I seem to have lost the task list drop-down (top right) and my Start list is now vertical and tiny.
This appears to have occurred yesterday after removing Touch Commander (and possible WAD). I've double checked the install/un-install instructions but have been unable to fix this. I've also tried re-installing both the "Truly Blue" and Default themes using Diamond TF3D Config, but alas...
Do I need a Registry tweak or manilla hack ?
Does anyone know how to get the task list back ?

Start - Settings - System - Task Manager - select "enable quick menu" ??
Doh - that simple ! Tx Cheesy Dave.
FYI - just found this.
Re: Start Menu size, "read the manual"...By default, the Start menu is displayed in a large size to make it easier for you to touch menu items with your finger when selecting them from the Start menu. The Start menu can also be displayed in a smaller size, if preferred. Tap Start > Settings > System tab > TouchFLO and then clear the Enable large Start menu check box to display a smaller Start menu.
The easiest and most guaranteed way is doing an hard-reset..... don't get worried, it seems a silly answer but it works anyway....... and you'll never spend lots of hours to try softwares, to apply patches and more else........ Just do it!!!

anyone no which to choose in the windows folder so i can set my left soft key to lock the phone??
thanks
Why not go to the options of battery status -> tools and DeviceLock on Wake up, check lock if display is off and vice versa.
Then all you need to do to lock is hit the power button, very effective.
Cheers
Matt
Or..
...get Slide2Unlock - search the forum for that
devicelock and remapsoftkeys ?
You can find a tool here on xda-dev: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=305402&highlight=DeviceLock.zip

i never used this tool but it sounds good for your problem.
If you want to replace a softkey and you can't with this tool - use remapsoftkeys:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1060151&postcount=1 and you're done...
But what brings this button on the screen ?
why don't just push the hardware button on the right side of the phone and your display is out = phone is locked ?
IMHO i think it's useless
cause if the power botton for the screen is pushed on the side the wi-fi connection drops and it conects via gprs to msn so i wana soft key to push (quicker than the apps the lock fone through the home screen )
i just need to no which one in the windows folder would control that ??
thanks

Isn't it the DeviceLock-Tool you're searching for ? It's the same effect with
this app...the 'original' built-in phone lock - no idea where it is stored...
I have a request: The standard WM 6.5 Lock is beautiful except for the fact that it requires a password. I just want to lock the device, not to password it! How do I do it? Can someone at least point me in the right direction? I can't be the only Joe here who has wanted this fix. Has it been fixed already?
I'm using NFSFAN's 6.5 21728 V13 GENERIC CARRIER ROM. (and love it I may add)
So I want this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And not this:
Just remove password -> Start -> Settings -> Lock -> Uncheck ''Promt if phone unused for''

I know I'm no expert but that is exactly the dilemma. I do as you note, and uncheck, "Prompt if phone is unused for" there is no lock at all.
When the power button is hit accidently in my pocket there is no screen lock which I don't like. When I try to enable the lock without a password I get the message:
Password Error - Please anter another password. The password must be at least 4 characters and not contain a simple sequence (e.g. 111 or 1234)"
Think of the Iphone. Hit power button, Slide to unlock, takes you to the home screen. Thats what I want with the standard windows lock system. Am I making sense?
try http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2009/09...k-the-windows-mobile-screen-after-wakeup.html worked for me
Hi everybody, let me present you SpyKit, and app designed for taking spy pictures in a very simple yet powerful way!
The motivation was to address the main problems in most of the existing spy cameras: lack of polisheness and counter intuitive user interfaces.
Right now this is the only spy camera that works when you screen is truly turned off!
How to use it?
The first thing you have to do is activate it through the main switch in the upper right corner. You can also put a widget in your desktop for quickly enable it.
Then there two ways you can use the app:
-> Using your device buttons. (PLAY, PAUSE, VOLUME UP/DOWN)
By default all buttons are mapped to the Single Picture Action.
-> Using the Motion Detection feature.
By default motion detection is mapped to the Continuous Shooting Action
You, of course, can change this mappings at the settings screen.
SpyKit, by default, displays a floating preview which you can drag and resize as you like. It allows you to keep using your other apps while the preview is active!.
If you don't want the preview to be shown, you can disable it at the settings screen.

Google Play Services battery drain fix
Original thread
Thanks to @timmaaa, only the second step work (the one quoted in this thread) for our Galaxy Young. After testing this method, the battery drain problem was fixed and noticed that the Play Store is faster ! You have only to follow the instructions.
Please note: everything below this point requires root! This will not affect the running of your device!
Next you need to download Android Tuner. Open it and pull out the side menu, scroll down to the Apps Manager section and select Application Startups. Open the box at the top and change it to All, click the button in the bottom-right until it says System, scroll to Google Play Services and select it, a huge list will open, scroll to very near the bottom and find the Wakeup option, uncheck the box.

}
Go back to the main menu of Android Tuner and pull out the side menu on the left, scroll down to the Apps Manager section and select Application Manager. Click the right box at the bottom until it says System, scroll to find Google Play Services and long press it, a menu will pop up, select Permissions. This should bring you to the Perms tab, swipe across to the Services tab. In this list you want to uncheck anything that starts with Ads or Analytics, you also want to uncheck anything that starts with com.Google.android.location.reporting as well.

One of the new features found in ColorOS 12.1 is the ability to create an OMOJI. This is an interactive animated character that can be used to represent you! Once you've created your OMOJI, you can share it with your friends, or use it for your Always-On Display. The selfie camera is used to capture your facial expressions, as your OMOJI mirrors everything that you do.
Start with a template character, and make adjustments from there. Use the edit icon in the bottom left to choose your skin color, head share, hairstyle, etc. Then you can proceed to choose headwear and glasses for your character. There are many different designs to choose from, so chances are that you'll be able to get an OMOJI that represents your style.

Now your emoji is ready to use. You can access it by going to Settings > Account > OMOJI > Use OMOJI. Then you'll have options to set it as your profile photo or profile cover. To use your OMOJI with your Always-on Display, go to Settings > Personalization > Always-on Display > OMOJI.
Now that you know how to do it, feel free to share your OMOJI in this thread!
Thanks to OPPO for supporting this thread
Would be good if you showed how to actually open omoji!!! Its not in my app drawer, but is showing in App Management in settings. The only options are Force Stop (which is greyed out) and Uninstall.
Unfortunately not available in a lot of regions. I also do not have the feature which is definitely a bummer.
