I have installed the Microsoft Outlook SMS Add-in to my PC Outlook. This Add-in should allow me to send SMS from Outlook, via the modem in a connected phone.
Can this be done with the HTC P3300? I cannot make the add-in recognise the phone modem.
Grateful for any help.

I know that Activesync is free and helps to sync my PPC to Microsoft Outlook and it is based on Partnership. I want to sync the same Microsoft Outlook .PST file which can reside in my Office PC and my Home PC.
Even when I have the same .PST file in Microsoft Outlook from my office PC copied to my home PC, Activesync will take it as a different PC and I'll have to combine all the information from my PPC and Microsoft Outlook and delete duplicates after that. This is very troublesome.
Is there something or setting that I can do on Activesync to solve this problem or is there other software that can solve this troublesome step?
When I was using Palm OS, I don't have this problem
Thanks.

Hello, the company I work for has disable ActiveSync and therefore I cannot sync my email/contact/calendar, etc. from the Exchange Server.
As such I have a work-around for email/calendar, but need my contacts from MS Outlook on my Hermes. Is there a way to manually import my contacts onto the WM6 phone?
I am open to other work-arounds....thanks in advance.

The simplest workaround is copy the contacts folder from the Exchange Server to a local .PST and then sync trought Outlook 2003 in your local PC. This is two phase sync, but this is the only you can do if ActiveSync is disable in your Exchange Server.
Be carefull when ActiveSync come back with the dup contacts..
I use Outlook 2007 fairly intensively and would love a way to be able to set up sms sync between phone and outlook in a similar way to email.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
I don't think this is possible as I would have done it a long time ago.
However, there is a free program which you can download and when you connect your phone via Active Sync, you can see/send/receive text messages from you PC.
It's called Mobile Express made by Efficasoft
Have you tried 'Microsoft My Phone', you can see and sync all your SMS to and from the internet using your live account.
Not realy what you asked for but its along those lines
I use Jeyo mobile extender 2.5

Hi,
You may also check how to send SMS from Outlook Mobile Service (Outlook 2007) with Ozeki NG SMS Gateway:

I just connect the cable and activesync and outlook just sync no problem in XP.
What gives with win7?
It says outlook is not configured?
Can't find anything in outlook to configure.
Anyone know how to sync outlook with hermes in win7?
it should be automatic if you have a outlook mail in your win7 (office 2003 or 2007 or 2010) if not... it will only backups contacs.
So I recently upgraded my htc tilt to wm 6.5. I have setup activesync 4.5 on home pc to use with outlook on pc and phone. But the email send/receive option is grayed out on phone, unless phone is connected to pc via usb cable. I want to be able to send and receive verizon emails via phone (or pc), then sync up later to combine emails. I can send receive emails by a separately created email account (and I can sync it to outlook on pc), but it will not work with the mobile outlook email account. I have searched the posts and on the web, and see some people having similar issues, but no solutions.
Please help!
