Hi there,
can anyone give me a link of where to download Touchflo 3d for Touch HD??
I've recently found a thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470164 which compressed whole manila files to make the Touchflo 3d relatively smaller and faster to the original one, but this is for diamond only, I'm looking for something that suit for my touch hd, if anyone got what i'm looking for, please let know, many thanks!!
wrong post ?
dude, the Touch HD comes with Touchflo as standard, why on earth would you want to download it again ??
Also this is a the wrong part of the forum to post on !!, if you havent got it, then contact your phone provider

I believe lynne02191 is asking for a compressed/sleeker version of HD Manila (i.e., the images in Manila's qtc files are compressed) that runs more smoothly, etc. than the stock version, and this would be the right place to discuss this, IMHO.
I think with the inherent capabilities of the HD, as well as the wonderful cooked ROMs people are making, Manila runs very well, and there is plenty of extra memory on the HD with it running, so a compressed/sleeker version may not be a priority.
Just my opinion, but this might explain why no one is trying to do something similar to the thread you linked, which was done to make HD manila run smoothly on the Diamond. Then again, someone may already be doing this, I do not know.
You may want to look here ( see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=470798) and look into the compression process.

Hi sk806,
Thanks for reply!
I've already been searching for a while, and I didn't found any version that is manila compressed but several .cabs which claimed are ported from the original blackstone manila.
after that, I installed all of them, but the result disappointed me, since I've encounterred many problems from the procedures.
anyway, like what u said, there are plenty of nice ROMs around there which run HD manila very well, so I won't bothering meself from searching anymore

thanks, it looks really nice, I'll test asap
KWBR's ROM; 'a Touch of HD' uses Chainfire's CFC
and TouchFLO runs VERY VERY nice, mean it's night and day difference!
i tried the "live patch" before flashing a full ROM but it didn't work on the HD, Chainfire is too busy at the moment to fix that up

I love the new ROM but still having slowness issues with Diamond TF3D Config.
What are the odds that Dutty would make his ROM and leave that off so we could add it as we wish?
Any possibility?
Thanks,
Mark
Post in his ROM release thread, might be able to make you a cab? I am interested too.

I havent seen any slowness using tf3d config in rom, but if majority counts to leave it out i could no in future
PS Please post in my thread if you got questions releated to my roms instead of creating a new thread
lol, it is not possible that the rom is slowlier only because my tool is installed. That makes no sense. Just installing an app which is not running in background has no effect to the speed of your device.

2x Agree!!!
It's complete non-sense...
But besides that, this kind of issues should be raised inside the "Diamond TF3D config" thread, because if there was an issue with this application, it had to do with the aplication itself and not with the rom...

But if the application is built into the ROM and therefore ends up running, then the end problem is the same.

I beg to differ. If you read your thread, there were a couple of others that noticed it.
And on top of that... I installed the 1.3 or 1.4 ROM and had no issues. The moment I installed the TF3D configuration, I had a pause everytime I could hit contacts in the contact app.
I tried to uninstall it and it wouldn't work so I installed the new 1.93 ROM from HTC. I had no hesitation.
I then reinstalled Dutty's 1.5 and immediately had the same hesitation.
The program is great and perhaps it's just me but everytime I install it I have a hesitation.
I'm about to install ver 1.4 so we'll see if it works again....
Mark
Opps, can't.... version 1.4 has it also.
I'll play around and see....
Thanks,
Mark
ehm...only chaning the theme makes manila a bit slow and maybe some tweaks are making some devices slow.
But NOONE has the issue, that just after installing my tool or just after running and exiting my tool the device got slowlier. It is absolutely impossible.

It may be impossible but check out post 556 and 559 on your thread.... there's two more people having the same problem. I'm not dissing your work at all.... I think the software is fantastic, I'm just making sure I'm not the only one having a problem and if I am, I want to fix it.
Now, on to something else you said... I DID install a theme when I originally installed it. However, I've installed it since then with no themes and still find it sluggish.
I just reinstalled a completely different ROM (Diamond Project) just to see if I would have a problem. The problem is still there and I just noticed that it has the TF3D program built into it.
I'll try some other ROMs and see if that changes it.
Thanks,
Mark

I found out what the problem is.... You were right. It's not the TF3D program making it slow, it's actually when you hit the second tab (what is it, people?) and then hit all people.
There is a delay before pulling up a contact list.
Tonight I've installed 4 different ROMS and until I installed the last one which actually has "contact" in place of "phone" in the phone app, I realized if you click on contact, your contacts come up IMMEDIATELY.
If you hit people and then click on "all people" to pull up contacts, it DRAGS out. Each ROM has a different speed on pulling up the contacts but nonetheless, it's the damn TF3D software from HTC, not the TF3D config program you made.
My apologies, I was wrong and you were right... I'm starting to understand why so many people don't like the memory hog TF3D interface.
Looks cool but what a slow PIA.
Thanks, just thought I'd let you know....

When I first read this thread I thought surely you are confusing TouchFLO 3D itself with the TF3D Config utilty! You do realise TouchFLO 3D is simple to disable? Just got to Start>Settings>Today>Items and uncheck TouchFLO 3D.

Yes sir, I did know you can disable it. It's just that I didn't notice it was sluggish until I added the config program so I assumed (yeah, I know....lol) that was the problem.
All is well now.

Hello? Is it possible to make cab files for Touch HD with some features of Duttys HD XTREME?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=483822
The most important for me are:
- callendar tab
- new clock settings and alarm look (hate old one)
- new keyboard
- new HTC Contact card
- new HTC Notification
Hope that someone will be able to make it. Changing the ROM isn't the best way to me. I think that many of You agree with this.
Thanks! You are the best!
Sounds really good features that I would like too...
What is also the HTC socialnetworks for facebook ?
I don't really agree with you dude, the best way is to change the ROM
it isn't so difficult
well, the cab is a good idea and a bad idea.....
itslike his trademark, i wouldnt give it away really....
I'd also say that the phone would run faster if you flashed the ROM, adding apps will probably not be as smooth.
mabe you can ask here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=482258
he made the new keypad from dutty's rom 1.8, mabe if we ask he will make the touchflo too.

totally disagree. Dutty is a great coocker but clearly that manila was "stolen" from a new rom for diamond2, so isn't his creation. And I don't think he wants to keep it only for his rom, I think he's too busy to release a decent cab and effort all support request for it once released. He's releasing and testing for blackstone and xperia for now, I'm sure a cab will appears as soon as he finished the job
As far as I know, the "new" Manila was not stolen. Rather Dutty created the whole thing himself, as was stated by a beta tester in the appropriate thread. Of course I can be wrong though.
Crossposting!
Like I replied before, it can not be done. It's all intergratid into the new Manilla. It's a complete package. Justflash the ROM if you like the new features.

I have a great faith in dutty's abilities but that's is simply impossibile We don't even know how to decompile/recompile lua script, some progress are only recently made with m9editor but we can't create ourselves such complicate funcions like landscape support.

hahaha. Dutty is the master of all ROMS, but do you really think he Photoshoped the whole interface together himself?
photoshop? lol
do you near imagine what's behind manila? Graphic is a really little stupid thing compared to all the rest, manila is lua+xml script
it would be a good idea ....
well, therefore somebody who have dutty 1.8 installed should try to find the necc. files. For now i have no time to install 1.8 - sorry - maybe in some days i have more time for it ..

Well... that may be, but for me (and perhaps for some others too) the sexy interface of TouchFlo 3D is the main reason I bought a Diamond and later an HD... (well, the devices don't look that bad either).
I would hold back on Flashing the 1.8 EXTREME rom. There are some memory leaks and bugs left, right and centre. I suspect it i based on something swiped from the new Touch Diamond 2. It needs more work on it from HTC before the bugs are ironed out.
I currently have the 1.8 ROM from Dutty and i needed to make an emergency call and the phone pad disappeared (went completely white and blocky) Also Opera complained that it was out of memory at one point. I only had the xda-developers website open.
Memory usage at idle has increased by 20-30%
This isn't Dutty's fault however, he's done a good job of assembling together the new HTC software into a deployable package.
well i'd love the new TF3D but i won't be flashing any roms to my device just yet as its only a week old.
I may be very wrong about this but it would seem the new touch pro 2 is based on pretty much the same chipset as our beloved HD so as i see it we should be able to get this new sw running silky smooth eventually.
With that said does anyone know for sure the difference between qualcomm's 7200 chipset and the HD's 7201A chipset?

you can't have looked around this forum very hard, there are quite a few roms/cabs which will suit your needs!

TIP: The model shown is a Touch HD look in there for the custom ROM, that he showed in the video.
Like Addicteddddd mentioned, In the Diamond ROM DEV forum there are many ROMs with segments of the Topaz and Rhodium ROMS (diamond2 and Touch pro 2) but not as complete as the one shown. look at Skaks1979, udK and cloudyfa's most recent ROMs(to name a few).
Take time to search the forum.
Thanks
You can upgrade your phone with nearly all of this functions if you use Xbmod tools: Rhodium TF3D, Menu enhancement and Notification cabs.
Alternatively U use one of the mentioned roms (or Vic's newest rom) and just add Xbmod Rhodium cabs.
Read the instruction carefully and it will work!
i don't think it worth doing.
1. diamond 2 is a WVGA screen, means it is hard to migrate tf3d to diamond
2. diamond 2 uses also windows mobile 6.1, which we can get from anywhere
something worth should be some new version oem applications.
As everyone knows no modification made for manila 2.1 works on 2.5
No graphics and no clocks
The hitch was that we didnt know how to name the files. Here is how-!
READ the post and see the video
I can proudly announce that i realised the naming algorithm is like this after doing a little research
IF ANYONE HAS ALREADY DONE THIS BEFORE..I DIDNT FIND IT FOR SURE
it is as simple as this
Manila naming algorithm/
Anything in home.mode9 file shuld be started with a .\home\whatever it was in m9editor
example
.\Assets\Images\Home\VGA\TabSinglesandNotificationIcons.qtc
to
.\home\Assets\Images\Home\VGA\TabSinglesandNotificationIcons.qtc
anyhting in internet shuld have
.\internet
anything in a mode9 file shuld have the name before it.
so on so forth

hey mate,
could u explain a bit more?...i mean, when i included new pictures in my mod, it was no problem to get it done.
i think this find is just for "cosmetic" purposes isnt it?..or is it needed for other things than qtc's?
hmm..i do think we should write a bigger tut on how things are going on there..now its like only a few pieces which make it pretty difficult to even start..i dunno how it is in the diamond or touch hd forums though?

not sure if it is possible due to the hardware used. WQVGA cannot support TF3D and it would be pretty cool to have TF3D on my Omnia and many people are asking, but i don't see it happening. If anyone could shed any light that would be cool.
not on the omnia but the incite does support this software. it has awsome graphics chip.
actually if i recall incite is vga and you can port tf2d but not 3d. you may try 3d 2.1 though shouldn't brick your phone if you wanna try
I don't think there's any WQVGA Manila port, but you can always try TF2D 2.0, which is very similar looking to the Leo builds of Manila. Some small modifications were also made to make it WQVGA compatible.
I'm sorry but wich working qvga version do you mean?
