German QTEK ROM ready for download!

After an 12 hour odyssey with the new t-mobile rom (1.20...), I finally decided to switch back to my original german qtek rom. Unfortunately I didn't dumped my original one - so I've called a friend who owns a qtek 9000 too. I was lucky - tomorrow he's going to sale it on ebay...
I could dump the qtek rom, encode it and load it onto my own. There is just one problem: the original install app will not work. You have to use the noID-version. Don't worry if the routine fails - try again.
The worst case: the qtek gets in bootloader mode - good for you. The rom updating will work seamless now. If you get stuck into that bootloader mode, just remove the "ms_.nbf" & "nk.nbf" and perform only the radio update again - after a hardreset the good old gtek splash screen will show up and you'll be fine or lets just say: welcome to your new mda pro without any branding stuff (you'll love the dialer skin!)

available RAM with various ROMs
Hi,
I just wonder if e.g. the qtek rom leaves more RAM? I am desperately looking for more RAM, there is never enough. I have the new t-mobile rom, it is much more stable than the old one, but the RAM situation has not changed. I have 1800 contacts, and when I reset the MDA Pro I will start with roughly 15 MB, very soon they will be down to 10 (once the mail has been checked) and from then on...I cannot make a video call, I can hardly use the camera, I can just about open a web page and than I am down to 2....I don't know why other people have no problems with this, but for me....I need 20-30 MB more...
Is there a solution to this? Is at least qtek rom a bit more generous?

Looks like that link is broken. I can't open it. It shows permission denied. Where else can i get german ROM update. Or Russian.

You are absolutely right on this one - the TMo dialer is ugly as can be.
That's why I replaced it by this one.

Can I use a Qtek rom on a IMATE jasjar?
I have this imate jasjar in english and i want it in spanish. The only rom i saw was for qtek.

agustinpac: yes, it is possible.
e.g. I installed qtek on t-mobile..
what you need is the MANoID installer that will make that the device is not going to check if the upgrade is "legitimate" or not.
If you have an extracted complete set of installation files in one directory
you just exchange the original installer with this NoID installer that a very proficient member of this forum wrote.
and then you should put the device in bootloader mode by makin a reset while pressing the light button and the power button together, then connect to the pc and start the installation by launching the noid installer.
after 20 min you are done. by the way: this way you can mix also rom, ext rom and radio versions from different origin and release version.

Hello agustinpac,
I was the one who uploaded the QTEK spanish ROM as this was the ROM installed in my device, but i needed an english one. I'm now using the JASJAR and i think the O2 is better but have no time to flash back to O2. Or maybe wait for the new ROMS which are esupposed to be out next moth at latest. Never tried T-Mobile.
There are 2 QTEK spanish files. one is the rom update which updates ROM and Radio, and the other is the extended ROM which you have to install manually. To do this, Unlock ExtROM( search how to do this). Extract Extended ROM Zip file to a directory in your SD card. Then use Total commander and copy these files to the extended_rom partition. Hard Reset. This should do it.
Contact me if you need more help. Also, if you install this ROM, your hardware keyboard will be Spanish, meaning "Ñ" is one of the keys on the keyboard (under the K key) and also other keys will be remapped. If you need to remap the hardware keyboard to english, tell me also. The software keyboard will display and work as a spanish keyboard so no problems with this one.

T-Mobile UK Universal ROM 130.114

Not sure if this been posted before but here is the UK T-Mobile Update:

I am just upgrading my Exec with this Rom, Had the Dutch one on my unit a few days ago but have been trying them all out for the past few days. I think I will be sticking with this rom for now.

Someone allready tested this rom? As I compared the radio version to the 1.11 and to the radio of the latest dutch T-mobile rom I find it to be different.

Does anyone know which cab puts the battery meter green?

The green meter is integrated into ROM IMO. It's kinda ugly but better in functionality than the one older ROMs have.

I'm sorry if this question is stupid, but is due I'm really a beginner. If I install this room in my universal does it mind that it force to be connected to gsm by Tmobile?

no, you can connect to movistar, vodafone or amena as well. But i recomend to you to install lastest qtek rom.....

my device is imate jasjar and I heard that qtek usually provide bad updates... which is your recomendation? where is qtek update?

What's lacking? What's new?

Hard to say. I would say that if qtek is working well for you then keep it. It doesn't have anything exciting except for OS Version numbers or the green battery indicator.

Im installing it now.. but the thing I liked most of all the ROMS was the Cyberon voice commonder in the DOPOD extended ROM. BUt I am having bluetooth issues with the DOPOD rom so thus the upgrade.
Can I install the cvc-ppc-dpd-900-usa.CAB out of the extended DOPOD rom on another ROM? Guess I will find out..

Latest and greatest is the TLR Rom.
Is best for me, fastests. Think it is nr.1 right now, but it maybe would not be a bad thing just to wait for a week or so, coz development goes really fast.

Same here. I think i flash him now max. each 2 weeks. Because else i do nothing more then flashing . TLR Rom is fastest, at the moment available.

it says based on UK version.

Yes, it will work, but you may have to flash HardSPL (developer edition) first before the ROM is accepted for flashing.

thanks, now i only need a full backup program, to backup settings sms, email, music photos and applications.

TMobile base one is nice. Pink and white color base which are tmobile colors.

have u checked the animations !!! in .38 u will see no animation effects

.38 is animated while scrolling sms messages, I havent noticed that before but the overal performance felt slower than the stock TF3D so i already gave my device a hard reset again.

I extracted the O2 Manila one, checked on my device it works, please check if it works on other devices to..

Nope, the english vodafone rom is not yet found , but a french version is availalble here, i thought you coulld be able to extract the cab from it.
I might be speaking incorrect here,,,, am not sure.

Yes and No... Some can coexisting together but others will make your Manila action slow as hell.

Could you point me in the direction of any stock ROMs, so I can do my own extracts too?

I tried some, and can't wait to see some edited versions Specially the Orange one looks nice, and has a slightly different layout on some tabs. Unfortunately, some tabs/features won't work when you're not using an Orange network.

o2 xda diamond

Hallo there,
I have an o2 Xda Diamond DIAM300, bought from Germany. I flashed the developer version of Olinex HardSPL (confirmed by SPL 1.40 Olinex in the tri-color screen). What I need now is a WWE rom to flash. I tried 2-3 1.93.xx roms from here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=400411, but they all stop at 1% progress into the flash (as if I've no HardSPL). Any ideas?

I got the same phone, from o2. I tried the 1.4 version before i switched to the 1.93 version from olinex. Since i use this i can flash any available rom.

Do you might know which Rom is the most current offical German HTC Rom and can provide me a downloadlink. On this page here are so many different links concerning this topic, that i am nearly loosing the overview

is the best version in german language. Im german too, but i use panoshas athena 0.8 rom.
I tried all available roms in the last days. Panoshas was the only cooked one without bugs, and the most stable, with a nice battery life but in english
The fastest official rom is the norwegian release, but i prefer the hk_wwe rom, which is also in english.

I will stick to the German Rom for a while, I do like to have my phone in German

It was hard for me too, to switch the language, but you can change any settings and layouts to german, including a full german tf3d. Only WM 6.1 is still in the flashed rom language.

Hiya guys, i am really new to this and just got my first WM device a few days ago from O2, i have the Diamond/Ignito, and was hoping to flash the official HTC rom onto it, however there are a few things i cant find out.
i need to know what the SMS and WEP settings are and how to input them?
Because i have the free unlimited web bolt on i dont want to occur any charges for web browsing etc.
Also do the settings apply for 3G and all the other things the Diamond supports, or are they separate?
After i know this i can start looking for a ROM, and hope i can even flash it with the ROM thats already installed.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
