Can anyone confirm whether the universal (MDA Pro fro T-Mobile) is capable of having a voicedial initiated via a bluetooth headset?
If not by default is there a small hack? I have a Skypower headset at the moment and which to pair and do this with the device.
Tried searching but 'bluetooth voicedial' returned no applicable results within the universal category
Thanks in advance
Gareth

Hi, I just got a MDA Compact II and i have a few questions regarding the ExtRom.
Right now I managed to "unbrand" the device, but now it lacks some important settings (like GPRS settings, MMS settings)
Some of this issues could be solved by downloading extended_rom_austria_2.6.2.28.zip and installing some of the cabs, which sounded familiar.
To further extend the usability of my device I want to know if there is a list of the .cab files explainig what they exactly do?
Another question involves the usage of a bluetooth earphone.
Is it possible to use a bluetooth stereo headphone and if yes, do all the headphones work?
If somebody has experience with using a bt headphone on the MDA compact i would appreciate a short message.
When searching the forum i also noticed, that it was not possible to use a SD-wifi card on the compcat I.
How´s about the compact II, are there any limitations or can i buy just any sd-wifi available?
Thanks in advance,
Skee.
Has anybody tried the MDA Compact III with a Bluetooth Access Point yet? I recently got one (via Ebay) and was under the impression that it had WLAN (but obviously doesn't).
I really like it and the only time I miss the Wi-Fi/Wlan is when I'm at home. If I could get hold of a BT AP it would bypass the need for Wi-Fi/Wlan provided it would work.
Does anybody know if the MDA Compact III has the LAN Access Profile?
I have a 2001 BMW E39 M5 in which I have retrofitted a Bluetooth module.
It worked fine with my O2 XDA Exec (and with my wife's Nokia 6310i), but I cannot get it to work with my new O2 XDA Orbit or my previous Vario II (HTC Hermes).
I have no problem pairing the phone, but when I ask the car to "Dial Name" or "Dial Number", it just says "Dialling" and nothing happens on the phone. Incoming calls are not picked up by the car either.
Anybody got an Artemis or Hermes to work in an E39?
Jet ware mobile might help - have a look into it

Recently installed new HTC WM6 Rom and all is sweetness and light......except.......When I accept an incoming call on the Bluetooth Motorola HF850, the first 6 -8 seconds are handled by the Orbit and then the bluetooth kicks in - trouble is the caller has hung up by then!
Tried deleting pairing and reinstalling....anyone with ideas?? Thanks.
Hi all,
I am facing the same problem with my Motorola car kit. Very annoying. I can receive calls and after 6-8 secs they can hear me, but I can not make a call, only mutes sound on both the headset and car kit. I have to select "Turn Off Handsfree" to get it to work... HELPPLEASEE!!!!!
Same exact problem here with Hermes - any ideas anybody?
The solution...
Try jetwaremobile.com - it worked for me on Moto and Siemens HF devices... free trial to see if it works...
I have a partial solution:
I answer the phone on the PDA unit, not on the BT unit, and then I click the blue button on the BT car kit and the phone immidiately connects.
This connects much faster than the usual 10 seconds wait if you answer with your Car Kit button.

Hi, this is my first post. I've the same problem with my vario ii (T-mobile) recently upgraded to WM6. Installed the program from jetware and the same problem still persists. Funny enough, it did fix the problem with voice speed dialer.
I've been talking to motorola about their hf850 and they don't have a clue. I used and old MDA Compact II with WM5 and that worked fine with the car kit. I downgraded to WM5 on my Vario II and since this morning my HF850 carkit has been woking as I would expect it to. I definitely think that the problem is with bluetooth on WM6.
I have the same problem with my HTC Tornado (Cingular 2125) with WM6.
Same problem here with Trinity & WM6 - maybe this is a Microsoft/Bluetooth stack problem... any other ideas?
