manilla 2d rom. but i find a problem with it. the thing is i cannot find the fm radio program on the rom i searched every where, program files all the folders in it but couldnt find and i even tried to search and ask in the rom authors thread even but no reply yet. i would really like to have it. is there a cab somewhere i could use? thanks for help really appreciate this site.

You all welcome to try my rOms.
If you are looking for stability, I definitely recommend trying Tomme45i's latest ROM series:
[ROM+KITCHEN][WWE][26.08.09]WM 6.1.21054 + 6.5.23017 Classic
He has stripped away the fancier elements of 6.5 (so personal preference will play a part in deciding if it is the ROM for you) but it's incredibly stable, has excellent memory handling and suffers from no memory leaks.
It is probably the last of his Trinity ROMS, so well worth checking out.

I search Naked ROM, preferably 21014 or 21051 build...
PS: WM 6.5 is unusable - because of the size of ram ...

Try DarkVisions 5.0 FINAL. Fastest 6.5 ROM out there although it is very bare. If you want a fast Manila2D rom get the latest ROM from JoshKoss. Otherwise I really love Pays 6.1 ROM.

DarkVisions 5.0 - have a lot of applications and is a bit slow .
Josh's V15 Manilla2D Build Light Plain - is fast ROM, but manilla eats lot of RAM .
And Pays ROM have a lot of applications and have customized icons, and have old Build.
Can anyone uncook Manilla from Josh's ROM ?
Or Can anyone cook ROM from WM6 official to WM 6.1 Build 21014/21051/21109 ?

That ROM contains a Radio as well so doubly make sure you have HardSPL and flash from a MicroSD card before you try it.
Port from Kaiser is not ideal for me
I like Josh's ROM with Manilla Off It really fast ROM
if you really want 6.1 - faria
but my advise is dark vision 5.0 final it is wm6.5
i tried a wot, can say almoust every for hermes and this is the rom

I need a pure 6.1 Rom, without HTC Home, Manila, or other extra Software.
crc 13.5 is stable, quick, and plain.
