Hi, I have seen that other phones have forum sections called "themes, skins etc" but not for the Touch HD, I wonder why?
So I'm asking if there are any cool themes out there for this device?
Probaly want to make one myself later also, I guess I can find a "how-to" here somewhere.
Right now I just think that to much is only meant for the "Diamond" that are out, even if the systems are pretty much the same but the screen isnt so results vary alot in quality of applications and themes!
So, more fun stuff made for the Touch HD!! =)

There are signficant differences between Diamond and HD. The Stocks icon doesn´t exist for the Diamond, so many themes won´t fit in HD.
Besides that, if we have a subforum for themes and etc, it´s going to estimulate the creation of new themes dedicated to HD.
I vote for the creation of this subforum! =)

I´m sure Giznetic´s themes are awesome. But you have to agree that it would be nice if we have a subforum dedicated only to this.

guys i want i new sub forum just as much as you guys do... but XDA will not make one because I am the only one creating themes at the moment... As time goes on and more people develop then they will add it....

I'm totally agree! It's all to confusing, especially install/uninstall themes to HD!

I also got bored with my TF3D and wanted some new skins and stuff.
In essence you all are right, but you can use almost all the TF3D skins, icons, buttos, curtains and sliders from the Diamond. Clocks (especially analog) don't work to well.

I use ThemeMaker McDeb ( http://www.mcdeb.com/tmmcdeb/ ). It works with WM6, too. The only thing I'm not able to do, is to determine the taskbar color. It seems that WM6 is generating that color (or the glass effect) from one of the other colors.

Definitely - if there's anyone who's got either some proprietary software or cleverly made their own and wants to share a link, deffo please do so - I abandoned trying yonks ago through lack of getting anywhere. The software I tried was either not suited to WM5 & 6 or had very poor UI.

I've had same problem trying to find easy to work
with software for making thmes. I finally gave up trying though and took
up mixing and matching existung themes from others.
Currently using Wisbar 2.7.x as the LCARS theme doen't like 2.8 or above
and Wisbar advanced desktop 1.2
while these are commercial packages, there tons of free themes tostart
you off on lakeridge sofware's website forum and I even found a few really keen
ones on a russian site 4PDA.RU
Google the following Wisbar to get the software
then google 4PDA.RU wisbar and look for the wisbar skins and thmes link to thier page
theres like at least 20+ skins and themes there and more on the lakeridge software forums
enjoy. note: normally I'd post links but I'm in my car at moment using
my hermes bluetooth internet sharing for the hsdpa speed it gives and

Hey guys I am planning on buying an HTC Touch HD after previously having a Touch Diamond. I was very interested in making TF3D themes for the Diamond and wish to do the same for the HD, 1 step early. If any of you guys have the htc touch hd manila files I would be more than happy to get some themes going even before I get my HD. So Please can one of you upload the manila files.

When I bought my first PPC, I didn't have a clue on how to mod it, or do any of the cool stuff I saw other people were doing. I read the forums for a good week, and tried to find out all the info I could. Afterwards, I tried a few mods and they worked! There were a couple of times where I couldn't figure something out, THATS when I posted and asked questions that were answered by forum members. You have to do some reading, research & experimentation about things first, you can't just post a general question and expect everyone to spoon-feed you the information. Read a few threads dealing with how to do what you want to do, use the search, and you will see someone has asked the same questions you have now. Download the .CAB files you need, and happy modding!

all i want to know is if i am using the right software i download something name the diamondtf3d i can chage the skin but the skin comes like half way down the screen i guess that because it was design for the diamond which has a small screen so i want to know if there is a version for the blackstone
Depends on the theme. Some themes can be obtained by just replacing manilla files in your Windows folder. Search for instructions in the appropriate theme thread.

can the diamond TF3D config used to edit/add themes for HTC HD / blackstone? will there be any problem?
Using a Diamond tool on your Blackstone/HD could cause trouble because the screen resolution and size are way different (Blackstone 480x800, Diamond 640x480)

I've tried Giannis86 x-mas theme from last year but can't get it to work with the new ROM's. Tried it on the stock 6.1 ROM and it worked great but I dont wanna go back to 6.1 now that I tried the new 6.5 ROM's
It's the same with Alfoalfo's xmas clock, works on 6.1 but doesn't work on 6.5.

Somewhere here on xda is a thread for a theme generator that is linked to this site: http://ppcthemeonweb.benthon.com/ThemeOnWebEn.htm
At that site, you can generate themes to your heart's content. You just have to get some Christmas images of your choice and save the Jpegs on your computer to be used by the online theme generator.

You just need to know your screen resolution when you select the initial theme. Prior to this, you need appropriate pix stored in a directory. Then you will set up the landscape and portrait lay outs. If I remember correctly, once you tell the website you want to create the theme, it will provide a link for the download of the theme it creates using your info.
The developer did a nice job and does not add watermarks or other info indicating his site was used to create your theme.
I did one or two themes just after I discovered the thread here and have the exterior website as a Favorite.
If you're going to publish your theme, I'd recommend going to http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page unless you're good at creating home made pix. Wiki Commons has pictures that are in the Public Domain that can be used without violating a copyright. Typically if you use a picture in the Common Domain, you might want to attribute where you found it and release using the same Public Domain license.
Using the Search box off to the left side of the screen will call up pictures.

It creates a very basic theme one probably more suited for non-touch/non-TouchFlo PDA or smartphone. It's capable of creating every smartphone's theme - you just need to know your phone's resolution. I don't have a Blackstone or knwo what WVGA is. I have built two basic QVGA themes for my Jade Clone because I looked up my resolution and worked with the online theme generator to build themes.
You have to become your own master if you want to have Christmas themes.
HTC Touch HD resolution is 480x800..
There were no such resolution to choose.
Tried HDWall but can't get it to work, will try even more

Let me point out yet another work of Nordpolcamper (thank) already tested on HD2, and running 100% on HD MINI. Note the arrangement of the connections with sliding effect on large wallpaper.Photo example my (HD MINI) below.

Hoola, even though I did not quite understand everything you wrote, I do agree
This forum has tought and given me a lot, so sharing & helping is for me very important as well.
HD Mini Themes or CHT Themes would be a great start, but also lot´s of work to keep the thread updated
