Version 2 status bar icons
I've been learning how to make themes with a bunch of help from Stericson and his first theme and now my first theme is half way decent enough to share. Its a carbon fiber theme for the car guys. Just put the file on your SDcard, rename to update.zip, and reboot in recovery mode. Its still in beta so it may not be perfect, and I suck at photoshop so this isnt easy for me but I welcome your suggestions and feedback.

Beta 9.9 v2 - Changed all the status icons to match, they are now very easy to see and understand.
Beta 9.9 - Only minor changes, now when the selector is over an icon on the home screen its a grey background instead of orange. Changed a few status icons, new wifi, new USB, new GPS, new MMS, and a couple others. I decided to go with more colors and less lack of color since its more fun and easier for me to see. lol And this is back to all my icons and everything of my choice instead of the few builds I had using other peoples icons and status bars. I changed the alarm clock icon in the status bar back to default and made SMS white and MMS black.
Beta 9.0 - New status icons, new setupwizard image, all the status bar icons were updated, more default wallpapers replaced, and fully tested and verified on RC30 by me.
Beta 8.3 - No new link, just added a few extra status icons, wifi, error, and a couple other randoms. I also repacked both the ADP1 and the RC30 hoping that will fix a couple issues.
Beta 8.2 - New colored reception status icon, bluetooth icon, and USB icon all with transparency. Ferrari wallpaper replaced Ecko. Smaller slider tab, since I think less is more. I also added a RC30 build!
Beta 7.0 - Bigger hour hand of the clock. Small red tip for the minute hand. Much better looking carbon fiber for the status bar. A bunch of new icons. New MMS received icon and MMS error icon. New button for the slider tab. New dialing and hanging up splash screens for the car lovers.
Beta 6.0 - Improvements to the clock. Improvements to the status bar. Couple new icons.
Beta 5.2 - Make the status bar more white so the time and alerts are easier to read. Changed the hour hand on the desktop clock.

I am liking the slider. It's still "there" but not intrusive. Work on the title bar which is still essentially Stericson's to make it a little more unique. Also, perhaps make one without the Ferrari clock or perhaps just de-brand it since it is overall a nice looking clock?
Nevertheless, great start!!!!!

Dude. It's awesome to see somebody so focused on the implementation of feedback. And the changes look SUPERB!

I am a massive F1 fan and like the theme. Will it be ported to RC30 and RC8?(modified)

Just a suggestion man, but you should leave the old versions available. Me for instance, I LOVED the statusbar on 5.2, but this one just isn't my taste. You could leave 'em all available as "different themes you've created". ;-)

Aw, that sucks man. I wonder if the alt+w can be changed to like alt+p or something, just so it's on the other side of the keyboard.

Its pretty eclectic but I will definitely try to rehost those forgotten files and start hosting all the build versions.

Ok, here is a new one for ya, and I have 1.0 final almost ready which will be in RC30 and following shortly in RC8 so Im looking for beta testers for those builds. And I used that background so you can see the new icons better in the pic. See OP for the download link.

I was going to hold off on RC30 until I made a few refinements but if you guys are chomping at the bit let me know and I will try to get it cranked out asap.

branden, damn player status, i don't like to be a slave driver but if you got time, please release this to be compatible with jf's rc30v1.3 pretty please with a cherry on top

If you RC30 guys have no suggestions from the screen shots I will go ahead and make an RC30 build but its going to be up to you guys to test it and report back.

I have been using this wallpaper, its the right size and looks pretty good on mine. I am not suggesting to implement it, but others are free to download it is they want something different. I think it goes nicely with the clock! Sorry its so "Windows" like

I made this up with photoshop, but all of the files are packed and ready to go... this is just to show everyone my work.... my first attempt at installing the theme was unsuccessful, so i cant post an update as of yet (UPDATE coming real soon!!) Hope this is something that is likeable for any who was looking for red.

I got the theme past tmobile g1 screen, i attached the new screenshot to show a sample icon as well as the menu tab and clock for version 1. Continuing with the rest of the icons and files. Release is looking closer, well sooner

I created a mockup of what my version 2 of the red theme will look like, screenshot on page 2... if you check closely i resized the "Alarm Clock" image, this is as large as i can get the icons without exposing the square dimension limit, which would cut off the embroidery design around the icons... untill i find a new solution i can post the small icons and the slightly larger icons in 2 updates... depending on feedback

After many trials of finding a legitimate icon size, i finally found something that keeps the design around the button visible.. uintill i can figure out what looks better, but Version 2 will be coming SOON.. then more updates within the system icons and clocks etc... download and rename to update.zip, turn off phone, hold HOME + POWER and then Alt + S. Should have a red boot screen!! HAS BEEN TESTED BY ME

What I did:
Took the wallpaper from teknotiq's theme and added more red in it...
Changed every stock icon on RC33, as far as Alarm Clock - Youtube..
Added my custom menu tab, sorry thats not meant to be arrow... it wont switch and point down
Changed the status bar to have more red and black
What I could have done:
-light red icons
- clear center icons (red outlining)
- black outter, inner red glow icons
- different wallpaper (UPDATED)

The second one is tight... but the icons are a lil TOO much red =/ jus my 2 cents

well a couple of people requested to see a different type of clock, although there will be a traditional clock release....
but here go some things i just made... let me kno which one you like...
looking for some non traditional crazy hands for these clocks as well

im shooting for this week, for at least the initial drop, then more tweaks over the weekend... if i don't feel lazy ill try to drop numerous versions with of this theme with different clocks....
then later on i might switch up the icons, same look, but maybe the middle is cut out and clear, or the red would be a lighter red, or idk

yeah i read your disclaimer on your theme first and when i release it ill give you props for what i used.. i kno u dont care, but just respectful to put all parties involved on the update.zip
but yeah now i gotta resize the icons but everything else is coming together nicely for my original release... this week definitely!!! and if this nice long "Squall" of storm doesnt knock out my comcast n electricity then il get to work asap

yeah we are in a tornado warning until 9... it was just winter... wtf??? lol

ya kno what thats a great idea... keep the clock with the icons with the menu tab with status bar... keep coherency... and ill check out ur idea with the 2 dots and the half circle... but damn making these icons is a *****... changing the orange to black to yellow and then placing the respective parts together in one icon..
but ill do it

PM me a quick run down of what you need done for the icons and ill help out as best i can. im pretty good with photoshop so it wont be a half a$$ed effort.

i hope to this time around... waiting for the responses first before i go knockin on doors lol.. but hopedully i can get a screenshot or a quick mock up of everything to show people more of the look of the theme... but first gotta twist up the colors...

i added the icons i made.. took a good hour to copy them over... may not use all of them.. but here is a quick screen shot...

pretty cool icons...try filling in the circles with black and makein the inside icons white...see how that looks

possted a mock of a possibility of a start to the theme... lemme kno what u think

Sweet! I've been waiting for a photobucket-inspired theme. Just kidding, I actually saw the mock-up a couple of days ago and it was excellent. I'm all for colorful themes, and orange is one of my favs. I'll check back Sunday and see if I can find me a new wallpaper.

sure thing im trying to have the entire mock done... to then just copy everything over.. im working behind the scenes... sorry about the mix up... and i added a lil touch to the color scheme... 3 clocks to choose from.... status bar icons new... floating colored icons.. etc.. hot menu tab... hope you guys enjoy

This was going to be the clock featured in an upcoming theme called "AquaAlien", for whatever reasons, I didn't really get to finish it as fast as I'd like. I just noticed an 'ahome' theme by the same name in the market so I'll possibly end up abandoning this project and just work on other things for now (its a personal thing, I don't really like taking someone else's thunder I guess since I wouldn't want it happening to me). But the clock is mostly personally made not using any of the Aqua Alien icons so I figured I'd offer the clock as a seperate update.zip file for those that want to use a new non-hero based clocks.​

I'm porting SystemForce over to the newer rom's so I completely redid the clock now that I am able to create a bigger sized version of it. It still matches the theme in every way but also looks good stand alone, so I figured I'd put it up for individual download for those that like to mix and match theme elements.​

NOTE: These are mostly 4x3 clocks (big size) so if you have problems flashing, remove any old clocks from home screen, flash, then add clock widget again. Be sure to leave enough room on your home screen for it to fit.

To explain my theme process..I find icon sets that I think look really cool, then I find matching wallpapers that would go good with that icon set, then I build my themes around that. As you can see in the screenshots I got as far as customizing the top bar (only right hand side) the clock and the status bar. The icons were put by bettercut but I'd have made them system icons as well. The last time I worked on that theme we were on Cyanogen 3.2 so as you can see its been a while since its been touched.
Now I dont use ahome so I don't know what the "AlienAqua" ahome theme in the market place looks like but since I build my themes based on the icons, its the heart of my project. I may continue with it since I'm getting positive responses here but I remember being stuck on what to do with the pull up tray images.
The best thing I loved about that theme was the boot screen..I had an animated spaceship scene which is hard to describe but looked really ****ing awesome. Too bad
If you look at my other themes, I tend to go all out and customize everything possible so it may take a while before you see any of my ideas posted. This was why alien aqua was not finished..
If theres enough demand I can zip up the wallpapers and icon sets for people to use. Not sure about the notification icons beause I can make use of them in other themes..Those that remember SystemForce version 2 may recognize some of the top bar icons from there. So i recycle..is a lot of work

that theme would look hot on a white G1 thats nice keep up the great work

2) Lol yeah I'm looking for that damn blue image..I lost it when I changed it, I'll probably go back to using that, as you may have noticed the recent changes are due to the fact I'm not happy with any new avatars.
edit: Well thank goodness for redundant backups of backups..was able to find the old avatar after all..back to normal now.

Oh man I'd love to see that zelda clock in a systemforce way!

[THEME][MOD][STOCK][LSD] Liverpool Football Theme [Version 2.5 12/03/13]

Now I know this won't appeal to everybody...but I am a Liverpool fan!

OlliG for his Rom Fumbler, making it easy for me to grab some suitable signal icons
Spannaa for getting me interested in this in the first place & offering some advice
It is still a work in progress... things I still want to add/change/improve... SO IT'S NOT PERFECT YET.
VERSION 2.3 "LIVERPOOL GLASS" - now it's a simple flash over a stock rom...
Now based on Carotix Glass Themes.
Battery Now Red Android, with yellow Liverbird when on charge.
Yellow Liverbirds on Dialpad number buttons.
Fixed tab selection colour in dialler etc.
Fixed colour of brightness slider
Minor icons recoloured or replaced (most should be done now)
Slider converted to use a Liverpool icon
Android in Liverpool strip comes up when dialling, animated by 5 Champions League Trophies
Liverpool clock in notification bar when alarm set, In clock settings grey/full colour for off/on
Colour on menu frames now matching (thanks Carotix)
Change wallpaper to plain whilst incall, so icon doesn't sit over logo.
6 Liverpool backgrounds to choose from in mms
Replacement icons for phone/log/favourites/contacts tabs done
Banner added to close bar of notification dropdown
Created stock icons for phone/messages/contacts/app tray - black on red liverbird background (looks best on TW stock launcher)
Added an optional UCCW clock in post 2
Added some other optional UCCW widgets in post 2
Optional theme wallpaper of Suarez & Sterling to go with UCCW widgets in post 2
Added modded browser icon as requested
Change icons on clock tabs - football related.
Change mms wallpaper number 3
To do/needs fixing (so you don't need to tell me)
Change the 'in call' unknown contact icon....
Carry on reviewing current system icons

To be fair, I am new to this. I am aiming for a predominately red on black theme, so it is far from finished.
Also consider that I doing this on unrotted/odexed stock rom, as I need to use apps that won't allow root, even if hidden.
But I like the contacts list, the 'in call' android man in a Liverpool strip... there are plenty of updates to come in the days & weeks ahead.
I have made a red android battery, with a yellow liverbird when on charge that will be updated later.
I was also thinking of a circular liverpool badge on the brightness slider.
I do need the framework changed so it can work with/without the alliance mod. It was the only way I had it working on lsd rom.
For now, I carry on working at work...

OK. Well I've already switched bases to Carotix glass theme, but in red obviously. That way it flashed for me without alliance rom.
Just working out how to fix a menu size issue then I will start swapping png's to get it to the way shown above.
After that, we can work out between us how to take the idea forward?
I prefer the idea of black/red/yellow as black is the away shirt colour & obviously yellow is on both shirts.
Never been a fan of the marine blue used in the modern badge.

Carotix said he is too busy to do a Red Glass theme, so as mentioned earlier, I have been using the red png's for that theme.
This means it should now flash on LSD directly, with no other files needed.
Currently have a couple of outstanding issues, caused by the dreaded 9.png's but I've got the size issue fixed, just need to sort out their colour now.
Just in the process of moving the Liverpool stuff that I have done to date over & then I'll update the first post before carrying on with some work on it.

As mentioned before, based now on Carotix's glass themes.
Temporarily the pop up menus are not the colour intended (currently blue surround), this will be fixed at a later date.

Spannaa posted an xml file in his thread that he had compiled to make clock on statusbar red. I used that as it was perfect for me.

I simply created a layout folder in systemui.apk/res & dragged it there.
To answer your other question I haven't got a clue, I'm a noob.

Not quite a teaser, but I am hoping to have a go at making some icons, with this as the base...
They won't be ready for a fair while though, as need to decide the best way... I know there's the Icon Set Builder, or photoshop...
anyway, there'll be a 2.1 update tomorrow. :good:

Icons? For the apps? You know you can ONLY theme system apps. Thats VERY sad I really like to theme ALL of my apps but always I change icon of market apps like TB it dont work
It becomes ugly: some are themed and some not. And this is only way the app drawer also theme because launchers cannot
Is there a dev out know how to edit icons?

Yes I know that you can only theme system apps.
Being on Nova Launcher, and the fact I put all my most used apps on my home screens, means that I can change them manually to whatever I want. A pain, yes, but needs must. Not worried about what's in the app tray as I don't use it much.
To change a market app, I believe if you decompile it, and change it, then recompile, then the app stops working. Something to do with the compilation key.
