MMS on wm6.1 x_plode7 - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I am happy to be using wm6.1 x_plode 7 and haven't had a need until recently for MMS.
I have my operater setting but can't find the MMS settings in my 'settings'. I susect it was not on my rom's release.
Can someone please help with cabs to install this.
Thanks,
Sammy.

It took me a while to find the settings too, i foudn them if you go to the MMS inbox > Menu > Tools > Options > MMS > Servers
If that's not there, I can't remember which cab it is

Options > MMS > Servers
Click to collapse
I don't have the MMS or server options....
Does anyone know where I can get the cabs for MMS please ?

HELP MMS Configuration under WM5

Hi All
I've been reading all over the forums and searching for a configuration manual or something but I can't find anything! Please help me configure me device!
here are the settings but I don't know where to put them:
MMS Vivatel
Home Page------- mmsc. vivatel.bg
APN--------------- mms. vivatel.bg
IP----------------- 192.168.123.123
Port (WAP 1.X)--- 9201
Port (WAP 2.0)--- 8080
Username-------- "mms"
Password--------- "mms"
go to your outlook inbox
at the bottom of your screen on the right: tap on menu
than you get a popup screen where the bottomchoice should say "MMS Configuration"
tap on that, than you get three tabs. Choose for the "Servers" tab, add a new server and make it your default server.
that should do it.
i checked out my outlook inbox but it has no options for mms configuration... i lost all my mms after i upgrade to wm5 and now i dont know if i can still recieve them coz i have no mms inbox/outbox... can any body help pls?
Look in the BlueAngel Upgrading forum for tuma 1.3 upgrade. On that thread there's a lot of post on how to resolve this. What I used was:
To configure up your MMS Account do the following 13 step process:
1). Check that you have "MMS Configuration ..." available in your Outlook Menu. If you don't then something has seriously gone wrong. Did you install the "ArcsoftMMS-TuMa.cab" file through the EXTROM or manually? If not - do so now. MMS is NOT available in the Base ROM.
2). Click it, and just ensure that it comes up and is active. The about should say "MMS Composer Version 3.0.7.11"
3). Click [ok] and close it.
4). Menu -> Tools -> New Account
5). Enter "[email protected]" as your email (doesn't matter what). Click Next.
6). Detect settings ... wait ... Click Next.
7). Enter a username "mms" will do. Click Next.
. Select "MMS" as the Account Type. Click Next.
9). Incoming Server = "mms", Outgoing Server = "mms". Click Finish.
10). Finally ... click "NO" to not download mail for this account.
11). Now go back to Menu -> "MMS Configuration ..." -> Servers
12). Edit and modify the "Sample Server" to your required settings ... (which I can't help you with)
13). Presto ... you now have an MMS account.

ok..but now my concern is..do i need the tuma romv1.3 installed before i can install arcsoftmms.cab? or can i just have this cab separately installed?
thnx again!
i don't know if you can install it seperatly, maybe you can ask this in the tuma 1.3 thread

MMS on wm6

where is the mms folder for mms on wm6.I can't find it!!!
It isn't enabled by default, but the installation file is in the Windows folder.
Open Windows and look for HTC_set.cab , tapping which installs the MMS folders in Messaging.
There is also an HTC_List.cab file, which adds a list of operator settings to the MMS Server settings, but I found the Orange ones didn't work, though using the Settings file via the HTC Website's WM5 ROM update page worked OK.
thakns a lot
i will try
Don't have it in Windows
Can somebody post the cab file please?
MMS ON wm6
I dont find it!
Some of the later WM6 ROM's have MMS integrated into the SMS folder
- have you looked there?
Just go to a picture and select send as...mms will show up and it will send. Do not know why they include sms and mms together. But as long as you downloaded the correct settings for your network, mms will work.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"yes. it's now hidden. just start to create a new mms message, and you have the option to configure the mss setting under 'menu', 'option', 'message option'."
Hello,
please, can someone upload the HTC_set.cab-file or provide information how I can enable mms support manually?
thank you,
dartrax

It probably does not have a working MMS package. Look for a different ROm or search for Arcsoft MMS cabs and install to see if it helps. Use search per the link below in my signature!

is ur mms already cooked in the rom
r you installed it from a cab file
if u anstalled it from a cab file
then run your connection setup again
after installing the MMS cab file.
cheers
Not sure if this is relevent, but you might also need the MMS settings for your provider.
No ROM which I have installed so far has automatically found the MMS settings. I've had to search, download and install a .cab file which is specific to my network.
If the rom you have has the settings wizard cooked in (generally in connections settings) then run that AFTER the Arcsoft cab has been installed... That should fix your problem...
Cheers..

again, more details please, what flavour did you install as I remember the lite ones don't include MMS software like arcsoft, which you have to download and install.
also some mms versions don't have a new category, then you can find the MMS in SMS
The rom is the full version, I installed Arcsoft 4.2 as this has the seperate mms/sms folders but still nothing on my phone!

Did you rerun "Connection Setup" after installing Arcsoft? Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connection Setup. It will properly set your MMS settings for your carrier.
yo kid,do you actually have mms in your message centre when you press the message button or select messages/mail?if so then select mms then menu-tools-options,select mms and edit the default setting or if you wish create new one.your settings will most likely be here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299023&highlight=stevieboy
otherwise run the connection wizard as suggested.

mms on 6.1

im using a variant of windown mobile 6.1 that doesnt seem to have mms with the text messages option, is there a cab file that i can use to install mms
Device Update
U need Arcsoft MMS
i've uploaded the device update.
install the cab file and download the software u need..
u shud get a hold of HTC connection wizard which automatically configures your connection.. great application
and download arcsoftmms too.
but u have to configure the mms options in the messaging menu and choose the server.
the connection wizard might configured the server for you. or you have to create a new one manually according to your telco.
thank you!
no problem buddy.
just come back to update your status
im back lol, arcsoft mms is totally configured, but i only see an mms sending option, how exactly do i receive mmses?
go to your message box click on the menu and into MMS options.
go to the servers tab.
you should see your operator server there if u had the HTC connection wizard ran.
just set the settings to default.
if the settings isnt there, u'll have to configure the settings manually. try search for the operator settings on google by typing "operator name" mms server settings.
that shud help
Am I doing something wrong or is this Arcsoft MMS removed from the Device Update Database?
Where should we get it now?
is it? it should be there.
did u installl arcsoft mms in your device already? maybe u could try searching for the cab files.

I am sorry for my very late response. I still can't find the program in Device Update. I've tried to search for a .cab but this is like warez because normally it is baked into the ROM, I have a lite ROM now without MMS app. I don't think this is why MMS app is not listed because I have had a ROM before without MMS (at least I think), then MMS was listed in DU.
Kind of confusion to me.
I just checked and it is listed under system.
Getting more strange now:
Device Update:
Error loading catalog.
Check Internet Connectivity and try again
Nothing changed and wifi is working for all other progs.
So dont use it! if it dont works, is not the only way to get it... Btw the topic is mms on 6.1 no CRCDU issues.
Come on boys
use the search option upper right corner from XDA bar....
ARCSOFT MMS COMPOSSER...
Yes totally offtopic, I am sorry for that. The problem was client side by the way. I did a hardreset and internet is working correctly now. But...more strange: all of a sudden ArcSoft MMS Composer 4.2.8.1 is installed...must be something wrong with the original install...
Well...my case fixed. Other persons will manage with the search tags + Que PPC gave haha.
