As I was googling around & searching for themes for my HD, I passed by some excellent themes that were created by Djoub..
Truely amazing themes with classy designs & vibrant colors, yet in cool style
Unfortunately, they were only for the Diamond!
Anyway,
Can you here me Djoub? Any one..?!
I'd really appreciate it if I could find some of his themes...
hmmmmmmmmm
looks like there's alot of interested folks but no actual replies or openions here....
Very well..
Allow me then to post Djoub's skin site for you to check out his amazing work..
The skins are compatable with Diamond but unfortunately not the HD

Seems like I'm only talkin to myself ...
Oh well.. whatever ..

FINALLY !!
A reply from my favorite developer
Actually, I tried once experimenting on one of the diamond themes to turn it into HD's using manila editor... The new theme just didn't work !
I googled my way around to find out a way to adjust the bottom slider bar so that it fits the HD screen (basically that's why we can't use diamond themes on HD ) but found no answer what so ever...!!
Q: how can I adjust the screen dimentions in manila files so that it fits the HD screen?
Perhaps if I only knew how to do that... I might start porting some themes myself
mallman,
can you help me out here with a hint or two?

in my opinion the best way to do it is to grab his theme and export all the png icons out of it. Next you need to grab your HD manila files and start replacing them with his. With a little patience and just going one by one you will end up with his theme and it will fill your whole screen
You can copy and paste all of your manila files out of your \windows folder on your HD then point manil editor to those files.
oh and thanks for calling me your fav but i pale in comparison to what some of these devs do here.

& that's exactly what I tried to do in the first place !
last night I thought I'd give it another shot; I extracted all manila + png files from my HD, & tried to replace some manilas using the manila editor like I should.. But I couldn't
Every time I try replacing a file, an error message appears saying something like "parameters are not valid" !
I googled for a solution & I thought I need to update the .NET Framework & problem should be solved.. but it hasn't
I'll try again later... This is my project as a beginner in PPC world
Thanks mallman for your advice..
I am also interested to know if anyone has successfully converted Djoub's themes for the HD. Especially the Hell Theme.

I know people are using clocks from the Diamond forum and Ive noticed some popular people from that forum also cooking ROM's but has anyone got an analogue clock to work or know how to create them ?
current TF3D on HD does not allow for analog clocks (not implemented). You can use analog clocks, but you will loose the calls list and upcoming appointments.

Thats one of the reasons I want an analogue clock. Ive tried various ones from the diamond forum but they all show a black bar at the bottom of the screen.
Is the implementation something that HTC have to do?

well here is one thing i figured out this morning. While installing a digital Christmas clock i found on the diamond forums, i screwed up my screen as you describe. i thought it wierd because usually you don't do that with the digital ones, they pretty much just swap out not problem. I noticed that an extra manila file was added to the clock archive I downloaded. that file being "1c684cd8_manila"
I placed the one that came with the HD back (attached below in this post in a zip) in the /windows folder and had my screen back and the clock works fine. Anyone interested in trying an analog clock and copying this file back to /windows to see if this makes the current analog clocks work? I am too tired ot mess whit it right now lol.

wouldnt go for a analog clock for exactly the same reason
As for implementing its up to HTC what to implement or not, dont think anyone can push them to make a feature happen. So we've to wait and see what the release in the future.
Meanwhile we can try to patch the current manilas a bit Many details are known, and many little improvements are already done. I guess there's much more possible with the current knowledge, i'm currently working on a few tools to dig a bit deeper inside. Not a major breakthough yet, but one step beyond.

on the diamond the orange branded ROM, there was an analog clock at the TF3D Home page
Doesn't really know if its the same on the HD!
Is there a possibility to change the font of the clock?
I put a new font on the HD already, but the clock stayed the same.
Would prefer a .cab to change

the one i posted is for the HD. By that i mean, when i installed the Diamond clock i had to drop that filed i posted in the /windows folder to fix it. So, again I ask, would dropping this in after installing an analog clock make it work?

no, you simply get the digital clock you had previously. With the original (HD) version of 1c684cd8_manila you can only get digital clocks.

just try it out!! you cant damage anything!!
edit: bzut if you copy the original 1c684cd8 back, you would get the flip clock! because in this file the layout of the start page is stored! and this is the file we need from an branded Hd with an Analog clock or a modified 1c684cd8 file....

cant tell why, but i had such a feeling
no worry, youll be safe. When you replace the 1c684cd8_manila and restart TF3D, the analog clock will show up. If you dont like it, simply delete 1c684cd8_manila and restart TF3D again. Then the ROM version will be used and youre back to the original.
Hi Guys, have anyone come across any themes for HD that has an analog clock like the one on the HTC Viva aka Jade aka 3G is really cool looking especially with the blue background, any chance that it could be ported to the HD ?

Thanks for the quick response mate, but its not exactly the same though, as the one from HTC 3G has both analog and digital it seem and at the same time it also shows the "Missed Calls" and "calender" ...I have search through the pages for days but can't seem to find a theme that looks like this, it could either be that it has not been done yet or I might have missed it
Cheers

Somewhere here on xda is a thread for a theme generator that is linked to this site: http://ppcthemeonweb.benthon.com/ThemeOnWebEn.htm
At that site, you can generate themes to your heart's content. You just have to get some Christmas images of your choice and save the Jpegs on your computer to be used by the online theme generator.
yes
Thanks man, really!!

You just need to know your screen resolution when you select the initial theme. Prior to this, you need appropriate pix stored in a directory. Then you will set up the landscape and portrait lay outs. If I remember correctly, once you tell the website you want to create the theme, it will provide a link for the download of the theme it creates using your info.
The developer did a nice job and does not add watermarks or other info indicating his site was used to create your theme.
I did one or two themes just after I discovered the thread here and have the exterior website as a Favorite.
If you're going to publish your theme, I'd recommend going to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page unless you're good at creating home made pix. Wiki Commons has pictures that are in the Public Domain that can be used without violating a copyright. Typically if you use a picture in the Common Domain, you might want to attribute where you found it and release using the same Public Domain license.
Using the Search box off to the left side of the screen will call up pictures.
Good luck!
I've tried it guick but it looks like it's not for blackstone? no WVGA res?
and in the preview with my pics, it looks like it's for devices without touch? I know it has nothing to do with touch or no touch, I just wants you to know wich phones I mean. Like blueberry devices.

It creates a very basic theme one probably more suited for non-touch/non-TouchFlo PDA or smartphone. It's capable of creating every smartphone's theme - you just need to know your phone's resolution. I don't have a Blackstone or knwo what WVGA is. I have built two basic QVGA themes for my Jade Clone because I looked up my resolution and worked with the online theme generator to build themes.
You have to become your own master if you want to have Christmas themes.
HTC Touch HD resolution is 480x800..
There were no such resolution to choose.
Tried HDWall but can't get it to work, will try even more
Thanks for your help man

Hola, most of it should be no problem and should work, but some trial & error is needed since the CHT VGA Port consists of "only" three manila files /(two Lua´s and one mode9). I´m checking on some peculiar things about the mini atm (I also have an HD2) to see what all is needed to adapt "any" HD2 CHT Theme for the mini - taskbars excluded cause they need their own dlls
I would love to have Dark Ninjas Android Taskbar...

I am not sure that is great theme but... i will try .
I like simple SPB layout but with some new widgets/icons/bars - that's what i am waiting for.
At this moment i am searching for something to edit registry or just add reg-keys.
After testing i will share my opinions.

Damn, HD Mini is very unlucky model :/
- manila 2.5 is very unmodern, not setupable interface (100 times worse than Android ones).
- All Manila modifies on forum are author visions and many times fonts or bgs they us are not acceptable. Also amateurs dont have posibility to make own files cuz we cannot fins realy good made tutorials for dummies.
- Oryginal SPB is the best interface but visualy quite ugly.
- SPB skin authors dont port their job to HVGA or make new ones on it (Even W7Theme is more WVGA skin and working bad on HD Mini).
- Finaly great application - CHT2.0 is also only ported to HVGA. All WVGA widgets are unsharp and many times displays wrong. Also CHT got huge fake - after uninstal some skins like Windroids, base program cannot turn back original icons and all interface is broken.
Only hope is SPB 5 with full support for HVGA will give us new fresh.
Till then I am praying for simple threads with lessons how to manualy rebuilding manila or CHT modules.
HD Mini got great look and best shape i keep in my life. Whats inside this model is mistake .

Still no themes compatible for our HD MINI?
SPB
It works fine, however, and most beautiful sense, at least not develop the themes HVGA.http://spb.com/products/mobileshell/
HVGA is fail resolution as well as HD Mini is failphone, support for HD Mini was droped as soon as the model was released, theres no chance anyone would do anything for fail phone with fail resolution and fail old OS ... get used to it, buy Desire S like me. Kept the mini just for lulz.

I have found a little workaround wich allows you to install custom HTC Sense skins on Wildfire S.
I downloaded Musiclover skin from HTC hub. Apk file of the skin is stored in "/sdcard/.data/HtcSkins/" in my case the name is "1146043.apk". All you need to do is grab the apk of installed skin, change png files, sign new apk, then put the apk back into HtcSkins folder with the same name. Reboot the device and Apply the downloaded skin in Personalize (it will still apear as Musiclover).
I made a test apk that works and changes the skin, you can try it. It is still test skin so some things will not work (the skin is not my work, it is PCB Sense resized for WFS resolution).
The real problem is lower resolution of WFS, so if you want to make custom skin you must resize all the images which is real pain in the *ss since all the new skins are made for WVGA devices and i realy dont have time to do more skins. Hope this will inspire someone with skinning skills.
Nice customized skin, May I ask did you change any xml or just image files?
EDIT: It reboots when playing music, still buggy, but good experiment

yeah, I didnt have time to resize all images, it was only test, but it is working so if someone capable of messing with skins, xml, 9.png files, can port some skins would be great, cause this works without root

Great work. Thanx dude. Always wanted to make my own custom skin but lazyness never permitted. Changing .png files was a pain.

I would love to use some of these Sense 2.1 Skins but first they must be resized to WFS 320x480 screen resolution. I would be glad to help in the conversion process if some dev explains me what to do. I guess editing just the .png and .jpg files won't do it...
Please customize status bar like a windows mobilephone(not WP7).
