I have received the unlocking code for the mda vario iii but there is no space to enter the code.
When I enter a foreign sim card it brings me to the following screen:
Top left: Sim lock
Main screen: Checking SIM lock status please wait
To make an emergency call, type the emergency number and tap emergency.
Then it has room to enter the emergency number.
I have tried running the simlock.exe from windows but still the same screen.
Let me know if you can help.
have you tried typing in the unlock code and pressing enter as one
would when typing in a normal simcode ?

Thanks.
The problem was with simlock.exe file in windows.
As soon as I have replaced it with the one found in a post it worked.
Well, I got this procedure from another forum but I tried it and it worked on my SFR Player addict!!!
Code:
Go to the registry, HKCU\System\State\PHONE, and wrote down the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry.
1. type *7465625*638*# to set
2. type the first 6 digits of the value of the IMSI entry here.
3. type your new NCK (12345678), then OK
3. type *#7465625# to check your lock (Network lock still enabled)
4. type #7465625*638*# and type your NCK (12345678)
5. Enjoy !
i try with this manipulation:
To unlock the p552 (orange network) you have to do the following :
1. Power ON your phone with a not allowed sim card (one that didn't come with the phone)
2. Type *#865625#SIMUNLOCK CODE (provided by your operator) - without clicking on the "call button".
3. A popup will appear telling you it's done.
but after Type *#865625#SIMUNLOCK CODE Nothing changes on the screen
plz i need help .................any one can help me
Hello to all the XDA DEveloper Forum !!!
Hi, this is my first post and a recomendation that I found in some sites, but I think shoul be usefull to have it here in XDA ( for beginners like me ) :
How to enter my Unlock Code on Nokia ?
=======================================
Nokia Lumia Input Instructions
1 - Insert a sim card that is not from the original network.
2 - Phone will now state the following:
This sim card can only be used on specific networks. Contact your customer service center for the unlock code. (it will also display how many attempts are left).
3 - Press the Enter Pin Button and enter your unlock code we supplied you to unlock your phone.
Nokia BB5 Code Input Instructions ( All Newish Nokia Phones are BB5)
1 - Switch ON your phone without SIM Card,
2 - Compose #PW+CODE+1#
To get letter P press * button quickly 3 times
To get letter W press * button quickly 4 times
To get letter + press * button quickly 2 times
3 - The phone show "SIM Restriction Off" and was unlocked !
Note: your unlock code is normally 15 digits long, sometimes you may get 2 codes for your nokia BB5 phone,
if this is the case the second code should be entered as #PW+CODE+1# just like the first code
IMPORTANT TIP ONLY FOR UK ORANGE LOCKED NOKIA
Some Orange UK Nokia codes may fail, if this is the case use +7# instead of +1# for the code to work
Nokia BB5 Models - with full keyboards (E5, E61 / E62 etc)
1. Insert a SIM Card not from the original network (IE one it's not locked to)
2. Turn on the handset - Undo request will display, press undo if prompted. (your phone may display "sim not recognised" if this is the case just start entering your code as in step3)
3. Enter the unlocking code #pw+YOURCODEHERE+1#
4. The phone will now unlock.
Nokia BB5 Code Error Problem Help
A lot of Nokia BB5 models require that you force the code to unlock it.
We are noticing this error problem more and more with newer Nokia BB5 phones, even if no attempts have been used on the phone.
Also, if your Nokia phone has had too many wrong attempts (3 + Attempts) using wrong unlock code from unreliable source, then your phone will display one of the following: "Not Allowed" or "Cannot undo restriction". If you have this problem, then use the force code method below
How To Force Nokia BB5 Code
Please follow these steps?
1. Download the program SendCodeUsb.exe (Don't run it just yet.) aka. : " NOKIA BB5 CODE USB SENDER "
2. Download and Install the latest Nokia PC Suite (This installs the phone drivers)
3. Connect your phone to the PC and select PC Suite on your phone screen, then wait for all the drivers to install.
4. Run the 'SendCodeUsb.exe' program.
5. Click the 'Read Phone Info' button to check the connection, you will also see some info about your phone.
6. Tick the 'Check for FBus' option.
7. Enter the unlocking code supplied into the 'Unlock Code (15 digits)' box. NOTE: only enter the middle numbers part
EG if your code is #pw+418636523456123+1#, then just enter 418636523456123
8. Next, select the Lock 'Level (1-7)'. this should be set at 1.
9. Finally Click the 'Send Unlock Code' button to send the code to the phone and unlock it.
Also Note: Some newer Nokia models like X3-02 and others cannot have their code forced by the software in the image above.
So you need to reset the key counter back to zero first using this alternative Nokia Key Counter Reset Software, then enter your code manually via the phones keypad in the normal way
=======================================
Nokia DCT4 Models (Older phones)
1. Turn on your phone without a SIM Card in it
2. Enter the unlocking code # p w + YOUR_CODE_HERE + 1 #
3. The phone will now unlock.
Note: Use the codes ending with either +1#, +7# or even +5#.
=======================================
Models : Nokia DCT3 (Oldest)
1. Turn on your phone without a SIM Card in it
2. Enter the unlocking code # p w + YOUR_CODE_HERE + 1 #
3. The phone will now unlock.
Note: Use the codes ending with either +1# or +2# only.
If the above method fails try inserting a locked SIM (IE one that the phone will not accept) and try the unlock code again.
=======================================
Problems with code supplied?
Firstly Double check the code you ordered by comparing the IMEI submitted with the one on your phone (Type *#06#) if it is different. Also double check that you requested the correct network that the phone is currently locked to.

Put a space after AT like "AT +" and not "AT+". Rest should be written as above..
I recently found a problem while doing method 1
"This command is not allowed in user build"
So the solution for that is:-
When we are writing
AT+EGMR = 1,7,”IMEI_code”
we have to give a space b/w AT and +
so final command will be like this
AT +EGMR=1,7,"IMEI_code"
Hit thanks if it worked for u

FWIW, this doesn't work on a BLU Vivo 5R running Nougat. Gives the same not allowed error with or without the space.

And just to add on, the terminal commands don't work either. They're accepted without any kind of error, but upon reboot there's still nothing there.
Thanks
It worked perfectly on Lenovo tab 2 a8-50lc, couldn't click thank you button though, its greyed out.
P.s: must have root access. Tried without root gave not allowed in userbuild.

No error message either, but not working also.
