I have a 8525(Herm100) I"m running the TNT 2.0 Rom And for Some Reason every time I"m on the Phone with someone talking, I can not Use Any of the Letter Keys that Share #'s. Even if I use The white Dot Function key its a No GO . Is there a Fix or a settiing I've over Looked on my Phone ?
this has been covered already.. its a problem in newer roms.. only rom with this issue fixed so far to my knowledge is vp3's 3.61

no flame at all. but yea his rom is the only rom that is newer that has it fixed.. which sorta sucks i wish one of the barebones rom had it fixed in it but for now im stuck using vps rom

Def ! I"m Trying To get some Answers now.... Hoping MAybe it's Just the New Build he Used..... If that' sthe Case I"ll take the build he's using and just make my Own Rom. SOmeone said Is had Some To Do with the XIP file And they Can't Duplicate it. WM thing ? Which is Confusing, No Matter What build We use or Rom it's still WM So Im trying to get some Answers.... I Just can't believe MOre People haven''t Complained about this. I Mean IT's a Multi-Tasking Phone ?! ? I mean to Not be Able To Txt, Type, Email , And TAlk At the Same time Means I should have Just gotten a regular phone And called it the day you know ?

Yeah I just Read it And replied.... so If it's fixed in This Build I guess I should use his Build to Build my own Rom Just th eWay I want it. That's The Only Option I could come up with so Far. Vp3g's rom Looks And is Stable but the TnT Rom Has EVERYTHING that I use as far as apps Are concerned so I"m back against a wall here....

Tmobile is sending me my 3rd Dash, I know this one is gonna be the same lagged out pos. They offered a shadow, but that phone is garbage. Should I just keep playing this send back the phone, get a new one and hope they offer me something better, or take this new phone they're sending and flash the rom right away?

If you flash the rom with one from kavana or rickwyatt you always have the option of putting the original rom if you need to send it back again.
word, now the tedious task of finding out the best rom and the instructions for installation, this forum is a mess lol
to tell you the truth is not too bad i upgrated mine in like 15 to 20 minutes last night, im ussing rickwaytt version 23 if u want to downloaded it have the link in my signature just make sure you unlock ur phone. if u got any question just post it here ill try to help but there is plenty of people willing to help around here
Do not get the Shadow, it is garbage... trust me...
Speed sounds more important to you than anything.
1) Use Kavana's ROM, or, even better, Ricky's Vanilla ROM
2) Do not install Voice Command.
3) Do not choose a CHome homescreen with the media goodies.
4) Install your most essential apps to the devince, never to the storage card. Install nothing non-essential.
5) Overclock it to 240. This is solid on any dash.
Do the above and your phone will be as fast as anything on the market, and as funtional, at this point in time. If it still doesn't suit your needs, get a different phone and a dedicated UMPC and 'tooth them.
p.s. I'm also on my 3rd dash,and Tmo has nothing else I would accept. I've checked. and tried a wing and a shadow first hand.

There is a program install that I've read it works like My favs, but i dont use it as much so i cant realy say how well it works.
Don't Worry
It just means that the neat T-Mobile MyFaves interface won't be there. Whenever you call someone on my faves, the charges are still the same; their phone number hasn't changed so why would calling one of them by dialing their phone number change?
You can still add an app that will put a MyFaves like feature on your phone. Plus, there are ROMS with this feature built into it.

cause i read online, before i got mine, that the screen would break if i dopped it, and i gotta tell ya ive dropped mine a few times and it doesnt even have a scratch on it.
I was wondering myself what the differences are between Rick and Kavana ROM. I have very successfully installed the Kavana 080408 ROM and it is awesome, but I hear a lot of people raving about Rickys ROM.
What version is the best (I dowloaded the v14 version)?
I love the way Kavana runs and looks. Speed is awesome and interface is fast (not overclocked).

Run the latest Ricky's rom. I have it below. A lot of problems are fixed in this rom and its really nice. Ricky's rom is just an updated version of Kavana with the bugs fixed and all.
are there any images somewhere. I imagine it looks pretty much the same as kavanas. Right?

Well, it is but there are some new applications and a lot of bugs fixed. Plus it has Chome slim which could be changed from the tools folder and then go to extras. (check it out you can change a lot of stuff from there and you can make it transparent and all). Check it out and mess around with it once you download it.

I am looking for a rom which is best for me. I text ALOT (using hard keyboard and soft keyboard) the soft keyboard i want to use T9 (phone keypad) but it doesnt work on phenox 2 thats why im looking for a different rom. I use it to make phone calls, surf the web, check emails, calender to keep track of my stuff... <<< these are the main things i do every day. so im looking for a ROM which best fits my needs and want to see what everyones opinion is...
I would also like to adjust the vibrate because it vibrates for too long right now which is loud on when its on the table (so i have to always put it on silent)...
I like the fact my weather/calender events is on the main today screen...
so reading from what i like to do with my phone, what is everyones opinion on which ROM would work the best for me?

Honestly... You and about a hundred others have asked various questions about ROMs. You will not get a real answer here about what you have asked. If you dont have time to test the ROMs... stick with the stock ROM. I use the stock 6.1 ROM and Im very happy with it. I tried 6.5 and hated it.
Im not trying to be a jerk about it... sorry if it comes off that way, but I would hate for you to waste time being hopeful that someone will help with ROM selection.
yeah i know what you mean... I'm actually thinking about maybe going back to 6.1... but maybe a custom 6.1 rom.

Hi all, can someome please help me (this may not be the right place to ask, sorry). I have been using Azrael X 4.0, and before that, using
Azrael 3.something, always with Netarchy 4.3 bfs havs more, and Riptide9 v13.
Whenever I drive across towns, the weather does not update, or if it does, it takes quite some time and often the town isnt quite right, and sometimes doesn't update at all (i have it checked for synching)...at night, it often tells me its partly sunny until I manually refresh it...all in all, the whole phone has been acting bogged down from the get-go...is it the ROM, the Theme, the Kernel, or a combo of all? Can someone here please make suggestions, I get really frustrated and I shouldnt have to, there have to be solutions out there, I just dont have any....the weather is whats really frustrating...ill flash a new kernel if need be, but i like the ROM and the Theme...but if its the combo of those, ill get rid of whatever...i just want my phone to be able to tell me what town im in, and what the weather is without me having to go in and hit refresh manually 5 times before it catches up with where i am.....
Also, I get the voicemail notification non-stop...i have to go into settings, calls, then Clear Voicemail...several times a day....could someone PLEASE PLEASE make suggestions...

ive heard of that happening on different sense roms lately maybe try clearing cache's? or a different weather app. i just update manually when needed. no problems whatsoever.
hey first off i would like to say im new to rooting and these forums so sorry if i make and mistakes.
i rooted my desire hd with what seemed no promblems and installed the latest leedroid rom and kernals. All is going great but my phone doesnt give any message tones or vibrate when i get a text. i cant seem to fix this problem so im asking on here if i have missed something easy.

same problem here
I also sit with the same problem. It seems that there is a major problem with this particular build. I also repeatedly get a message app crash with the option to "Tell HTC or Force Close" This is really irritating. Is there maybe a better ROM to move to?
