Has anybody came across this problem, I recently flashed to Duttys 3.1 Final and Radio BS14 and now my phone loses its signal to my Tmobile network when I unplug it from my charger. But when I plug it back in, it locates the network in a few seconds. But I am getting a lot of dropped calls when it shows I have full bars. Any ideas on why it might be doing this? I dont want to have to make calls and text only when its plugged in. Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated guys.

ya i tried almost 5 different radios and ROMs and no luck.
The guy in this thread reported the same problem I am having but it does not look like there was any solution to this problem. Do you think I may have flashed to 1.93 in a way that could have screwed up the radio or internal antenna?

Go find a original rom from HTC or your provider. - FLash it and tell us if it solves the problem.

does HTC have download links to those original ROMs, because I got my diamond when it first came out, I think it was 1.34 if I remember right so ill try flashing back to that ROM if I can find it. Im not sure what version the radio was though.

Hello everybody,
I'm using WM6 for Hermes LVSW Edition (2007-03-26). And suddenly I've got several problem with my phone:
Sometimes it wont start after a soft-reset
Sometimes it freezes after a period of time
Sometimes I cannot end calls. Press red phone button onscreen, or hardwarekey
Sometimes when I open Device Information, Radio version and Protocol version are empty
A lot of sometimes, so I didnt know exactly what to do but I tried a lot of thing to solve it:
Reflash and reinstall all my software (SPB Pocket plus, Tomtom, Resco Explorer)
Reflash ROM and leave it without other software
Hard reset
Finally I tried flashing de Radio-Rom with version 1.38.30.10. And it hassen't crash for 2 hours! Wow!
Does anybody experience the same problems?
I had this issue with previous versions of WM6 but with LVSW 26-03 and WM Black 2.0 don`t have problems at all
Regards,
Primoz
I've had problems with both
It only happen 3 times since it came out. Oh well, beta stage ROM is usually like this. Same as Vista beta test.

I would suggest that you flash first Radio V 1.38.00.10 then do a hardreset then install LVSW again. And then you should test it some days without installing any additional software - especially those three you mentioned. For me and my unbranded HTC Tytn LVSW and Black 2.0 worked great without any bigger issue.
Another issue
Another issue: When I call myself (Something I don't very often ) i got redirected to my voicemail even though my phone says I've got good reception! After that happened, my phone went to no service and up to good reception in 2 seconds.

What is wrong with 1.38.30.10?
According to a lot of posts here and in some other forums its draining the battery very fast.
And referring to your "selfcalling" problem: Every once in a while I notice the same with my SE P910 so I think its a provider problem. Sometimes I got the message "new voicemailmessage" although my phone showed me full reception.
Yes! So i am not going mad.
Well i was running 1.38.30.10 and i was receiving same problems. (My phone has full reception and callers kept getting forwarded to voice mail. Even SMS's wouldnt go through)
I changed over to 1.38.00.11 and its working fine for 2 days now.
I am running XDA .20 if that helps.

I have had this issue with every rom on my device. It happened with the stock Cingular rom and every rom I have flashed since then. It doesn't happen every call but does happen at least once a day for me. Not a big deal but kind of annoying when it happens.

suggest you try the genuine hermes radio instead, 1.38.00.10. It MAY be something to do with being a trin radio, or even try the newer 1.38.30.10?

im going to give this ROM just a few more days of testing before i flash another one on...
i would blame this all on the radio.. i experience the very same issue on wm5 roms and i am using 1.35.00.11 radio, have tried the 2 different 1.38's and still had the problem.. i didnt have this problem on 1.33 but the reception was horrible... so i picked the lesser of the evils and stuck with 1.35.....

Same experience, the radio to take me less problem level was 1.34.
1.38 was very bad, lot of call lossed, sms lossed. 1.35 was not so bad, but lost same calls. 1.34 works fine (or as fine as it can) and better than 1.33.
So far im happy with my RADIO (check my sig). Havent ahd any of those issues, and trust me i had many of them. Business clients would complain to me why my phone was off all day long, when in actual fact i had full signal!!!
Anyway, will let ya know if something goes funny with this RADIO..

If it isn't working after all of that, it sounds like a hardware failure. Send it in for repair/replacement.

If it is working only sometimes on various ROMs and radios, then it is not software related. That points to hardware. My recommendation has not changed. Based on your own testing, you should send it in for a repair or a replacement. There is either something wrong with the hardware or you are somewhere that has no signal. I'm giving you the benefit of doubt that you aren't in a cave somewhere and have verified that you have service, so that means your hardware is failing.

Changing the SPL or ROM voids the warranty completely, regardless of whether your problem is hardware or software related. Flash the ROM back to stock, and put the stock SPL back on it. Stock SPL is in the Hard SPL thread.
after installing this (miui) rom overnight everything was working fine. I realised later at work, i got no signal on my fone. i thought may be coz i am in my workplace (hospital - big and grounded buildings). then i finished my work and came back home, still there is absolutely no signal on my fone whatsoever. i tried every other rom still no signal omg. any1 have any idea what went wrong? or any1 familiar? btw i am with vodafone. i dont think its hardware issues or is it one?

What radio version ya are using...? The latest one is 11.04.21_M.
However for Miui recommended Radio_12.54.60.25_26.09.04.11_M2.
Most people don't have any issues using different RIL, if changing radio didn't help ya. Try to find the RIL matching your radio version too.
look here for Radio http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877295&highlight=radio

Since a week I experienced some issues with my Galaxy Nexus. If I try to make a phone call, halfway the connection stops and it says my phone is in airplane mode, but is isn't. I tried the Milestone 3 ROM and now I use the AOSP Rom, I had it with both ROM's. I don't know if more people are experiencing the same problem?
Please let me know!

Did you try changing baseband or radio? Never had this issue before or heard of it but changing radio or baseband might sort it out. Good luck, that would drive me insane!!!

Yes, it really drives me insane!! I tried different radio, but no change whatsoever.
I'll try the stock rom, maybe it's an hardware issue.
Thanks for your reply.
Might help to group this issue to the many others in this sub forum.

GSM model!
I read updating the bootloader has fixed radio stability issues. I did it myself this morning. I would be sitting here and all of a sudden realize I don't have a signal and would have to reboot.
Hey,
I noticed that around two days ago my HOX started acting up.
It has low to no signal most of the time, no data connection, or it shows the data connection with the "E" letter.
I have rooted it long time ago, and ran RENOVATED rom, and had no problems. it started without me doing any alterations.
So I switched to Revolution to make sure it is not rom related, and the issue persists.
Any ideas what could be the problem? tried searching for it, nothing seemed useful.
Phone details:
Kernel version: 3.1.10
Baseband version: 5.1204.162.29
Build number: 3.14.401.31 CL128187 release-keys
Thanks!
SOLVED: Read below for details.
i suggest changing networks to make sure its not a network related issue
Changing the network, by that you mean trying to change the SIM?
I have tested another SIM and I still had the same issues. and my SIM seemed to be working fine on another device.
GetLIR reported that I have the correct versions. I am really clueless as to what is the problem..

yeah that's what i meant - did you try a factory reset ?
And if that doesn't help either i think you should backup everything and get back to stock then start everything again from square 1 .
why fix it if it ain't broken ?

i cannot say for sure that its a hardware issue but that seems likely as you've said that this whole thing began all of sudden without you messing up anything so you better check with nearby service centre .

Thanks for the help, I have managed to fix it.
I have opened it, and saw that the signal cable was not connected all the way. connected it, put it back and I now have 5 bars. YAY

hi!
thank you for your post, did you by any chance take pictures of where that cable is?
and how dificult it is to reach it?
my phone is under warranty, actually just came from service, and now im having bad signal reception, in the same areas where my previous "i" phone had full bars allways and no problems with signal, no drop outs, nothing,
and with Hox is almost very low, or no signal, and constant breakups in withing calls.
sending it back to service is pain in the ass, its far, postage, time to wait for them to fix it, again....
