Hi. I have a Motorola Q (original) currently running WM5. I've seen many posts regarding upgrading various WM5 devices to WM6 including the GSM version of the Moto Q. I've also seen many posts similar to this one but they were all dead ends. I know it would possible to cook a WM6 ROM for the original CDMA Moto Q, but I don't know where to start. Is anyone working on this? Or can anyone point me in the right direction? I would even attempt to create one myself if anyone can get me started.
Thanks.

i just got this phone nice phone dont know much about pda phones was wondering if wm6 can be upgraded to this phone or unlocked thanks
does anyone know anything more about this?
Also interested to know whether or not one can flash a GSM tytn rom to the Telus P4000??????????????
My general understanding about flashing the "Titan" with a "tytn" rom is that your going to brick your phone. The two phones are completly different, there are some people working on getting a ROM out there, also there is word that an WM6 update is comming soon.

Thanks Stuie, I wasnt aware of that. I know I would've attempted to flash that Telus P4000 sometime or later with a TyTn rom.

Hi. I’m not sure if this is the best forum section but here goes.
I have an Orange HTC Touch Diamond and HTC say I need to upgrade to the latest ROM update to resolve a specific issue that’s making my phone almost impossible to use. The problem is that they won’t supply the ROM update because my phone is branded Orange. Orange doesn’t offer any ROM updates because they're useless so either way I’m stuck. The tech chap at Orange said to look around the web and find the download from somewhere else which is what I’m trying to do. Can anyone help? Perhaps someone can download the latest (Feb 09) update and let me have it?
Regards,
John
You should search or ask in Diamond section:

Hi Guys,
I'm afraid I'm a bit of a N00B, but I've just recieved the HTC Desire with Telstra (AUS) ROM.
I'd like to contribute to the community: can anyone point out an Idiots Guide to maming an image of the ROM?

Cant be done as yet mate. Im guessing you are wanting to upgrade to the unbranded ROM?
Nope not looking for unbranded. Just wanting to copy the Telstra Rom so that others can dissect and play with it
The Telstra one has some extra apps (including what looks to be a new flash plugin) that may be of interest to Cookers....
So anyone help me to create an image of this phone??
I need to do this too. For a different reason. Telstra loaded the ROM up with 'cr-apps' that are basically just links to their web pages. It's horrible, but worst they broke the GPS in the process.
Someone has created a gold card and reports that this makes the GPS work (and gets rid of the crap) but Telstra won't provide warranty on devices with other ROMs.
So...I may need to put it back.
Can someone point us in the right direction? It must be possible yeah?
Edit: Stuffed GPS thread, Crappy ROM thread on Whirlpool
Hi all,
does anyone happen to know a method to get rid of a SIM/netlock on an i9250, preferably permanently?
The last threads I found regarding this topic are either pointing at no longer existing downloads, or describe manual methods that worked with 4.x builds only,
which doesn't help me much since I recently flashed the 5.0.2 AOSP ROM on my device, and I'd prefer to keep that.
Please point me in the right direction...
Best regards
