Hi, can someone please post the original G1 bootloader image?
This will be helpful for anyone who wants to fall back (for god knows what reason) to the original (ugly) "T-Mobile G1" boot image.

Hey guys,
I recently bricked my MyTouch trying to upgrade to the new cyanogen ROM. I need help. I am going to send it back to T-Mobile under warranty, but I need revert back to the old SPL. I tried the "Unroot" procedure (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=547133), but it says "Checksum Incorrect!" I will also need the original recovery image.
Any Ideas or can you guys point me in the right direction? PLEASE HELP!! They said that if they find issues that were not covered by warranty (i.e. Rooting the phone), I will owe $390.
By the way, fastboot still works if that helps.
Think I might have figured it out. I'm a retard. The checksum issue was because my SAPPIMG.nbh file was 11 MB instead of 96 MB like it should have been! How I did that I don't know, but I will post again and confirm if it worked.
Worked! (Foot in Mouth)
Anyone have the Borgey ROM? The inc.sodpit website stopped giving it out, and now I am stuck with a phone that has no signal, so I need to get back to the stock rooted ROM (I didn't do a backup, know I hate myself) anyone have it that they can put it up or send me? Thanks

thanks, i just emailed him but who knows when he will get back

Thank you
I have an HTC EVO V and I have unlocked the bootloader, however, when I attempted to 'flash a new ROM' the file called for 'CWM-SuperSU-v0.87' -however- I saw the upgraded version 'CWM-SuperSU-v0.96' so, instead of using the prescribed file I saved the new one instead to my phone. I then 'deleted the cache' and if I remember correctly my phone screen went the white background with green lettering and was stuck on that screen for probably 10min? So, I took out the battery and I had my stock ROM but when I went to change clocks, my widget clocks were gone and also, I am trying to flash the stock ROM to get them back I guess? But, I am unable to flash a ROM now or even root my phone. I hope I have not soft bricked it! I know it's probably just a file that needs to be uploaded or something but I don't know what to do to fix this and if someone helps me here I promise I won't do it again! Please help me! I want to root my phone but I don't care about flashing a rom now I just want my phone to do whatever I want and when I am more comfortable with flashing ROM's then I will try that but for now Rooting is all I need with my original ROM.
What method did you use to unlock your bootloader?
I don't know exactly what is wrong HELP!!!

OK, I am not trying to spam and I am a new member -well old but I have never posted before that I can remember- But here is where I fonud the info for the process htcevohacks htc-evo-4g-lte-root how-to-root-htc-evo-4g-lte unlock-bootloadertwrp-recovery/[/url]
I brought it up to the point where I erased the cache. Then I am not exactly sure what happened after this. But it was stuck on the white HTC screen.

That method is for the EVO 4G LTE. The forum for that device can be found here:

This is the OG EVO forum.
I have MIUI 2.3 on my old T-Mobile G2 that I need to use temporarily on AT&T. It is rooted (can't remember, but probably HBOOT root), but it must be unlocked. Unfortunately, GFree isn't working. Without doing a factory reset, is there a stock/older kernel available that will work with GFree? I couldn't seem to find one in the General forum. There was a link in the unlocking tutorial to a known GFree compatible kernel, but it was a .img file...and I don't know how to load that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
images are flashed with fastboot
fastboot flash boot xxx.img
(just change xxx to name of image)
i dont know if simply flashing a stock kernel will work so you may need to downgrade further to root the proper way. if you are need of more help doing this setherio made a great guide to do this otherwise there are always many helpful people in the irc channel. or let me know where your stuck and i can see if i can help anymore

Thank you my friend. With your help I eventually, eventually got it unlocked. Apparently root/unlock is *difficult* w/ Gingerbread. After that had to add an APN just to get EDGE, too.
As the title says, I have a brand new unopened 7" tab 3, its for my young daughter so am going to flash the kids rom but before I do anything then I'd like to dump the full stock rom, both for me just in case and if anyone else would need it. Have made nand backups of loads of my android phones so that I can do fine, but want to do a stock back up whichever way is either easier or best. Would be grateful if anyone could either point me in the direction of a guide, or post the best way to do this and also a way to 'host' the finished dump so I can post it here if anybody needs it.
If they could also explain the easiest way to go from brand new stock, to rooted/CWM/new rom that would be cool too
Thanks, and hope when done this may assist someone.
Oh, UK spec tab.
