I dont speak russian and i cant get the X51v ROM by Football&mun_rus rom because when i click on it sends me the russian forum, which request registration info. I don't want 6.1 because it can not support the software i want. I need the X51v ROM with windows mobile aku 3.5.2. Please, please help me. Send it to me or tell me how to get it, everywhere i find it is a dead end link or a link to the russian forum. thank very much ahead of time.

Friend, I think that screenshot with memory is nessecary, post please. I mean screen of control panel aplet with memory: all, used, free. Best way - get this screen directly after Hard rest.

Sorry for the delayed reply.There were small bugs like camera not starting and threaded SMS, now are solved completely.ROM results are excellent, I am trying new LCD driver and sound files, and I will post a link for download.pls watch this space I shd do it by this Sunday

I have a question that doesn't belong to this thread but please reply - this seems to be the highest concetration of p550 users so far that I have seen.
The question is - do any of You have problems with in-call volume adjustment not working? And also, if You reply - do You have ASUS P550 or the Vodafone branded v1520?
I have the problem with in-call volume slider not working and so far I haven't found any solution
Please help to specify the problem. I think that if original ASUS doesn't have this problem, then it must be Vodafone's extended CABs that are causing the problem. Also it might be the Wizard reTOUCHed Dialer2 which I have installed, but I don't know yet as I haven't had time to hard-reset and configure the device again.

Also, my camera sometimes dont work, only with hard reset it starts to work but after sometime stop again.

I'm assuming PTB is an abbreviation for Brazilian Portuguese. As with Spanish and just about every other language, the only way to get WM6.1 localized is to get it from your cellular carrier or the phone's manufacturer.
I'd suggest talking with rickwyatt to see if Windows Mobile is as easy to localize as more enlightened operating systems.
For now there is just a "generic" HTC rom for PTB.

Yeah, as far as I know (from what I've searched and asked) that's the current status, and there's no wm 6.1 version, only wm 6.0.

A while ago, Ricky started a thread of how to cook your own ROM. I was trying to translate Ricky's ROM to spanish but I had no luck. It took several hard resets to finally give up. I think (and sure it's applicable to all languages) that the translation has to do something with .mui files and folders. I got them from some ROM in spanish but then I had no idea of how to put them all in an installable ROM and finally working. I think it would be a great idea if we all try to come with some tutorial of how to do this. Any ideas will be welcome.

My fone has a region lock on it that can only support the Russian rom. Is it possible to cook the rom and convert the language to english??

I've vasted a loot of time on searching it (~4 days -.-) but at last I've found it
In that time I've seen a loot of posts with asking for link to wm6.1 for Jaq3, so I will post it here. I don't really know, but I think it is english wersion, beacuse guy who was posting it wrote on chinese forum something like this:
"i-mate jaq3+ 英文ROM". I wish that it is working
You have to copy 2 files from .rar on your microSD card, turn off the phone (pull out battery ;P) and push those buttons: FN+ON.
