Back to WM5 : Error 294

I tried to downgrade from FAMAN 4.03 to original WM5 (RUU_Trinity_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_Ship) but I have error 294 (invalide vender ID).
I have to send my phone to customer support.
Someone can help me?

why you want to downgrade?

Extract the files, and copy the .nbh-file into another updatepackage. The unofficial updaters on xda push sspl onto the device which will not check whether the vendor is the correct one.

I use an updater from offical htc website (from htc eclub).
So I don't understand why I can't downgrade.
I had an htc prophet and downgrade from WM6 to WM5 with no problem.

J'ai utilisé la mise à jour du site officiel (depuis le eclub htc).
Je ne comprend pas pourquoi je n'arrive pas à downgrader.
J'ai eut un HTC Prophet et j'ai pu repasser de WM6 à WM5 sans problème.

As said by Lost_in_translation the problem is the updater, when you install wm6 you change spl, so HTC updater doesn't recognize your device

I extracted the FAMAN 4.02 updater and I replaced the file "RUU_signed.nbh" by the file "TRINIMG_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_Ship.nbh" from RUU_Trinity_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_Ship (extracted & renamed).
But I have the same message "error 294 (invalide vender ID)".
I wil test with the FAMAN 4.03.
Any idea ?

J'ai décompressé la mise à jour FAMAN 4.02 et j'ai remplacé le fichier "RUU_signed.nbh" par le fichier "TRINIMG_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_Ship.nbh" depuis RUU_Trinity_HTC_FRA_1.23.406.2_103_6275_1.38.00.11_108_Ship (extrait et renommé).
Je vais essayé avec la FAMAN 4.03.
Une autre idée sinon ?

No But I test it (Hold side Camera and POWER buttons together and reset with stylus) : same error.

flash hard spl 1.20 (can follow the guide on my site) and then manually enter bootloader and flash original wm5 rom

Hi at all, i have same problem and i try downgrade hard spl olipro 1.3 to 1.2 and not downgrade still have 1.3, i enter boot manually of course i test only can downgrade and upgrade roms " faman " and vodafone oficial but not wm5 oficially htc and not wm6.1 like mary's etc.
Any idea ??

I flash with hard spl 1.20.
Then I downgrade with official htc updater to WM5 with no problem (without enter in bootloader manually !).

Puis j'ai downgrader avec l'outil de mise à jour officiel HTC en WM5 sans problème (et sans entrer dans le bootloader manuellement !).

no no... i tested all builds till now and 20273 is very promessing.... very stable and fast ... a lot lower memory leakage... if somebody could put the 20273 as a build for this .. it would be great

I didn't have tested thsi build, but i knwo that, for the moment, the best for me is the 19965

I had to add another fact : the boot is also faster (a lot more) as the lauch of TF3D ...
Great speed improvement in this rom since 1.37 one ...

Good ! The build 19965 is very stable and fast !

I have installed this rom and I notice that the case "clignoter pendant" of SMS (see options "sounds and configuration") is gray, with me she is blocked on 5 minute. I did not have this problem in my previous ROM, someone has a solution?

Je viens d'installer cette rom et je remarque que la case "clignoter pendant" concernant les SMS (voir les options "sons et configuration") est grisé, chez moi elle est bloqué sur 5 minute. je n'avais pas ce problème dans ma ROM précédente, quelqu'un a une solution ?

The only thing missing now is a sort of reverse
I mean, a pack that would make your phone like an SFR one after flashing SPL, ROM, radio, etc. including advanced wap proxy settings, user agent (IE + Opera) , some cabs like business mail, SFR navigation, etc, some registry tweaks (I suppose everybody hates the conversation stuff under SMS/MMS) and probably many other things that would me make flash my rom more frequently. Plus it could be installable/uninstallable very quickly in one package !!
Anyway thanks for your work !!
P.S: does somebody know how to make SFR Navigation work on a flashed device ? (i can download the cab from SFR wapsite, it installs without problem, but when opening, it says connection failure. It seems it doesn't event try to connect to the WAP although it is was it is supposed to do).

hello guys, please i have an important question, i live in paris and i have the htc diamond with "sfr", i flashed my rom to 1.93 yesterday and it was all good, but then i lost all internet settings with sfr (which is normal after updating) i called sfr to get back all the settings, and i got internet back again, but the lady on the phone said that because i have internet free(illimytic 3g+) internet is free only if i pass by vodaphone live, but now that i updated to the original 1.93 rom i have no more vodaphone on my phone. can anyone please explain to me?? am i going to be paying for internet every time i am going to connect, because that would be simply stupid coz i'm already paying for a free internet subscription.. waiting for your reply. thank you

i followed all the settings, but now when i type www.live.vodafone.com the page shows in a weird simple way. and not like way it used to show when i was on sfr rom. i seriously dont want to pay for the internet i' already paying 54 euros a month lol

pour accéder au portail vodafone taper http://live.vodafone.com et verifiez dans les connexions que vous êtes en wapsfr (gratuit avec le forfait illimytics) et non websfr.

kingwizzy, I've posted a step-by-step explanation on how to get the Vodafone portail back to normal here:

It has fixed the pbm for me and a bunch of others, hopefully it'll do the trick for you too.
There's a cab file also available here and there which does the same thing only easier for the user, but I prefer to do it manually to keep full control on what's going on in my ppc.

Nobody knows how to make SFR Navigation work on a flashed device ?

Yesterday, I tried to pass my rom faman 3.5 to another on the forum.
I didn't manage to establish the connection then I threw since the telephone the software trin unlock. The three-colored screen appeared.
I threw the rom update utility of the new rom and there that works.
Once to 100%, message of success and there, the remained telephone blocked on the logo htc to the starting, no button answers, inefficient hard-reset, obligated to take-off the battery.
I don't have a telephone anymore, help me!

I can access to boot loader by pressing power and camera touch.
Vista take a bip when i connect usb but i can't make another rom, error 260 or for anyone rom, just 1% of install and nothing.

et apres toujours en bootloader reflash la rom et là tu veras tout est ok

Help for SPV M650

Bonjour, je possède un SPV M650.
J'ai lu un peu partout sur le forum tous les conseils sur ce téléphone mobile, mais c'est un peu le bordel pour s'y retrouver, surtout avec toutes les roms de dispos, je ne sais pas celles qui sont compatibles ou pas avec le M650 !
Je souhaiterais installer la dernière rom compatible sachant que par la suite, je compte également installer Tomtom (s'il n'y est pas déjà inclus dans la rom).
Je précise que mon SPV M650 n'est plus utilisé pour Orange, mais SFR.
Il a donc été débloqué. Pour le moment je possède la rom "Release Aje_fr 3.00 Beta 3 Nini" mais Je ne sais pas si c'est la dernière compatible et s'il y a mieux ou plus récent (apparemment oui car je tourne sur WM6.1 et non pas WM6.5)......Par ailleurs si vous me conseillez de la garder, j'aimerais savoir comment configurer le GPS pour installer tomtom,et de manière générale, avec d'autres roms, comment configurer le GPS pour qu'il fonctionne avec tomtom. D'ailleurs, est ce que la dernière version de tomtom fonctionne t elle avec le M650?

Do you have USPL your M650 with SPL 1.11.cmon ?
If you have 1.11.0000, you must upgrade to 1.11.cmon
or If you have another SPL, you must to upgrade to 1.11.0000 and after with 1.11.cmon

Hi dude, keep your Aje_fr 3.00 rom, I tried to install the lastest Rom Fr 6.5 , but it's too slow. But the Gps works fine, don't worry.

I'm not agree with you, the Shady's ROM or dheewatara-s's rom is faster than 6.1 rom

I would like Upgrade my Artemis but my usb connexion doesn't work. than I cann't change the SPL (1.84.0000).
When I try to update by the Sd card, It dispay 'certificate invalid'.

Try reboot your Phone and your PC.
You can tried to upgrade with (Orange04_2007) :
-erxtract .nbh
-rename in ARTEIMG.nbh
-Verify your SD-DARD if FAT32 compatibility
-Copy the file into the SD-Card
-Verify the charge of your battery (over 50%)
-reboot your phone in bootloader mode.
