I need a cool transparent glossy clock - G1 Themes and Wallpapers

I just need the clock, since most of these themes wont come out till the competition is completed, if it can be compatible with rc33 lite I would appreciate it, just a request for anyone who's bored and looking for a project. Thanks again.

check out my red theme page and then go to page 2, and check out my red clock... are you talking transparent and glossy like that?
also would u want to have the original clock for rc33 lite? or that clock in a color?

Here is my Kspec Klock, feel free to edit, change, modify, whatever you would like. If you cant do it let me know and I will try to accommodate you. Either way, I hope you enjoy and if you create something new please make sure to post so others can share your work.

I really like your clock, but the red hue doesnt go with my choice of wallpaper, I would like it to be clear like glass if possible, again I would really appreciate this. and Just the clock file not the whole theme please.

Bump? Anything out there

I just did a Google search. Are you looking for something like this?

Yesss! But clear no dark hue, that would be great.

lol I guess there isnt one out there? Thanks anyway.

Oh thats cool too, is there a Clock update file I can download somewhere.

As of now that clock only exists in the form of three png files; the dial and the two clock hands. You would need to put them in the proper (for your Android version) launcher.apk, put the launcher.apk in a proper (and signed) update.zip and then flash it onto your phone.

I could throw something together for you if you feel adventurous enough to try an untested update.zip and if you know how to restore the phone if something goes wrong.

I have no idea if this is gonna work or not; I have never created an update.zip for just one single apk before, only full updates. Remember to backup.

Oh, and beware that the clock is located in the launcher.apk which also contains the app tray files among other things. This means that your app tray is gonna be reset to the default one (which will only be an issue if you're using a custom theme).

Worked perfectly no glitches, Thanks mannyb, good luck on your themes.

I made up another one for my future themes
Its not an update, its just the images in a zip: http://www.4shared.com/file/88500124/d5a48ab8/Kspec_Klock_v2.html

It should work on any rooted RC33, no lite needed. It should not mess multitouch up either as it only modifies the launcher.apk file and not browser.apk.

Restore Original G1 theme and fonts!

Not liking any of the themes or fonts and want to go back to the way things originally were on your G1 without wiping?
Well, good news, I have four updates that will do just that. Same as before, just rename it to update.zip, put on sdcard, boot into recovery, press alt s, and let the magic begin!
I have versions for Haykuru(G), ADP1.1(JF 1.4), ADP1.1H(Holiday), RC8, RC30 and RC33.
Thanks to mannyb for getting me the files I needed to make ADP1.1 update, he also kind of gave me a kick to get working on it. Thanks.
To restore only the fonts download the last link. not that these themes do not restore the fonts, so if you want to restore the fonts along with the theme then flash the font update.zip as well.
Links:
RC8: http://www.fightforthepits.com/Androidstuff/update_rc8.zip
RC9: http://rapidshare.com/files/216685878/update_rc9-jf.signed.zip
RC30: http://www.fightforthepits.com/Androidstuff/update_RC30.zip
RC33: http://www.fightforthepits.com/Androidstuff/RC33-update.zip
ADP1: http://www.fightforthepits.com/Androidstuff/update_ADP1.zip
Fonts: http://www.fightforthepits.com/Androidstuff/update-fonts.zip
Note! If you are going to use this as a template for your own theme, do NOT remove any files from the update as it will cause a looped phone.
The updates below wipe out /system/app so that a clean install can be ensured.
ADP1.1 (JF1.4): http://www.fightforthepits.com/Androidstuff/ADP1.1-update.zip
ADP1.1H(Holiday): http://www.fightforthepits.com/Androidstuff/ADP1.4H-update.zip
These theme templates are to be considered *BETA* This is because with all the changes that are being made to these builds, meaning the daily and nightly builds, something could possibly change that would render this theme template unusable. Mind you this template has the apps, framework, and the fonts included. This has been confirmed to work on the build created by THEDUDEOFLIFE. This will WIPE out /system/app! So any additional apps stored therein will be gone. The apps available in his build is what will be present upon using this theme template as is. Remove apps from this update as needed to accomodate your needs.
I highly suggest using TheDudeOfLifes build with this theme template. I do not know how it will work on other (G) builds. Be forewarned!
I make no promises, guarantees or anything else of the like by making this file available, you assume all risk that might be incurred by putting this on your phone.

sweeet, thanks alot worked like a charm, so being a noob like me, should I revert back to this before switching themes? i also signed this zip archive with the signature keys that was included with the AndroidMod kit that i used to revert from OTA rc30 to RC29...is this also the correct thing to do? you dudes are awesome thank you!
Thanks
You shouldn't need to resign this, I did it myself, but it never hurts to sign again.
I would recommend flashing to this before flashing to another theme just to make sure that everything is flushed out from the previous themes.
Stericson
Hey, Mr Stericson, would it be possible for you to add the default theme for ADP1.1 too?
I sure will do that. Will, have it up tonight.

How would I incorporate this into my theme's update.zip in order to use a different font throughout android? I want to replace the digital clock font, but I don't mind if it changes that specific font throughout android.

just replace the font sansdroid with your own and flash the update again. just make sure it has the same name. It will however change the fonts througout the entire phone.
Also guys sorry for the delay I will have a compatible update available today. I promise.
Stericson
Thanks for the reply Stericson. I guess I should have been more specific with my question. I am releasing a beta tonight, for a theme I have been working on for a while. I guess what I'm trying to ask is, how would I "merge" your font update.zip into my theme update.zip? I want to release my theme with a custom font built in. Can I just find the sansdroid font in my theme zip and change it, or do I need to include some modified files to do that?
check out my adp1 update for trial by fire. Replace my files with your own.

[Mockup Theme] Orbs JF1.41 RC33

I messed around with photoshop for a couple hours today, and this is what I came up with. It looked WAY better when I made these icons at full size, but then they turned to crap when I resized them smaller. So I'm gonna have to make some changes...
*2/11 - Added Dialer, Messenger, Browser and Maps icons. (still need to "sharpen" up the status bar icons)

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
*2/13 - (Finally got Nandroid setup). I spent some time packaging the files and updating them to my phone. Here is a real screenshot(no more photoshop mockups). Two things I've came across...
1) The "Dialer" icon was not changing for some reason, it's in the apk, but is not showing up on my phone.
2) The gradient on my clock looks terrible, it's not smooth and I can see the lines in the gradient. I thought it was because I compressed the image, but I put in an uncompressed image and it still looked the same.
It took me a week to come up with only this. I started with knowing nothing about themes, and still have a lot to learn.
*oh yea...don't mind the little android guy at the bottom...I used damnitpud theme as a template...
edit: The gradient problem seemed to go away with a darker colored wallpaper, like this one...weird
they look good, dont sell yourself short.
I like 'em
Yeah they look realy good, the orb theme sounds pretty cool keep us updated!
Not that you want to because you seem like a good artist, but you could even take the vista route and throw in the vista orb for a apps tab. Just a thought with the orbs idea. And there are quite a few orb icon packs at deviantart, you could use for ideas. But as i said they look real good. Keep us posted on the developements.
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I fiddled with PS some more and added some new icons.
(anyone wanna help me get Nandroid working? If I have JF1.41 RC33, is the SPL the only thing I need to install? EngineerSPL or HardSPL?)

I hate to throw my own thread off topic, but here are my questions...
On the 1st page of the "Nandroid" thread, it says I need...
1) EngineeringSPL bootloader
2) a recovery image with busybox and adbd running as root
3) Fastboot
...then on page 9, "alapapa" replied to someone that has just the JF1.41 RC30 and said that all he needs to do for a Nandroid backup is, boot into recovery mode(home+power), then press alt+b.
1) Does this mean I don't need to install the EngineeringSPL bootloader?
2) Does JF1.41 RC33 come with "busybox and adbd running as root"?
You can create the nandroid backups without the EngineeringSPL bootloader but you need it to reapply them. Yes the JF releases come with busybox and root.

Cool thanks...I got the engineeringSPL on and created a backup. Havnt tested it out yet though. Also updated my first post.
Its coming along fine, but i dont care for the apps tab, i dont feel it is necessary but, it looks good.
I dig this big time... Very clean. How does the status bar look? Is it transparent?
Is it ready to try out?
Very nice can't wait to try it out.

Thanks for posting this, I never knew about this thing before. Now I'm going to be spending all my time making new themes...lol. I already made a couple for my phone.
BTW....it's not nearly as complicated as you may think. You just pull the framework-res.apk out of you current ROM and upload it to the site and pick what mods you want. Then it gives you back a flashable zip with your new theme.

yea i've been bugging the dudes on the irc to tell me how to do it manually, but i see nothing. if i decompile framework-res.apk and go to public xml like you do in froyo, it's not as easy as changing values and adding images. you really need to do some coding, and then there's this systemui thing. man...
next time i'm on the irc, i'll try and find out for sure how to do it.

[THEME] JW4+JW6 odex ICS status bar + status bar icons

JW6 version here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27692317&postcount=40
Hey guys, I loved the ICS status bar and icons that were in JellyBeanRom, so I borrowed some of the pngs and added them to the odexed framework/system ui of JW4.
I also kept the samsung 2G/3G/EDGE indicators, but moved them a few pixels so that they line up better with the ICS wifi/signal icons.
My base was EXTENDED-CRToff-BATTERY%JW4ODEX from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24256059&postcount=448, but I'm not sure if you are required to flash this first to get the theme to work (The only diff is that his includes android.polixy.odex, which i believe is necessary for extended power menu etc). But I do recommend you flash that first if you want to be cautious (plus you get extra features!!!)
Finally, I haven't packed this into a flashable CWM. I would appreciate if someone does (once we confirm my files are working). In the meantime you can copy them over to system/framework (for the framework), and system/app (for systemui). Make sure to set the permissions the same as the other files in the folder!!!
Remember, do a CWM backup before you flash. And I'm not responsible for bricks!!! But I do hope this helps my fellow odex users
Full credits to Toldo (see his rom here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24724752#post24724752)
and respect goes out to pantrif13 for his odex mods!!!

SystemUI mods for SM-T815 Deodex AOJ4

Hi,
There are some sweets for deodexed aoj4:
1. 3minit battery mod.
I think everyone knows what does that mean,so no screenshots needed.
Download from Mega
2. Wide notification panel with 10 quick settings buttons
Looks same as stock, but screen wide. Quantity of quick settings buttons increased to 10. See screenshots from next point, looks same, but with stock colors.

3. Wide notification panel with 10 quick settings buttons, black color.
I really don't like stock colors, more over Amoled displays don't like white color for energy saving. That was the reason for me to make dark themed notification panel(sound volume panels also dark).

Thanks, the black color looks classy - like in windows 10
Best regards

Disable ADM in galaxy Tab S2 T815Y
Any ideas as to disable android device manager completely? not just turning it on and off in google settings or settings.
Hi, is there any chance that it will be working on t715?
Flashed the 3rd one and it gives me system ui stopped working
Flashed your deodexed zip to remove it.
Do you think its because I'm using google now launcher or its something else I should look for

Sorry for late reply.I had no internet access for some period.
I don't think that the reason for stopping is launcher.Look for another reason like some tweaks for SystemUI.
hi,
do you know if this works on a T810 ?
or omebody tried it?
thanks!

The only man who can answer your question is You.
Unfortunatelly I don't have 810 on hands and cann't test it.
Just make full back up with TWRP and flash required zip. You will see the result and then make a post in this thread so I will add 810 to topic.
Thank you.
Since you already figured out how to change the cot on this version of systemui, care to give me a little help on which values to modify on my t715? I spent all night yesterday on trying to get this to work but I apparently did something wrong.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right? Other versions of touch wiz seem to use the drawable-xxhdpi folder, but I can only find that in /vendor/.
I'd just use your apk but I can't afford a broken system today because I have finals in a couple days and I shouldn't even be making this post actually.
katakis1,
First of all you should make your system deodexed.
/system/privapp/systemui/systemui.apk/ is correct, right?
That is correct. But you need to decompile this file to make changes like it was made in my modds.
Unfortunatelly I cannot write complete how-to because of lack of time. But you can find these how-to's on xda-forum.Just use search. Find any how-to concerning tweaks or color changes of systemui.apk for any popular Samsung model(I was using how-to from S5,S6 and Note 4).
3rd option gave error: systemui stopped working. No mods installed, only deodexed.

I have just dowloaded 3rd option from MEGA and flashed on my Tab. Everything working well. Youn should check any other tweaks to systemui. Mods should be installed to clean deodexed OJ4 system.
There is another screenshot taken just few minutes ago.

I really don't believe this tab s2 room would be so quite. If you could make another theme, any theme, it would be nice.
Example :
PS: I kept failing recompile apk... : (
Look, all these compilation-recompilations take a lot of time, but now, unfortunatelly,i do not have such free time.Sorry.From other side,i was making dark theme for my own and decided do share it with others.
